A multi-site variational master equation approach to dissipative energy transfer
Unitary transformations can allow one to study open quantum systems in situations for which standard, weak-coupling type approximations are not valid. We develop here an extension of the variational (polaron) transformation approach to open system dynamics, which applies to arbitrarily large exciton transport networks with local environments. After deriving a time-local master equation in the transformed frame, we go on to compare the population dynamics predicted using our technique with other established master equations. The variational frame dynamics are found to agree with both weak coupling and full polaron master equations in their respective regions of validity. In parameter regimes considered difficult for these methods, the dynamics predicted by our technique are found to interpolate between the two. The variational method thus gives insight, across a broad range of parameters, into the competition between coherent and incoherent processes in determining the dynamical behaviour of energy transfer networks.Peer reviewe

Encroachment of Waterspread Area of Tanks in Karnataka: Magnitude, Causes and Consequences
Traditional water bodies called tanks were built mainly for catering to the irrigation and drinking needs of the village communities. Until 1950-51, they played a significant role in helping the rural economies. Over the years, they have lost their significance due to a variety of reasons. Although many factors have contributed to the dysfunctional conditions of the tanks, the encroachments upon foreshore/waterspread area have played a major role in making the tanks non-viable. This paper focuses on this issue covering aspects like extent of encroachment, encroacher’s background, reasons for encroachment, consequences of encroachment and remedial measures for the eviction and prevention of encroachments. The primary data collected from the encroachers in respect of 47 tanks spread over in 11 districts, 8 Agro Climatic Zones and 17 taluks of the state of Karnataka have been used for analysing these aspects.Agricultural and Food Policy,
COMMON FIXED POINT RESULTS FOR THREE MAPS IN G-METRIC SPACES
In this paper, we use the setting of generalized metric spaces to obtain
common fixed point results for three maps. These results generalize several
well known comparable results in the literature

'A study on the service performance of "on-call-maintenance services" by DiGiCITY (M) Sdn Bhd.' / Mohd Izral Mohd Nazir
Nowadays, as we lived in the 22nd centuries, computers have emerged as one of the important things in our day life. People were using computers to assist them in their work and their task. They are trying to acquire more knowledge and skills of computers in order to make their life easier. Even big companies looked for computers now as their competitive advantage.
As many party used computers daily, it create an opportunities for DiGiCITY (M) Sdn. Bhd. to take. If the computers fails to function as usual or breakdown, these people needs an expert to solve the problems and DiGiCITY are prepared to provide these expert by hired and trained their technician to take the job. Even though DiGiCITY have hired and trained their technician well, it doesn't mean that their service performance is good. So, this research is conducted to look the service performance of on-call-maintenance services provided by DiGiCITY (M) Sdn. Bhd. DiGiCITY service performance will be determine by their own customer where it will be looked from many criteria such as effectiveness, efficiency, response time, etc. We will look whether DiGiCITY have availability of human resource to take all the job that had been offered to them and whether they have the knowledge and skills to complete the task
VIRTUAL REALITY SIMULATORS IN THE PROCESS INDUSTRY - A REVIEW OF EXISTING SYSTEMS AND THE WAY TOWARDS ETS
Simulator training with Virtual Reality Simulators deeply engages the operators and improves the learning outcome. The available commercial 3D and Virtual Reality Simulator products range from generic models for laptops to specialized projection rooms with a great variety of different audiovisual, haptic, and sensory effects. However, current virtual reality simulators do not take into account the physical and psychological strain involved in field operators’ work in real process plants. Collaborative training using Extreme Environments Training Simulators could enhance the learning process and provide a more realistic perception of the time and effort needed to carry out demanding operations in Extreme Environments. We suggest developing the following features for an optimal ETS experience and safe learning environment: immersive 3D virtual environments, mixed-reality features, automated assessment, and a monitoring system for the physiological and psychological condition of the trainees
