    No full text
Л. Р. The article of O. Lutsenko, V. Tsokota “The characteristics of lifestyle and attitudes to motherhood of surrogate mothers in Ukraine” is aimed to study surrogate mothers’ attitudes to pregnancy and surrogate motherhood. The objectives of the study were to identify the characteristics of their social situation, lifestyle, volitional, moral, emotional and motivational qualities that can partially determine the decision to become a surrogate mother. 28 women included in the program of surrogate motherhood and three comparison groups of 20 people (the women without children, with 1-2 children and with many children) were interviewed using a semi-structured authors’ interview of the 25 questions. It was found that the prospective surrogate mothers differ from comparison groups by less education, more frequent absence of husband or divorce in the family situation, not entirely satisfactory living conditions, lack of material support. They are less vulnerable, are not prone to long-term negative emotional states, have fewer fears associated with pregnancy and childbirth, and are much more positive about the surrogacy

Statistical testing of blockchain hash algorithms

    No full text
Various methods are used for statistical testing of cryptographic algorithms, for example, NIST STS (A Statistical Test Suite for the Validation of Random Number Generators and Pseudo Random Number Generators for Cryptographic Applications) and DIEHARD (Diehard Battery of Tests of Randomness). Tests consists of verification the hypothesis of randomness for sequences generated at the output of a cryptographic algorithm (for example, a keys generator, encryption algorithms, a hash function, etc.). In this paper, we use the NIST STS technique and study the statistical properties of the most common hashing functions that are used or can be used in modern blockchain networks. In particular, hashing algorithms are considered which specified in national and international standards, as well as little-known hash functions that were developed for limited use in specific applications. Thus, in this paper, we consider the most common hash functions used in more than 90% of blockchain networks. The research results are given as average by testing data of 100 sequences of 108 bytes long, which means that is, the size of the statistical sample for each algorithm was 1010 bytes. Moreover, each test (for each of the 100 sequences) was considered as an independent observation. In addition, the article presents statistical portraits for each algorithm under study (diagrams of the numbers of passing each test)

Lutsenko: ORCID 0000‐0001‐6406‐2364ENG: The article examines the potential and opportunities for the development of innovative power supply systems in the conditions of Ukraine. The peculiarities and prospects of the use of electric vehicles in electric networks as consumers-regulators are analyzed, the feasibility of implementing the Vehicle-to-Grid technology is substantiated. Templates for the introduction of decentralized sources of electric energy based on electric vehicles, provided that bidirectional charging stations are used, are proposed. It is shown that rational integration of electric vehicles in power grids allows decreasing existing level of active load that affords to increase the efficiency of power equipment use. The main obstacle to Vehicle-to-Grid technology use is the lack of regulatory documentation and approved legislative acts. In conclusion, noted the main problems and requirements for the creation of effective decentralized energy supply systems in Ukraine based on electric vehicles.UKR: National Technical University “Dnipro Polytechnik

Classification of quasigroups according to directions of translations I

    No full text
summary:It is proved that every translation in a quasigroup has two independent parameters. One of them is a bijection of the carrier set. The second parameter is called a direction here. Properties of directions in a quasigroup are considered in the first part of the work. In particular, totally symmetric, semisymmetric, commutative, left and right symmetric and also asymmetric quasigroups are characterized within these concepts. The sets of translations of the same direction are under consideration in the second part of the work. Coincidence of these sets defines nine varieties, among them are varieties of LIPLIP, RIPRIP, MIPMIP and CIPCIP quasigroups. Quasigroups in other five varieties also have some invertibility properties

Corruption of the Politicized University: Lessons from the Orange Revolution in Ukraine

    No full text
This paper argues that corruption is used on a systematic basis as a mechanism of direct and indirect administrative control from the state level down to local authorities and administrations of public and private institutions. Informal approval of corrupt activities in exchange for loyalty and compliance with the regime is commonplace in many countries. This paper explains how corrupt regimes maximize their position in terms of loyalty and compliance by using the example of the 2004 presidential elections in Ukraine. It presents mechanisms by which political bureaucracies politicize universities in order to influence students and channel their electoral power during the Orange Revolution in Ukraine.corruption, elections, politicization, students, university, Ukraine

DOI 10.12775/EQ.2022.021. Among the many environmental problems of the modern world one of the important ones is noise pollution. Currently, noise pollution from vehicles requires special attention in densely populated and industrial cities, as there is a trend towards an increase in the areas of acoustic discomfort in built-up areas. The noise that occurs on the roadway of the highway extends not only to the territory near the highway, but also deep into the housing development. Study' objective was to assess noise pollution from vehicles in the most densely populated area of Poltava (Ukraine), as well as to establish the possibility of influencing the situation through legal mechanisms to have an understanding of further research directions and ways to achieve a comfortable urban environment in Ukraine. The noise levels from traffic flows were measured in accordance with GOST 20444-2014, using the Testo 815. To determine the equivalent noise level from the traffic flows movement, an empirical dependence was applied in accordance with the methodology of the State Agency for Highways of Ukraine. Determined that the daytime threshold values are exceeded by 20–28.9 dB(A), which is not acceptable. The reasons for the increase in noise are the road bumps, a significant number of cars and number of stops and streets junctions, the movement of vehicles at a non-constant speed, lack of roadside landscaping. About 62,550 people live in areas where the noise level exceeds the permissible value for the area near residential buildings. The calculation method used turned out to be more accurate than the measured results and showed a significant effect of traffic intensity on noise pollution. Apparently, the low measurement accuracy is justified by outdated road noise measurement standards, which, in turn, need to be seriously revised. Reducing noise levels by optimizing traffic flows is one of the priority areas in which it is necessary to bring the environmental legislation of Ukraine. Ukrainian legislation still needs to undergo many changes to reach a level where it can be used as a control lever to achieve a safe ecological environmentСтатья освещвет результаты исследования шумового загрязнения от автотранспорта в наиболее густонаселенном районе Полтавы (Украина), а также рассматриваются возможности воздействия на ситуацию через правовые механизмы для понимания дальнейших направлений исследований и путей достижения комфортной городской среды в Украине.

Flexibility problems of the labor market

В., 2018. – С. 191–193.The flexibility of the labor market is one of the main problems of labor market theory and policy. Apparently, this is a simple and understandable concept, but in the literature economic benefits are widely recognized. As a rule, they can be understood as the ease of adaptation of labor market participants to changing external and internal conditions. Workers in a flexible labor market easily find new jobs, and employers slow down the work of unnecessary employees, fire them or take a new ones. The opposite side of a flexible market is a tough market, in which conditions the work changes are very complex.Based on the considerations and results of published empirical studies in the economic literature, it can be concluded that in today's economy there is a decline in the importance of trade unions and collective labor law in order to increase the importance of individual law. This indicates an increase in the scale of deregulation of labor markets. Of course, this process is very diverse, depending on the degree of integration of the market into the world market, local conditions and economic traditions
