Stages for the More Sustainable Farm
No full textCurrently, agricultural farm units are faced with a double and most times contradictory challenge, in order to be successful: on the one hand the invested capital has to be profitable and the economic performance has to be maximised. On the other hand, given the socio-environmental situation, it is necessary to preserve and to protect the environment and natural resources. Given the potential conflict of the two aims, since the satisfaction of one implies the underperformance of the other (and vice versa), the question then is: which is the solution to choose? We intend, in this work, to formulate a farm plan with the purpose of reconciling the criteria of environmental sustainability with that of economic competitiveness. For this achievement we proceed to the comparative study of sustainability of different groups of farms identified in the study area (first evaluation cycle) through MESMIS (“Marco para la Evaluación de Sistemas de Manejo de Recursos Naturales Mediante Indicadores de Sustentabilidad” - Framework for Evaluation of Natural-Resource Systems Handling through Sustainability Indicators) methodology, that allowed to select the more sustainable group of farms. Based on the found potentialities and weakness on these production systems, we stepped to the planning of a production unit of bovine meat, which obeys simultaneously to economic and environmental objectives, using Multicriteria Decision. We finished the work with the sustainability evaluation between groups of farms identified previously and the planned farms (second evaluation cycle), based, again, in the MESMIS methodology, to confirm (or not) the greatest sustainability of the last ones. This symposium explored the history of fashion curating, the different ways fashion is displayed in museum settings, and how national and regional identities influence fashion exhibitions. The symposium was organized in conjunction with Exhibitionism: 50 Years of The Museum at FIT, which commemorated the rich history of the museum, the site of more than 200 exhibitions since the 1970s.Dr. Alexandra Palmer is the Nora E. Vaughan Senior Curator at the Royal Ontario Museum. She has curated numerous exhibitions including Christian Dior, and she is the author of the book Christian Dior: History and Modernity, 1947–1957

Ante la creciente necesidad de integrar prácticas sostenibles en todas las esferas de gestión pública, y en particular en el sector cultural, surge la pregunta de cómo implementar un modelo que no solo contribuya a la preservación del medio ambiente, sino que también promueva prácticas culturales sostenibles. El objetivo es desarrollar un modelo ajustado a las capacidades y características organizacionales y operativas de la Dirección de Artes, mejorando la sostenibilidad ambiental de sus acciones.The thesis focuses on developing a management model to improve the environmental sustainability of the actions implemented by the Ministry of Culture's Arts Directorate. With the growing need to integrate sustainable practices across all spheres of public management, particularly in the cultural sector, the question arises of how to implement a model that not only contributes to environmental preservation but also promotes sustainable cultural practices. No full textResumo: O artigo aponta o modo como o romance Deus-dará de Alexandra Lucas Coelho, escritora portuguesa contemporânea, pode ser compreendido como um exercício de renegociação da identidade portuguesa em relação a questões referentes à colonização no Brasil. Mais do que isso, problematiza-se como, por meio da estratégia da paródia no texto ficcional, a autora consegue expressar uma necessidade e possibilidade de se redefinir pelo outro em um movimento contrário ao do discurso colonial – o que também ocorre em suas entrevistas e em suas narrativas de viagens, tais como em Vai, Brasil e Cinco Voltas na Bahia e um beijo para Caetano Veloso. Palavras-chave: identidade portuguesa; paródia; pós-modernismo; escrita portuguesa contemporânea; Alexandra Lucas Coelho. Abstract: The article observes how the novel Deus-dará, by Alexandra Lucas Coelho, a Portuguese contemporary writer consists in an exercise of renegotiation for the Portuguese identity in relation to issues that refer to the colonization process in Brazil. Moreover, this text seeks to show how parody as a fictional literary strategy helps the author in expressing a necessity and a possibility of redefining oneself through the other, in a direction that goes in the opposite way of the colonial speech. This necessity and this possibility also appear in the author’s interviews and travel books, such as Vai, Brasil and Cinco Voltas na Bahia e um beijo para Caetano Veloso, which will also be mentioned in this article.Keywords: Portuguese identity; parody; post-modernism; Portuguese contemporary writing; Alexandra Lucas Coelho

José Cevallos Ruiz basic hospital, Canton Yaguachi, period December 2018- April 2019 ”with the objective of: determining the level of fulfillment of the role of nurses in non-lithotomic deliveries in order to respond to the problem What is the level of fulfillment of the role of nurses in the non-lithotomic deliveries of the José Cevallos Ruiz Basic Hospital, Yaguachi canton, December 2018-April 2019 period ?, for which it was essential to conduct a bibliographic investigation and know all the components of the object of study and power properly establish everything you want to investigate.
For which, in a technical way, it was established that the study is descriptive type since it will be announced how the object of study is carried out through the analysis of its components (activities according to each stage of labor), It is also essential to determine the study of bibliographic type since the first step was to investigate in bibliographic sources everything related to the subject and to know it both in a particular and general way, it is also known as joint research to the study for being this field since the Information that will allow to respond to each objective is obtained through observation using a file in which all the actions carried out by the nursing staff are recorded according to the elements considered necessary and structured within the file, because the information is obtained in a specific time the study is considered transversal, the population considered for the Study are the 6 nurses who regularly attend non-lithotomic deliveries. Through the application of the observation form it has been possible to obtain information where it is identified that during the first stage and second stage of labor 50% fulfill the assigned functions while of the third stage only 40% of the officials carry out the activities that correspond to them according to the role being 31% of the activities ignored by nurses when presenting their service in the delivery roomDebido a que muchas de las veces se vulnera el buen trato a las pacientes durante el parto surge la investigación denominada “Rol de las enfermeras en los partos no litotómicos. hospital básico José Cevallos Ruiz, Cantón Yaguachi, periodo diciembre 2018- abril 2019” con el objetivo de: determinar el nivel de cumplimiento del rol de las enfermeras en los partos no litotómicos esto con la finalidad de dar respuesta al problema ¿Cuál es el nivel de cumplimiento del rol de las enfermeras en los partos no litotómicos del Hospital Básico José Cevallos Ruiz, cantón Yaguachi, periodo diciembre 2018- abril 2019?, para lo cual fue indispensable realizar una investigación bibliografía y conocer todos los componentes del objeto de estudio y poder establecer adecuadamente todo aquello que se desea investigar.
Para lo cual de forma técnica se estableció que el estudio es tipo descriptivo ya que se dará a conocer cómo se desarrolla a cabo el objeto de estudio a través del análisis de sus componentes (actividades de acuerdo a cada una de las etapas del parto), siendo también indispensable determinar al estudio de tipo bibliográfico dado que el primer paso fue el investigar en fuentes bibliográficas todo lo referente al tema y conocerlo tanto de forma particular como general, también se conoce como investigación conjunta al estudio por ser de campo esto dado que la información que permitirá dar respuesta a cada objetivo se obtiene a través de la observación empleando una ficha en la cual se registra todas las acciones que desarrolla el personal de enfermería de acuerdo a los elementos considerados como necesarios y estructurados dentro de la ficha, debido a que la información se obtiene en un tiempo específico el estudio se considera transversal, la población considerada para el estudio son las 6 enfermeras que asisten regularmente en los partos no litotómicos.
Por medio de la aplicación de la ficha de observación se ha podido obtener información en donde se identifica que durante la primera etapa el 49%cumple con las funciones asignadas y la segunda etapa de la labor de parto el 48% cumple con las funciones asignadas mientras que de la tercera etapa solo el 40% de los funcionarios realizan las actividades que les corresponde de acuerdo al rol un 31% de las actividades ignoradas por las enfermeras a la hora de presentar su servicio en la sala de part

Athaliah and Alexandra: Gender and Queenship in Josephus [Author Accepted Manuscript]
No full textAthaliah and Alexandra were the only two women to rule as queens of Judah/Judaea in their own right and both women’s reigns are reported in Josephus’ writings. Despite their uniqueness, however, Athaliah and Alexandra are rarely compared in scholarship; the former is usually dismissed, and focus centred on the latter. This article contends that there are historical similarities between the two, but literary differences. Josephus could have referred to Athaliah or used elements of her portrayal in his presentation of Alexandra but does not, creating the impression that Alexandra was completely different to her predecessor. It may be instructive, therefore, to consider why Josephus literarily isolates the queens and what this means for his interpretation of Alexandra

No full textThe following investigative work was elaborated with the objective of developing an Examination to the Special Contribution of improvements of “GAD Municipal del Canton Guano” year 2020.
The beginning of the investigation was started with the knowledge of the general aspects of the GADM of Guano Canton, proceeding to the approach of the problem in order to establish the objectives and theoretical framework, the compilation of information was developed with the application of an interview to the directors of the areas involved in the determination of special contribution of improvements and surveys applied to the contributing inhabitants of Guano Canton, the development of the investigation was carried out through audit programs such as planning, execution and communication of results, with these programs proceeded with the verification and compliance with legal regulations, and continued with the administrative and financial management process through the determination, issuance, collection and registration of the special contribution for improvements for the 2020 period.
The discoveries found in this research work are: the staff in charge of the special contribution of improvements is not trained and the inhabitants who contribute are not aware of this, for this reason the taxes are not totally paid, in addition, the ordinance is not applied as dictated by law, considering that, they are subjected to a resolution issued by directors, achieving evidence of accumulated overdue portfolio values.El presente trabajo investigativo, se elaboró con el objetivo de desarrollar un “Examen Especial a la Contribución Especial de mejoras del GAD Municipal Del Cantón Guano Periodo 2020.
El inicio de la investigación se dio con el conocimiento de los aspectos generales del GADM del Cantón Guano procediendo al planteamiento del problema para así poder establecer los objetivos y marco teórico, la recopilación de información se desarrolló con la aplicación de entrevista a los directores de las áreas involucradas en la determinación de contribución especial de mejoras y encuestas aplicadas a los habitantes contribuyentes del Cantón Guano , el desarrollo de la investigación se lo realizo a través de programas de auditoria como son la planificación, ejecución y comunicación de resultados, mediante estos programas se procedió con la verificación y cumplimiento de la normativa legal, con el proceso de gestión Administrativa y financiera de la determinación, emisión, recaudación y registro de contribución especial de mejoras del periodo 2020.
Los hallazgos encontrados en este trabajo de investigación son, el personal a cargo de contribución especial de mejoras no se encuentra capacitado y los habitantes que contribuyen no tienen conocimiento de esta contribución, es por esta razón que las recaudaciones no son totalmente canceladas, a esto se suma que no se aplica la ordenanza conforme lo dictamina la ley considerando que se sujetan a una resolución emitida por directivos logrando evidenciar valores de cartera vencida acumuladaUNACH, Ecuado
