Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Indonesia in the South China Sea Dispute: Humble-Hard Power
No full textThis research discussed the opportunities for Indonesia to act as humble-hard power in South China Sea dispute. Permanent Court of Arbitration’s decision in July 2016 to give South China Sea based on UNCLOS’s regulation has provoked China’s objection. This research question is on how to understand the conception of humble-hard power and the possibility for Indonesia to be humble-hard power in the South China Sea dispute? This article borrowed the concept of humble-hard power from Adam Nieves Johnson. This research shows two findings. First, the recent victory of the Philippines’ case in the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) should be opportunities for Indonesia to play his role as humble-hard power. Secondly, following the announcement of the ruling, there were already signs that the Chinese government was looking for more detailed the implementation of humble-hard power with Indonesia. </jats:p

Military Skill And Training In Soldier’s Bravery
No full textThe Malaysian Armed Forces is responsible for producing hundreds of thousands of trained military personnel. This is because the Malaysian Armed Forces has carried out various military exercises to expose the role of its personnel and provide awareness of the importance of military service in the context of national defense and security. Bravery is a leading to matters related to a mentally and physically strong fighting spirit despite facing high risks. Then, bravery is one of the most important qualities that should have among the soldier personnel. The need to manage training efficiently and effectively is a challenge that needs to be managed and addressed properly, systematically and systematically. Technological advances that are constantly changing with the current circulation require a system of training that is effective enough to help the Government produce personnel that are feared by the enemy. The objective of this study is to determine the relationship of the military skill and military training with the soldier bravery among Malaysian Armed Forces in IJED, Port Dickson, KDSI, Lumut Perak and KTU, Alor Setar Kedah. Quantitative research methods of the correlational research design were conducted using questionnaires with 249 respondents from the Malaysian Armed Forces using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences 25.0 and Smart PLS 3.3.2. The results showed that there is a relationship between the military skill and military training with the soldier bravery. The findings confirmed that military skill and military training does act as an important determinant in the relationship of soldier’s bravery. The organization should define military skill and military training for training programs and specify components or outcomes to target in order to better understand soldier’s bravery. This study confirmed that the ability of commanding officers to conduct training appropriately military mind elements military skill and military training has increased their soldier’s bravery in operations

This research question is on How to understand the crisis of international law in the international political economy using English School Theory in the case of South China Sea dispute?To answer the research question, this research is using English School Theory (ES) with its two pillars namely pluralism and solidarism. This research shows two findings. First, the PCA decision has been used by the Philippines to be bargaining tool to obtain economic cooperation and appeased the failure of PCA ruling. Secondly, the PCA decision has provided momentum for China to transform their policy related to the South China Sea disputewith its role as the great power.Thirdly, the structure of international law as the primary institution would be consists of great power politics, ASEAN and economic diplomacy
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
