A critical assessment of the theology of Camilo Torres in the light of Latin American theology : a theological paradigm for peace with justice for Colombia
No full textThe thesis aims to provide a critical assessment of Camilo Torres’ concept of efficacious love in the light of a hermeneutics and ethics of liberation, to contribute theoretically to theological reflection upon the mission of the Protestant and Roman Catholic churches in Colombia, and generally in Latin America. It proposes the thesis that the theology of Camilo Torres, viewed from the perspective of a hermeneutics and an ethics of liberation, can be foundational for seeking, constructing, and sustaining peace with justice in a context of oppression and violence.
Based on the theological analysis, the academic and spiritual motivation should respond to two fundamental questions in our academic inquiry: what foundation exists in Camilo Torres’ theology for the construction of a just, peaceful, liberative society and to enable proximity to the excluded, victimized, and poor population in Colombia to be achieved? And how can we as Christians respond to the grace of God in living efficaciously the values of the Kingdom of God, in order to bring structural changes in Colombia? The implications of the answers to those questions would result in the possibility to execute an integrating theological proposal for peace with justice for the church in Colombia.
In an interpretative mode, we consider critically the multidisciplinary interaction of some of the theological foundations of liberation theology. Our task consists in clarifying and constructing theological presuppositions for a dialectical examination of the historical and current situation in Colombia, viewed in the light of the internal problems and realities. Thus, it is our intention in order to attempt a significant interdisciplinary juncture, to examine and interpret such relevant concepts as efficacious love, faith with works, kenosis, hypostatic union, hermeneutics and ethics of liberation, social justice, personal and collective socio-political conversion, and a praxis of faith as the church’s mission in response to the Colombian context of poverty and violence

A través de una pluma crítica, el autor, Camilo Pardo Umaña, nos pinta un retrato detallado de este hombre de negocios, describiéndolo como un astuto y ambicioso personaje que supo aprovechar las oportunidades de su época para amasar una gran fortuna. Narra cómo Landínez, junto a su socio José María Plata, crea una especie de bolsa de valores llamada "La Ballena". Esta entidad financiera permitía a los inversores dejar su dinero a cambio de pagarés respaldados por las firmas de ambos socios. Sin embargo, esta actividad pronto se convierte en un foco de especulación y riesgo.

Through a critical pen, the author, Camilo Pardo Umaña, paints a detailed portrait of this businessman, describing him as an astute and ambitious character who knew how to take advantage of the opportunities of his time to amass a great fortune. It tells how Landínez, together with his partner José María Plata, creates a kind of stock exchange called "La Ballena". This financial institution allowed investors to leave their money in exchange for promissory notes backed by the signatures of both partners. The Instability and Inequities of the Global Reserve System
Get PDFThis paper argues that the current global reserve system is inherently unstable due to the use of a national currency as the major international reserve currency, and the high demand for “self-insurance” by developing countries. The latter is due to the mix of highly pro-cyclical capital flows and the limited room to maneuver that developing countries have to manage counter-cyclical macroeconomic policies. Both features imply that the system is also inequitable. An important insight of the paper is that such inequities feed into the instability of current arrangements. No full textEn este documento se exponen varias herramientas de análisis que buscan vincular la experiencia práctica y la percepción tímbrica, con el objetivo de generar una propuesta de interpretación para dos obras de música académica contemporánea con el formato de guitarra y medios electrónicos: Calíope (canto de las abejas) del compositor colombiano Juan Camilo Vásquez e Improvisación II del compositor mexicano Gonzalo Macías. En cada una de las obras se plantean análisis diferentes, los cuales permiten una relación circular de aspectos técnicos, teóricos y contextuales que, a la vez, interactúan con las descripciones de las características y los comportamientos sonoros internos de los instrumentos en ambas obras. La aproximación perceptiva por capas en el análisis permite abordar de forma consciente el montaje de las obras para su interpretación en vivo.This work presents some analytical tools that seek to link practical experience and timbral perception, with the aim of generating an interpretation proposal for two pieces of contemporary academic music with the guitar and electronic media format: Caliope (canto de las abejas) by Colombian composer Juan Camilo Vásquez and Improvisación II by Mexican composer Gonzalo Macías. In each of the works, different analyses are proposed, which allow a circular relationship of technical, theoretical and contextual aspects that, at the same time, interact with the descriptions of the characteristics and internal sonorous behaviors of the instruments in both pieces. The layered perceptual approach in the analysis allows for a conscious approach to the assembly of the works for live performance

Get PDFEn este artículo se informa de los problemas que Camilo José Cela tuvo con la censura franquista cuando se editó en 1969 su novela San Camilo, 1936, que tiene como tema el comienzo de la guerra civil española en Madrid. El cese en 1969 de su amigo Manuel Fraga Iribarne como ministro de Franco significó el fin de su posición privilegiada como escritor en la España de los años 60. La reacción contra Cela por parte de los elementos más retrógrados del Régimen, enemigos del ex ministro, no se hizo esperar. No full textLa sequía es un evento climático extremo de la naturaleza, que ha aumentado gradualmente en su duración, frecuencia e intensidad debido al cambio climático. Debido a esto, los estudios de la sequía han incrementado en los últimos años con el fin de caracterizar, comprender, mitigar y reducir los impactos negativos. En este estudio se estimaron diferentes métodos de evapotranspiración potencial: FAO-PM56 (FAO PENMAN MONTEITH), Hargreaves, Turc, Thornthwaite y Cenicafé, los cuales fueron evaluados mediante métricas de desempeño de validación: coeficiente correlación de Pearson, BIAS, NSE (ecuación Nash-Sutcliffe), RMSE (error cuadrático medio) y estadístico t, para determinar el método más ajustado al sugerido por la FAO (FAO-PM56) el cual fue Hargreaves. Posteriormente, para la estimación del método de Hargreaves y de FAO-PM56, se compararon dos modelos, regresión lineal múltiple y redes neuronales artificiales, donde también se aplicaron métricas de desempeño de validación (R2 , BIAS, NSE, RMSE y coeficiente de correlación de Pearson). Finalmente se realizo la estimación del índice de sequía SPEI y SPI, y se correlacionaron ambos índices interpolaron los resultados utilizando kriging para determinar las zonas más secas del departamento de Nariño.PregradoINGENIERO(A) SANITARIA Y AMBIENTA

No full textPara la realización de este trabajo de grado compusimos una obra para bandola andina, guitarra acústica, medio fijo y pedales multiefectos titulada Aqua Vitalis, con el fin de hacer una exploración de las sonoridades que pueden producir estos instrumentos, con elementos tecnológicos como los pedales, secuencias y también con paisaje sonoro. Se realiza un trabajo de campo en el cual se graba el cuerpo acuático de la Laguna de Los Colorados en el municipio de Sibaté. La sonoridad de esta obra se genera desde el timbre de los propios instrumentos, los pedales multiefectos aplicados a estos y de su interacción con el paisaje sonoro. Decidimos que el dialogo entre los elementos descritos anteriormente: paisaje sonoro, instrumentos y pedales multiefectos, fuera libre y que pudiera acoplarse y moldearse con cada avance y descubrimiento que se realizara en el curso de la exploración, y de paso, desde allí también hacer honor a esa característica propia del agua: la de tomar cualquier forma, aquella del recipiente que la contenga. Queremos dedicar la obra Aqua Vitalis al agua misma, a sus formas, a su fuerza, a su vitalidad, a su maleabilidad, a lo flexible e infinito de su esencia.For this degree project, a work was composed for Andean bandola, acoustic guitar, fixed media, and live electronics, titled Aqua Vitalis. The purpose was to explore the sound qualities that these instruments can produce, incorporating technological elements such as multi-effects pedals, sequences, and soundscapes. Fieldwork was conducted to record the aquatic body of the Laguna de Colorados in the municipality of Sibaté. The sound of this work is generated from the timbre of the instruments themselves, the multi-effects pedals applied to them, and their interaction with the soundscape. We decided that the dialogue among the previously described elements should be free and adaptable, molding itself with each advancement and discovery made during the exploration. In doing so, we also honor a characteristic of water: its ability to take any form, that of the vessel containing it. We want to dedicate the work Aqua Vitalis to water itself, to its shapes, its strength, its vitality, its malleability, and to the flexible and infinite essence of it
