The needs and challenges for water footprinting in arid regions
Climate change has left its traces on the planet in the last 3 decades. Most of the influenced areas were occupied in the Middle East which was degraded to desertification phenomena today. The per capita share of renewable water has been reduced to less than the poverty line of 1,000 m3/(capita) and in some Arab countries, to less than the extremepoverty line of 500 m3/(capita)
Permissibility of Advance Payment in Online Sales: An Analysis Studi of Fiqh Muamalah
This article discusses online buying and selling, especially contracts. The author found several consumers who carried out the buying and selling. This research aims to find out the practice of paying at the beginning of a transaction in online buying and selling and how Fikih Muamalah reviews this practice. Type of normative, empirical research with qualitative descriptive analysis. The respondents of this research were 21 consumers who made payments in advance for online buying and selling in the Loa Janan Ilir sub-district. The data collection techniques used by the author are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is data management from interviews, documentation, and literature using qualitative descriptive analysis patterns. The results of this research obtained: first, the practice of payment at the beginning of transactions in online buying and selling in the community in Loa Janan Ilir sub-district is carried out by buyers ordering goods in the online shop application and stating the specifications of the desired goods and making payment immediately in advance according to the stated price. In the visual depiction, it is to be noted that the total cost encompasses not only the item's price but also the shipping charges. Furthermore, it must be noted that the dispatch of the goods in question will be deferred for several days before their shipment. Second, people in Loa Janan Ilir often buy and sell online using greeting contracts. Where payment must be made immediately for something that is still pending. This is permitted by some scholars as long as it does not conflict with Sharia law‟ applicable. However, some scholars do not allow this buying and selling because it is considered detrimental to one party. The seller must state in detail the details of the goods being sold to avoid elements of fraud

Power in the Blood
This work was embargoed by the author and will not be publicly available until April 2020.This thesis is a memoir depicting, through dramatized scenes, my spiritual journey through the occult and yoga and my subsequent, miraculous conversion to Christianity. The first third of the manuscript describes my spiritual search and struggles from age fourteen to twenty-three. The middle section focuses on the pivotal moments that turned me to Christ. The final third concludes with several essays illustrating my new life as a Christian with a particular emphasis on the working of the Holy Spirit. By my personal experiences, the thesis illustrates that if anyone is in Christ, he is dead to his old ways and born again as a new creature
The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the Islamic Tradition: The question of legal capacity in focus
Legal capacity of persons with mental disabilities was a contentious issue during the process of drafting the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The Arab Group, consisting of Muslim-majority countries, in the United Nations expressed reservations about the formulation of the Article related to this issue. However, their reservations were dismissed because they arguably had to do with language-specificity. The author revisits these deliberations and argues that the reservations of the Arab countries have to do with religious aspects rooted in the Islamic tradition. By ignoring these religious aspects, the Disability Convention missed a rich source of wisdom provided by a world religion like Islam. On the other hand, the innovative insights provided by the Disability Convention can be of value to improve contemporary discussions on legal capacity within the Islamic tradition. Unlike the previous studies, which either focused on the approach of the Disability Convention or that of the Islamic tradition, this study examines both approaches and highlights the points of agreement and disagreement and finally proposes suggestions for narrowing the existing gap between these two approaches.Other InformationPublished in: Journal of Disability & ReligionLicense: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/4.0/See article on publisher's website: https://dx.doi.org/10.1080/23312521.2019.1613943</p
Implementation of Khiyar Ta'yin in Online Flash Sale Product Purchase Transactions
The khiyar right that provides specific information related to similar products but different in quality is khiyar ta'yin. In practice, in purchasing flash sale products in the TikTok Shop marketplace, there are comments and testimonial columns contain various consumer experiences related to the products they have previously purchased, in the comments and testimonial columns there are also reviews related to product information both in terms of quality and so on, but many consumers who use testimonials and comments as a reference feel cheated in terms of product quality because it does not match the contents of the information provided in the testimonial reviews and comments on the TikTok Shop marketplace. With the formulation of the problem, namely first, how is the implementation of khiyar ta'yin in online flash sale product purchase transactions on the TikTok Shop marketplace according to the review of muamalah fiqh, second, how do Sharia Faculty students view testimonials and user comments as a reference in finding product information to be purchased. The purpose of the research is to find out the implementation of khiyar ta'yin in online flash sale product purchase transactions on the TikTok Shop marketplace according to muamalah fiqh review, and to find out the views of Sharia Faculty students on testimonials and user comments as a reference in finding product information to be purchased by consumers. This research uses qualitative research with an empirical normative approach, with primary data sources, namely the results of interviews with 20 students of the Faculty of Sharia UIN Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda and secondary data consisting of the book of Fikih Muamalah, Kitab Bulughul Maram, and Kitab tafsir Ibn Kathir, journals, scientific articles, and other scientific works. The data were obtained from observations, interviews, and documentation, then the author analysed the data with descriptive qualitative methods. The results showed that the implementation of khiyar ta'yin in flash sale product purchase transactions on the TikTok Shop marketplace is not fully in accordance with fiqh muamalah because traders and buyers do not know about khiyar ta'yin so that the form of implementation of khiyar ta'yin carried out by sellers and buyers occurs by itself with business ethics to achieve benefits in the form of an element of willingness between traders and . and from the results of the interview there are still several cases of consumers who feel cheated, so from this product description, testimonials and comments there is still an element of gharar in it and can cause mafsadah to other consumers, And from the results of the interviews there are still several cases of consumers who feel cheated, so departing from this product description, testimonials and comments there is still an element of gharar in it and can cause mafsadah to other consumers

Molecular dynamics studies of the interactions of low energy particles and clusters with surfaces
"The interaction of energetic particles and clusters with metal surfaces has been investigated using molecular dynamics computer simulations. For the particle interactions, a previously unknown mechanism for producing damage at surfaces, involving viscous flow of molten matter, was uncovered in atomistic simulations of self bombardment of Au, Cu and Pt. The findings were extended to higher energy irradiations using a macroscopic model derived in this work and shown to have enormous significance for studies of radiation damage and ion beam modifications of materials. The simulations also provide new insight into the question of ""non-linear"" or thermal spike sputtering and also suggest a mechanism for cluster emission. Cluster-solid interactions were investigated by simulating the impact of various metallic clusters on metal surfaces. The energies of the clusters were varied from less than one eV (soft landings) to over 3 keV; the sizes of the clusters were varied from 87 to 1000 atom, and the angles of incidence was varied from near glancing to near normal. Both solid and liquid clusters were examined. A broad range of behavior was observed in the simulations: splatting of the cluster over the surface, the formation of globs, and the penetration of the clusters deep into the substrate. General rules for predicting the dominant behavior are suggested."Embedded atom method potentials were employed in these simulations to represent the different metals and alloys. Although these potentials are well tested near equilibrium conditions, they are unreliable when the potential energies exceeded 10 eV. Pseudopotential methods were employed to construct an accurate force model for atoms at the close separations, although a simple spline connecting EAM potentials at low energies with the Universal potential at high energies was employed in most of the simulations. All of the simulations were three dimensional and fully dynamical.Made available in DSpace on 2011-05-07T12:43:10Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 2
