História de uma História
Júlio Frank, born in Gotha in 1808, Germany, isa very questioned personality in the History of Brazil, mainly São Paulo. He was professor of a course attached to the Faculty of Law in this city. He founded in 1831 a secret society named “Burschenschaft” known as the “Bucha” with a philanthropical purpose and liberal approach. Júlio Frank wrote the first Universal History published in Brazil. He and Libero Badaró introduced the liberalism in São Paulo. Such a personality suffered, of course, many criticisms but has also a great number of defenders. Brasil Bandecchi in his paper “Bucha, the Freemasonry and the liberal spirit” herein presented, exposes the history of Júlio Frank’s “Summary of the Universal History”, issued in 1839 pointing out the issued unjust critics about this book. In short, Brasil Bandecchi sets forth the author and his work in his historical time so the reader will be able to grasp the real position of the book in the contexture of the didactic textbooks in Brazil

Collective Improvisation: The Practice and Vision of Ingemar Lindh
Ingemar Lindh's research on the principles of collective improvisation and performance conceived as process announce an important development in the 20th-century tradition of the actor's work. After early studies with Étienne Decroux and working collaborations with Jerzy Grotowski, Eugenio Barba, and Yves Lebreton, Lindh founded the first laboratory theatre in Sweden in 1971, the Institutet för Scenkonst. His practice of collective improvisation is viewed in light of postdramatic concerns such as its resistance to fixed scores, directorial montage, and choreography as an organizing principle
Genome scan for the possibility of identifying candidate resistance genes for goat lentiviral infections in the Italian Garfagnina goat breed
Small ruminant lentiviruses (SRLVs) are a heterogeneous group of viruses of sheep, goat, and wild ruminants responsible of lifelong persistent infection leading to a multisystem chronic disease. Increased evidences indicate that host genetic factors could influence the individual SRLV resistance. The present study was conducted on the Garfagnina goat breed, an Italian goat population registered on the Tuscan regional repertory of genetic resources at risk of extinction. Forty-eight adult goats belonging to a single flock were studied. SRLV diagnosis was achieved by serological tests and 21 serologically positive animals were identified. All animals were genotyped with the Illumina GoatSNP60 BeadChip and a genome-wide scan was then performed on the individual marker genotypes, in an attempt to identify genomic regions associated with the infection. One SNP was found significant (P < 5 × 10 −5 ) on CHR 18 at 62,360,918 bp. The SNP was an intron of the zinc finger protein 331 (ZNF331) protein. In the region 1 Mb upstream the significant SNP, the NLRP12 (NLR family pyrin domain containing 12), the PRKCG (protein kinase C gamma), and the CACNG7 (calcium voltage-gated channel auxiliary subunit gamma 7) were found
