Coherent photoproduction in peripheral heavy-ion collisions
No full textInternational audienceIn 2015, the ALICE Collaboration reported the first measurement of an excess in the yield of at very low transverse momentum () in the forward rapidity region () in peripheral lead-lead (Pb-Pb) collisions at at the CERN LHC. The coherent photoproduction was proposed as the potential underlying physics mechanism. This is known to be the main production mechanism for low- production in ultra-peripheral collisions, which are dominated by electromagnetic interactions. However, the observation of a large effect in more central collisions that are dominated by the hadronic interactions was quite surprising. This article represents a proceeding contribution on the preliminary results from PbPb collisions at shown in a poster during the National Congress of the French Physical Society in July 2019

No full textApós uma contextualização histórica a respeito da Justiça Juvenil no Brasil, este estudo busca colocar em evidência os perfi s sociodemográfi cos e as trajetórias dos jovens alvos de medidas socioeducativas. Primeiramente, é preciso expor e discutir o procedimento judiciário tal como é pensado pela lei, por um lado, e, por outro, como é posto em prática pelos magistrados. Depois, tentar esclarecer três temáticas importantes: as tensões entre controle e promoção da autonomia, o fl uxo constitutivo da duração das medidas socioeducativas no Brasil, e a gestão da violência endêmica no Brasil pelas instituições encarregadas dos jovens delinquentes.After describing the background of the Juvenile Courts in Brazil, Diff erent perspectives on the institutional care of juvenile delinquents in Brazil aims to demonstrate the sociodemographic profi les and lives led by youths subjected to social education measures. Firstly, the judicial procedure as prescribed by law must be exposed and discussed, and compared to how it is put into practice by the judges. Then, three important aspects are examined: the tensions between control and promoting autonomy, the fl ow of social education measures in Brazil, and the management of endemic violence in Brazil by the institutions responsible for juvenile delinquents
