Get PDFPUSAT Penyelidikan Pertanian Tun Razak (PPPTR) or Tun Razak Agricultural Research Centre is located bordering Jerantut and Jengka, Pahang. This research centre was officially launched by Malaysia's second Prime Minister, Y.A.B. Tun Abdul Razak Hussein on 3rd February 1972. The total area here is about 2,400 hectares and consists of oil palm plantation, nursery, office buildings, residential area, resort, golf course and amenities, such as clinic, schools and petrol station in a modified agricultural landscape. PPPTR possess a green environment with combination of economy, social and governance activities taking place in a sustainable manner. Numerous sustainable programmes are conducted at PPPTR involving research and deve.lopment (R&D), economy, ecosystem management, biodiversity and community. Various R&D activities are conducted such as oil palm breeding and tissue culture, pest and disease management, agronomy, strategic crops, precision agriculture and mechanisation. PPPTR contributes in producing premium oil palm planting materials, crop protection management and other agricultural products and services in Malaysia making FGV as the industry leader in oil palm plantation. FGV produces Yangambi ML161, the award winning planting material that commands approximately 40% of Malaysian market. Religiosity and Career Commitment on Work Performance Among Teachers
Get PDFThis study examines the positive relationship between religiosity, work commitment, and work performance among teachers and academic staff at the Islamic Education Foundation. The results indicate that religiosity and commitment to work reinforce each other, leading to better work outcomes. With religiosity and career commitment contributing significantly to work performance (R² = 0.498), teachers with high levels of these attributes are more likely to improve their performance. Educational institutions are advised to integrate religious values into professional development programs through workshops, training, and seminars to enhance teacher performance. Using a quantitative research approach, this study collected data via questionnaires from 94 active teachers and academic staff, comprising 24 men and 70 women, residing in Muara Enim. Data analysis involved multiple linear regression and snowball sampling techniques. The study highlights the importance of religiosity in work performance, suggesting that fostering religious awareness and career commitment can significantly enhance staff performance. These findings underscore the need for professional development programs that emphasize religious values in the workplace, benefiting both individuals and organization
THE EFFECT OF MUSIC BACKGROUND AND TEXT COMPLEXITY ON READING COMPREHENSION
Get PDFThe present study determined the effect of music background and text complexity on reading comprehension. Forty undergraduate students were recruited to participate in the present research, and they were assigned to one of the four background music groups which were fast and instrumental, slow and instrumental, fast and lyrical, and slow and lyrical music. Further, in
each group, half of the participants were asked to perform the reading comprehension task with the presence of text complexity and the other half were performing the reading comprehension task with the absence of text complexity. Results of the Mann – Whitney and Kruskal Wallis statistical tests showed that, there were no significant differences in terms of reading comprehension both across different music backgrounds and conditions of text complexity. However, the mean score from the Mann Whitney statistical test displayed that reading
comprehension performance is slightly better with the absence of text complexity. Meanwhile, slow and instrumental background music showed a little benefit towards the participants while performing the reading comprehension task by gaining the highest mean score in the Kruskal Wallis statistical test

MobiBike is an application that use smart phone device that works as a medium of turning on and turning off the signal lamp, view the bike's speed and distance traveled by user. This application is being developed in order to maximize the sense of security among cyclist, to pay more attention to the rights of cyclist and to add more facilities and equipment for cyclists. In future, this application is expected to be expanded and fully utilized by cyclists especially. The study use Extreme Programming method
because it focuses on customer satisfaction where the developers are capable on responding to frequent changes on user requirement and easy to fix any issues for each version. Finally, the application is tested and the result confirms that the proposed system is capable to comply with the research objectives
Internal Locus of Control and Academic Self-Efficacy Influence on Academic Adjustment among College Students
No full textAcademic adjustment is a critical experience for university students in an educational setting. Students' ability to adjust with academic pressures will determine their level of success in reaching educational goals and academic development. As a result, it is critical to comprehend the psychological aspects that can influence a student's academic adjustment. This study examined the influence of internal locus of control and academic self-efficacy on academic adjustment among students at the Faculty of Psychology UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. This study involved (n=228) students selected using simple random sampling. The data was analyzed with IBM SPSS version 26 and Mplus version 7. Internal locus of control and academic self-efficacy significantly contribute to academic adjustment (R2 = 0.975). The increase in one point on internal locus of control and academic self-efficacy will impact academic adjustment. To improve students' academic adjustment, universities, especially academic departments, should focus on student locus of control and academic self-efficacy. They can approach learning problems better equipped and achieve their academic goals if they improve their internal locus of control and academic self-efficacy
iProcure or Shariah Compliant Procurement Framework for Wakaf and Zakat Funded Buildings and Infrastructure Works
No full textThe paper reports on a study to develop a proposed Shariah compliant construction procurement framework or hereinafter referred to as iProcure. The idea for the study was prompted when it was realized that there is a dichotomy in the way in which construction related business transactions are being conducted. On the one hand, tools for and the use of Shariah compliant business transactions are on the rise but on the other hand business transactions concerning the procurement of buildings and infrastructure works, including those funded by Shariah compliant funding mechanisms and wakaf and zakat, still use the conventional/western styled contract arrangement. There is a concern that the latter may not be meeting the requirements of Shariah. Therefore, parties involved therein could be conducting business transactions that may be considered syubhah. Methodology used for the study involved reviewing literature on Islamic principles on business transactions or al-muamalat and imbedding them into the conventional and western styled contract arrangement. The symbiosis of these two practices give birth to a theoretical Shariah compliant procurement framework for building and infrastructure works. Thereafter, a series of focused discussion with academics specializing in the Shariah and construction procurement was conducted to firm-up the framework. The outcome of the study is a proposed Sharia compliant construction procurement framework or iProcure. The study’s findings is significant in two ways: firstly it highlights the importance of the concept of Shariah compliant construction procurement and therefore improves the prospect of its application in future transactions. Secondly the application of Shariah compliance principles into the practice of construction procurement would facilitate minimizing or alleviating the presence of syubhah in future construction related business transactions. iProcure is targeted towards key players of the construction sector and policy makers in their future construction related business transactions or policies’ formulation respectively especially those works related to or funded by wakaf and zakat
