Marketing and its narratives
The purpose of this thesis is to look at marketing not only as an activity, art or science; but also from the spectrum of different narratives. The three enumerated narratives are profane, sacred and secular. Each of the enumerated narratives is taken separately and examined. This examination underlines a need to formulate a unified marketing narrative.M.A.L.S.Includes bibliographical referencesby Dariusz S. Malinowsk
Commercialisation of research results – cooperation between science and business
When analysing the term commercialisation one should answer the
crucial question: what mechanisms govern commercialisation of knowledge
and technology as well as which resources and sources determine it. The
article presents a theoretical deliberation concerning the development of
issues related to the commercialisation of research results in the last century.
A review of literature precedes the section on sources for the
commercialisation of knowledge and technologies when considering research
results and technology providers. The author claims that analysis
of technological resources also determines the possibilities for the
cooperation between science and business. It is important for the selection of
the commercialisation strategy to describe technological resources
and their complementarity. Strong technological resources and their market
availability ensures independent technological development. However,
a lack of technological resources or the chance to acquire them encourages
an innovative organisation to pass know-how or technologies to another,
capable organisation which is willing to commercialise this knowledge
on the market. Frequently however when commercialising research results,
organisations establish cooperation on the market in order to build resources
to implement research results. This article, ‘Commercialisation of research
results – cooperation between science and business’, is concluded with
an example depicting the cooperation between scientists and business people
in a new spin-off company set up in order to build technological resources
and the market implementation of a device for measuring the structure of soft
material surfaces.Article has been prepared based on Polish National Scientific Agency

Mass Media as the Key Space for Preaching and Defending Christian Personalism
Since the invention of print, the media have been increasingly influencing individual and social awareness. They seem apt to undo, in a relatively short period of time, whatever good the upbringing and authorities of a high moral standard have instilled into a person. However, the media can also support the development of this good in a significant way. They are a powerful tool that everyone has to reckon with, they are a place to exchange all sorts of ideas – from the worst to the best. That is the reason why anyone who wants to proclaim the principle of Christian personalism in society should try to think through how to wisely use them to spread the message. However, this message will inevitably meet with strong opposition from people who have opposite beliefs and from the media they own, as they have made them a fundamental place for the struggle for power and dominion over human consciousness. This article, written on the basis of theoretical considerations, but also the rich media experience of the author, attempts to provide practical advice on these matters. The article explains the common structure of all such opposition that follows the pattern of the very loud media case of Fr. Krzysztof Charamsa (in which the author was himself deeply entangled), Tygodnik Powszechny and Gazeta Wyborcza which supported him. In this way, the article shows the mechanisms of manipulation of contemporary media, but also the remedies available

Die Katastrophe der deutschen Kirche als höchste Alarmstufe für die gesamte Weltkirche
Cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Müller, the closest associate of Pope Benedict XVI, theologically as if his Alter-Ego, is certainly one of the best experts in the Catholic Church in Germany. And it is he who compares the present condition of this Church to the catastrophe of such a huge and luxurious Titanic, which, however, is slowly sinking, because those responsible turned out to be reckless and did not predict the worst. Indeed, so far the application of almost all criteria that apply to the evaluation of a religious community has shown that, in fact, since the Second Vatican Council, this Church has been losing its vitality and shrinking. However, the so-called Synodal Way has deteriorated even more dramatically in recent times. Its agenda includes goals and demands that are contrary to both Revelation and the Tradition of the Church, and that are contrary to common sense. These are the goals and demands that have been made by even extreme left and atheistic ideologues and politicians, and which are now to move to the center and foundations of church teaching.
It seems that just as almost all English bishops in the 16th century succumbed to the state violence of King Henry VIII and betrayed Christ and the Church, today the vast majority of German clergymen succumb to ideological violence in the area of culture and the state and thus betray their own faith and betray Church and Christ. It seems that many of them are close to the ideas of Georg Wilhelm Hegel, who considered himself wiser and greater than all, also than Christ, and the thought of Friedrich Nietzsche, who wanted to replace the crucified Messiah with Dionysus – a patron of, among other things, debauchery. It seems that many of the faithful and clergy in Germany also want to carry out a sexual revolution in the Church as if the second Reformation, perhaps even more catastrophic than the first. It seems that they are putting gender theory in place of Revelation and Christianity. And gender is, in fact, another neo-Marxist pansexual ideology which elevates eroticism as if it were the most important value, more important especially than God and one’s own salvation.
One has to ask, how could such a great spiritual catastrophe of a Church that was once so numerous, so strong, so faithful and creative? We must ask what to do so that no more Church would destroy itself so that such a spiritual disease would not spread to other Churches. This article tries to answer these fundamental questions. It does so by analyzing the cultural, historical, national, economic, spiritual and religious conditions of German society that led to such an advanced process of self-destruction of the Church
Effect of North Atlantic Oscillation on the hydrological conditions of Lake Morskie Oko (Carphatian Mountains)
The paper presents the effect of North Atlantic Oscillation of macroscale atmospheric circulation (NAO) on the hydrological conditions of Lake Morskie Oko located at an altitude of 1392.8 m a.s.l. in the highest range of the Carpathians. The paper applied detailed hydrometric information from the years 1971-2010 concerning water level fluctuations, water temperature, terms of the commencement and end of ice phenomena and ice cover, as well as meteorological data concerning air temperature and atmospheric precipitation, and monthly and seasonal NAO indices. The performed analysis suggests that the majority of analysed hydrological characteristics of Lake Morskie Oko was not prone to variability of NAO intensity in its various phases. The situation results from the local conditions, particularly responsible for the course of processes and phenomena in Lake Morskie Oko, simultaneously obscuring the effect of macroscale factor
Problem zwierząt. Jak traktujemy i jak postrzegamy zwierzęta?
The article presents the reflections on the Animal Question, considered in various aspects: philosophical, ethical, economical and cultural. Author brings up the problem of language, that humans use speaking about animals, which is clearly involved into structure of power. One of the most striking problems is variety and diversification of beings that word ‘Animal’ apply to, which enhance anthropocentric opposition between human and non-human animals. Being aware that language is actually a conceptualization of animality, Dariusz Gzyra reveals how our everyday reality involves problem of animals especially when it comes to social institutions. One of the main thesis is the one that shows connection between discourse (the way we perceive animals) and social practice (the way we treat them). That is why objectification (animal as a peace of meat) or infantilisation (conceptualization of animality in cartoons) are deeply connected with animal farms, industry of pets or animal spectacles like circus. In this article Dariusz Gzyra deals with different aspects of speciesism. Through references to Rosi Braidotti’s, Donna Haraway’s and Monika Bakke’s works author of these thesis shows inner complicity of speciesism, which infects deeply on human perception of animals, environment and ourselves. The article presents the reflections on the Animal Question, considered in various aspects: philosophical, ethical, economical and cultural. BOLESŁAW LEŚMIAN’S LOST DRAMA VASILIJ BUSLAEV: MORE THAN JUST A BIBLIOGRAPHICAL PROBLEM
The complex and mysterious story of Bolesław Leśmian’s drama Vasilij Buslaev has led some scholars to doubt the very existence of the piece. The correspondence of Maksim Gor’kij may help to solve the mystery. The authoritative Russian writer acted as a reviewer when the decision to accept or reject this play for print was to be taken. Once Gor’kij had read the manuscript, the piece was returned to the author, who was informed that it would not be published. Unfortunately, its fate thereafter remains unknown
