growing social sensitivity towards the centrality of environmental issues directs the
market preferences of consumers to green-oriented products that respect, starting from
the production chain, standards compliant with the new circular economy. As a result,
companies, the main stakeholders of consumer choices, are interested in communicating
the environmental impact indications of products placed on the market. The distorted
use of the aforementioned claims (so-called greenwashing), purely aimed to a return of
image and lacking an adequate connection with the business policies actually followed,
raises delicate and urgent issues of consumer protection and distortion of competitive
mechanisms
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
The 'Social' as symbolic: the distinction between Public and Private in contemporary societies in light of feminist thought (and with a digression on surrogacy contracts)
Full text linkAccording to Hayek’s classic distinction between Private and Public the one would correspond to a space of freedom and to a spontaneous (or unintentional) order, the other to a space of authority and to a planned (or intentional) order; the one to Liberalism, the other to Socialism. Recalling the case of surrogacy contracts, the article argues that, today, this distinction is collapsing. The Private and the Contract have ended up expressing an authoritarian logic of planification of the social world: the pleas to individual freedom and self-determination are used performatively, disguising a purpose of governing the entire society which is purely intentional. By reaction, the supporters of the planned order have sharpened their authoritarian arguments: people can claim no freedom, if not that recognized by laws in the general interests. How to escape from such a dead end? With the help of Feminist Thought and by recalling the pioneering experience of the Saint-Simoniennes, the article maintains that the dualism between Public and Private has always been too poor. In fact, it does not take into account that the social has a political and spiritual, i.e., symbolic, dimension, which exceeds both sides of that traditional alternative
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Gli effetti del benessere sociale percepito sull'intenzione d'acquisto dei prodotti green
No full textQuesto studio fornisce una comprensione del legame esistente tra la percezione del benessere sociale da parte dei consumatori di prodotti green, intenzioni d’acquisto e WOM (passaparola). Consideriamo variabili moderatrici, costrutti che misurano la percezione dei prodotti green, inclusi indicatori BES, e variabili psicologiche inerenti all’ambiente, con una ricerca quantitativa avente ad oggetto prodotti green derivanti da produzioni di acquacoltura sostenibile nel mare Jonio. I risultati mostrano una relazione inversa tra benessere sociale percepito e variabili comportamentali, e che i consumatori sono più attratti dall’utilità del prodotto green, rispetto al prezzo e alla qualità. La preoccupazione ambientale modera l’effetto del benessere sociale percepito, mostrando implicazioni per marketers e managers derivanti dalla valorizzazione di tali prodotti che, unitamente a percezioni positive dei consumatori e al benessere percepito, possono garantire opportunità per lo sviluppo sostenibile correntemente al Goal 12 dell’agenda ONU che incentiva produzioni e consumi responsabili

No full textIl contributo affronta il tema della compatibilità dei limiti di accesso alle misure assistenziali per gli stranieri extracomunitari con le posizioni espresse dalla Corte di Giustizia dell’Unione Europea in materia di parità di trattamento nell’accesso alle prestazioni di sicurezza sociale, in special modo con riferimento alle prestazioni assistenziali che rientrano tra le misure per le quali vige l’obbligo di coordinamento comunitario. L’Agenda 2030, infatti, prevede l’impegno degli Stati ad “assicurare pari opportunità e ridurre le disuguaglianze nei
risultati, anche eliminando leggi, politiche e pratiche discriminatorie e promuovendo legislazioni, politiche e azioni appropriate a tale proposito” (Goal 10.3), ed è in quest’ottica che appare opportuno valutare le politiche sociali italiane. Attraverso la ricostruzione delle posizioni dottrinali e giurisprudenziali, specialmente a seguito delle oscillazioni della Corte costituzionale in materia, si delinea un quadro chiaramente diretto verso
