This paper will analyse rhythm in the poetic works of Gherasim Luca and place the poet within the historical traditions of Surrealism and Phonetic Poetry. It will consider the interpretation of the texts by the author himself as a stylistic feature and the three elements present in his poems: structure, sound and rhythm. We will be paying particular attention to the rhythmic element based on the combination of short and long syllables
"Multiply the short circuits" : the physics of Surrealism in Gherasim Luca's "Passive Vampire" : preliminary remarks
The purpose of this article is to analyse the notion of "the Physical World" in the André Breton essays and manifestoes of Surrealism, and its presence in the Gherasim Luca’s theory of "the Objectively Offered Object". In the first part of the article, the author investigates the interactions between the "Surrealist object" and the "poetic image", linked by the metaphors parallel with the language of Physics. The Surrealist image occures when combining two heterogeneous objects. It is compared to the moment of the short circuit when two "poles" of a machine are joined "with a conductor of little or no resistance". This notion is explored in the second part of the article as a rigorous key to read The Passive Vampire of the Romanian-French Surrealist Gherasim Luca. His theory of "the Objectively Offered Object" masterminds the game of constructing the hybrid items, put together as the effect of the "objective chance". The narrator/subject of The Passive Vampire describes his "obsessional" and "delirious" contact with certain objects "projected by desire". With this concept Luca proves the predominant role of the "Surrealist object" in the works of the Romanian Surrealists
Screening for roncopathy of population from central regions of RM
State Medical and
Pharmaceutical University “Nicolae Testemitanu”, Chisinau, Republic of MoldovaIntroduction: The well known fact is that healthy dream is the necessary component of human
emotional part. The dream’s quality is influenced by the number of reasons, of which the most
important is derangement of passing of air flow threw the narrowed respiratory airways which leads to
the phenomenon called “Roncopathy”. The problem of this phenomenon and the association with it of
sleep apnea remains an actual problem not only at otorhinolaryngology domain, and has a lot of
consequences which influence the everyday life quality, needs the involvement of specialists from almost all domains as: surgeons, sexologists, etc. A small number of scientific researches are dedicated
to this problem, which involves a reduced number of populations and doesn’t reflect the entire
seriousness of this problem. A number of screenings concerning roncopathy have been already done in
EU and USA and special associations were founded. Such organization doesn’t exist in the RM, only
tendency to highlight the seriousness of this problem threw the screening that was performed in 2008 by
Olaru A. and associate professor Gagauz A. That is why we decided to tackle deeper this pathology,
which isn’t seen as a problem; and to observe how well the members of society know themselves threw
screening of population from central regions of RM , performed in period October 2013-February 2014.
Materials and methods: during this screening 2010 persons were questioned, between 17-78
years old. We record a questionnaire with 34 questions, and used centimeter band.
Results: The number of those who snores is continuously decreasing with age. The highest
incidence of roncopathy is between 46-65 years old. The highest incidence of sleep apnea is between
61-65 years old. The oldest man who doesn’t snore is 72 years old. From the totally number of whose
who snore the highest incidence is among drivers. The majority of women snore lying on the back.
Usually people snore in 1 or 3 positions, and rarely in 2. All people who snores 68,97% have increased
BM1. The majority of women and men snore from 6 to 10 years.39,8% from affected people are
smoking, among them 12,19%.42,71 % from those who snores eat a lot before going to bed, among
them women 31,81%. Men more frequently supported cranial trauma(18,44%).83,8% from all patients
with sleep apnea are men. Urban men snore more frequently. The incidence of high blood pressure is
35,92% and is almost the same between male and female.
Conclusion: We investigate the roncopathy as a social problem in RM, with more persons and criteria. The most affected are whose BMI is increased, with otorhinolaryngologycal pathology and male gender

Waking Up the Vampire : Marta Baron-Milian and Piotr Bogalecki talk to Jakub Kornhauser about Gherasim Luca, Romanian Surrealism and Non-fulfillment
The interview by Marta Baron-Milian and Piotr Bogalecki with Jakub Kornhauser, who has been translating Gherasim Luca’s prose works from Romanian and French and popularizing them, aims at locating the bilingual oeuvre of the author of The Passive Vampire within the field of Romanian and French literature and on the map of avant-garde practices, particularly considering the history of surrealism. The problems raised in the interview focus on the workings of history in Luca’s texts, on their political character, and the undertaken interpretations are directed at attempts to capture the oeuvre of this author inter alia through the prism of the marrano figure, economic metaphors and stammer, which is a peculiarity of Luca’s language both in poetry and in prose
Aspecte privind influenţa legislaţiei ţariste asupra statutului nobilimii din Basarabia în prima jumătate a secolului al XIX-lea / Aspects of influence of the tsarist legislation on the status of the Bessarabian nobility in the 1st half of the 19th century
In this article based on the study of archival sources and monographs the author considers some aspects of the influence of the tsarist legislation on the changes in the legal status of the Bessarabian nobility. After the annexation of the territory between the Dniester and the Prut to the Russian Empire, at first the tsarist government maintained the social categories existing in Bessarabia, and the relationships were regulated by the laws and customs of the Principality of Moldavia. Subsequently, Bessarabia was incorporated into the political and socio-economic system of the empire. Thus, the use of the tsarist laws on the territory of the region has led to changes in the status of the Bessarabian nobility. Despite the fact that the Bessarabian nobility had the same rights and have been included in the Russian nobility keeping the former privileges, in reality they, especially the indigenous nobility, were limited in their rights. Chief administrative positions in Bessarabia were given to foreign nobles and officials or those members of the local nobility, who were loyal to the tsarist policy. All this has led to dissociation (due to the introduction of foreign representatives into the ranks of the local gentry) and humiliation (because the nobles had to constantly prove their social status - a rather complicated process due to the lack of supporting documents for those who had the Moldavian noble rank or possessed property) of this social category
Our experience in surgical treatment of chiari type 1 malformations
Introduction: There are four types of Chiari malformations described in the literature. Due to the fact that it is a common finding in the general population (true Chiari being present in 0,75% of the population), Chiari 1 malformation was also called Chiari anomaly.Material and methods: In the last 5 years 17 patients with Chiari I malformation have been treated in our clinic. There were 12 women and 5 men. The mean age was 43 years (between 21 and 60 years). The symptoms were grouped in 6 syndromes: brain stem and bulbar palsy syndrome, cerebellar syndrome, central cord syndrome, paroxysmal intracranial hypertension, scoliosis, pyramidal syndrome.Surgical treatment: According to recent literature patients respond best when operated within 2 years from the onset of symptoms. We recommend early surgery for symptomatic patients. Surgical treatment of Chiari I malformation should accomplish several golds. First of all, there is the obvious need to decompress the lower part of the cerebellum. Chiari I malformation being related to a small posterior fossa, the surgical treatment should realise enlargement of the total volume of the posterior fossa(7, 12). In the author’s opinion the key point in surgical treatment of Chiari 1 malformation should be to reestablish the CSF flow at the level of the foramen of Magendie and foramen magnum. Various approaches were used in the last five years in our clinic for the treatment of symptomatic patients: only osseous decompression in 2 patients; osseus decompression with dural grafting and intradural dissection of adhesions in 4 patients; osseous decompression with dural grafting, intradural dissection, and tonsillar coagulation in 11 patientsResults: The long-term (6 months postoperative) surgery-related result was considered excellent if symptoms resolved (7 patients). The result was considered good if the patient experienced significant improvement but also residual symptoms (8 patients). A poor result indicated no change in symptoms (2 patients). As for the surgical technique used, the vast majority of patients with good or excellent outcome at 6 months underwent osseous decompression with dural grafting, intradural dissection, and tonsillar coagulationConclusions: Regarding Chiari I malformations, the author considers that a proper patient selection is critical to prevent unnecessary procedures and maximize the outcome. In light of this study results and recent literature, the author considers that the surgical gold standard consists in three key steps: posterior fossa craniectomy followed by durotomy and subarachnoid decompression of CSF flow and last duroplasty
Prognostic value of D-dimers in patients with COVID-19: narrative synthesis
Introduction. Contemporary researchers have suggested and demonstrated the hypothesis that the elevated level of D-dimers, which is a valuable marker of coagulation and fibrinolysis activation, can predict the severity of COVID-19, pulmonary complications, and thromboembolic events before they occur.
Material and methods. The bibliographic resources were analyzed and selected from databases such as PubMed, Hinari, SpringerLink, and Google Search using keywords such as “COVID-19,” “SARS-CoV-2,” “coronavirus,” “D-dimers,” “biomarkers,” and “severity prediction,” which were used in various combinations to maximize search efficiency. Therefore, the manuscript contains 51 representative articles for the purpose of this synthesis article.
Results. The D-dimer levels are significantly higher in patients with severe forms of COVID-19 compared to those with non-severe forms, in patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome compared to those without acute respiratory distress syndrome, and in deceased patients compared to those who have survived. D-dimers positively correlate with the degree of severity and the increased risk of progression to severe disease, inversely proportional to the survival rate. They can predict prognosis, determine therapeutic strategies, prevent complications, positively influence the disease’s course, and monitor the prognosis.
Conclusions. D-dimers should be used as a pre-radiographic screening tool as early as possible after admission and as an indicator for risk stratification of venous thromboembolism in hospitalized patients with COVID-19. Based on the increase in D-dimer levels, adjusting therapeutic doses of anticoagulants is more beneficial for patients compared to administering prophylactic doses
Hypotension in spinal anesthesia: predictive factors, prevention and volemia’s non-invasive estimation methods
Introduction. Evaluation of patient volemia arriving at a medical service today still represents a challenge for specialists,
especially in those who need surgical and anesthetic intervention. One of the most common systemic side effect to anesthesia is hypotension. Spinal Anesthesia-Induced Hypotension (SAIH) because of sympathetic blockade is most frequently
cited as a complication of subarachnoid anesthesia, its severity being influenced by the patient’s volemic state. The aim
of this literature review is to analyze if „routine” preanesthetic preloading reduces the incidence of SAIH in patients undergoing spinal anesthesia, also to emphasize the efficacy of preanesthetic assessment of the IVC/Ao (Inferior Vena Cava/
Abdominal Aorta) Index measured by ultrasound in determination of patients’ volemia.
Material and methods. Narrative literature review. Bibliographic search in the PubMed, NCBI and Google Academic databases, using the keywords: „hypotension inferior vena cava”, „hypotension spinal anesthesia”, „inferior vena cava/aorta
diameter”, „preloading hypotension”, which were combined with each other. The final bibliography included 40 references.
Results. The principles of perianesthetic volemia management and prevention of arterial hypotension after the administration of the spinal block were detected in different groups of patients: the elderly, adult patients, anesthesiologic assistance in
obstetrics and in various types of surgical interventions. Hypotension incidence data in patients with and without preanesthetic volume repletion were detected. At the same time, the effectiveness of the ultrasonographic assessment of IVC/Ao index
in assessing patient’s volume status was determined. The information was analyzed and synthesized in the article.
Conclusions. The effectiveness of routine preloading in reducing the incidence of arterial hypotension after spinal anesthesia did not prove its benefits in normovolemic patients, and ultrasonographic assessment of the IVC/Ao Index in assessing the volume status appears to be a simple, rapid, non-invasive, cost-effective volume assessment, which does not require
the presence of a specialized imagist, being practically devoid of contraindications
