    ABSTRAK Nurul Azimah, (2019) : Efektifitas Penggunaan Metode Guru Diam Dengan Menggunakan Gambar Berilham Untuk Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berbicara Santri Kelas VIII Ponpes Darel Hikmah Pekanbaru Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan metode guru diam dengan menggunakan gambar berilham untuk meningkatkan keterampilan santri kelas VIII ponpes darel hikmah pekanbaru, dengan melihat ada tidaknya peningkatan kemampuan siswa berbicara baik dikelas eksperiman maupun dikelas kontrol. Penelitian ini dimulai dari merancang langkah pembelajaran, pelaksanaan, observasi, kemudian test. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII madrasa tsanawiyah Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru tahun ajaran 2019/2020, dengan sampel siswa kelas VIII B1 dan VIII B2 Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII B1 dan VIII B4 Madrasah Tsanawiyah Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru dan objek penelitian adalah efektivitas penggunaan metode guru diam dengan menggunakan gambar berilham untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari observasi dan tes. Dari analisis data yang diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode guru diam dengan menggunakan metode gambar berilham efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara santri kelas VIII Ponpes Darel Hikmah Pekanbaru. karena dengan dk = 52 pada taraf signifikan 5% di peroleh t_tabel sebesar 2,01. Dengan t_hitung sebesar 3,41 berarti lebih besar dari ttabel yaitu 3,41 ˂ 2,01, ini berarti bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. kata lain penggunaan metode guru diam dengan menggunakan permainan gambar berilham efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara santri kelas VIII Ponpes Darel Hikmah Pekanbaru.     Ambidentate salicylaldimines N-(3-aminopropyl) morpholine: coordination behaviour towards copper, nickel and zinc divalent ions and biological applications / Nurul Azimah binti Ikmal Hisham

    Two flexidentate Schiff-base ligands condensed from salicylaldehyde or 5-chlorosalicylaldehyde with N-(3-aminopropyl)morpholine were prepared in situ and reacted with zinc(II), copper(II) and nickel(II) salts. These compounds were characterised by elemental analyses and various physico-chemical techniques. Single crystal X-ray analyses were carried out on nine different complexes. Upon complexation, the Schiff bases underwent deprotonation at the hydroxyl to act as mono-anionic ligands. When a ligand:metal ratio of 2:1 was applied, the deprotonated Schiff bases coordinated metal ions through phenolate and imine groups in a square-planar or tetrahedral geometry. In contrast, 5-chlorosalicylaldimine reacted with the metal ions in a 1:1 ratio to form complexes wherein morpholine nitrogen also participates in an N,N,O-tridentate coordination mode. The structures of the complexes were characterized by spectroscopic methods and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The Schiff bases and their metal complexes were evaluated for cytotoxic and antioxidant activity. Cytotoxic screening was carried out against human breast cancer cells with positive estrogen receptor (MCF-7), human breast cancer cells with negative estrogen receptor (MDA-MB-231), and colon cancer cell line (HT-29). This cytotoxicity also was tested on two normal cells, normal liver cells (WRL-68) and normal colon cell lines (CCD-841). The Schiff bases L1H, was found to be very active against breast cancer with positive estrogen receptor cells and also colon cancer cells with the lowest IC50 values. Antioxidant screening was carried out by using ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) assay. All compounds were found to have low activity except for L1H ligand with FRAP value higher than the standard BTH and Trolox

    Cytoxicity of TiO2 nanoparticles and effect of incorporation of nanoTiO2-PEDOT: PSS composite in PVAc coating on anticorrosive performance

    Titanium dioxide, TiO2 has commonly been used as additives in anticorrosion coating. However, coating production involving nano-sized metal oxide has been a concern since it can potentially be transmitted into the human body through inhalation or contact with skin. Therefore, the cytotoxicity of the TiO2 nanoparticles was studied via assay of fibroblast cells viability. The anticorrosive performance of nanotitanium dioxide-poly (3, 4-ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate (nanoTiO2-PEDOT:PSS) composite as additives in PVAc matrix was also studied via potentiodynamic polarization (PP) by varying the weight percentage (wt.%) of additives from 1-5 wt.%. From this work, after 24 and 48 hours of exposure, TiO2 induced only 40% cell death (40% inhibition), indicating low cytotoxicity. For anticorrosive performance, 2 wt.% of nanoTiO2-PEDOT:PSS composite content displayed the best corrosion protection as Icorr , Ecorr and corrosion rate is the lowest with 0.067 ?A/cm20.0751 Vand 0.0008 mm/yrrespectively. Thus, TiO2 is safe to human cell and its incorporation with PEDOT:PSS is able to protect metals from corrosion

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods

    We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
