Processed measurement data of acceleration of MR fluid-filled cushion gripper on UR3e robot
The dataset is a supplement to the article that will soon be submitted for review. DESCRIPTION:The dataset consists of Absolute Orientation Sensor (BNO055) measurements during the transportation of an object by a UR3e robot. The trajectory of the robot's movement includes lifting the object to a height of about 200 mm, horizontal displacement for a distance of 400 mm, and lowering by 200 mm. The transfer procedure begins with the closing of the jaws and ends with their opening. The procedure is analogous to the one outlined in the following dataset:Białek, Marcin, 2023, "Processed measurement data on grip forces during object transportation by a robot using gripper with a MR fluid-filled cushions", https://doi.org/10.18150/B2KCKC, RepOD.The experiment was conducted for three values of acceleration and velocity of the robot joints. For each such configuration, 5 handling tests were carried out.LICENSE:The data are under Creative Commons License CC BY. The Bogoliubov Free Energy Functional I: Existence of Minimizers and Phase Diagram
The Bogoliubov free energy functional is analysed. The functional serves as a model of a translation invariant Bose gas at positive temperature. We prove the existence of minimizers in the case of repulsive interactions given by a sufficiently regular two-body potential. Furthermore, we prove existence of a phase transition in this model and provide its phase diagram
The Bogoliubov free energy functional II:The dilute limit
We analyse the canonical Bogoliubov free energy functional at low temperatures in the dilute limit. We prove existence of a first order phase transition and, in the limit , we determine the critical temperature to be to leading order. Here, is the critical temperature of the free Bose gas, is the density of the gas, is the scattering length of the pair-interaction potential , and its first order approximation. We also prove asymptotic expansions for the free energy. In particular, we recover the Lee-Huang-Yang formula in the limit

A note on the validity of Bogoliubov correction to mean-field dynamics
We study the norm approximation to the Schrödinger dynamics of N bosons in with an interaction potential of the form . Assuming that in the initial state the particles outside of the condensate form a quasi-free state with finite kinetic energy, we show that in the large N limit, the fluctuations around the condensate can be effectively described using Bogoliubov approximation for all . The range of β is expected to be optimal for this large class of initial states
"Without Mezuzah or Menorah". Białystok. Biała siła, czarna pamięć (Białystok. White Power, Black Memory) by Marcin Kącki
The author of the article presents a book by Marcin Kącki, a journalist of "Gazeta Wyborcza", entitled Białystok. Biała siła, czarna pamięć (Białystok. White Power, Black Memory), published in 2015. In the reportage, the author tries to present the reasons why the city in Podlasie began to be presented as a xenophobic space, especially unfriendly to Jews. This is in contrast to the multicultural reality of Białystok, a city inhabited by Poles, Belarussians, Tatars, Ukrainians, and a few Jews. It is a city where Ludwik Zamenhof, the creator of Esperanto, was born. According to Kącki, the cause of radicalization is the fact that Jews from Białystok have been wiped from the social memory. Kącki's book has aroused great controversy.JAN MIKLAS-FRANKOWSKI – dr, adiunkt w Zakładzie Komunikacji Społecznej i Kulturowej w Instytucie Filozofii, Socjologii i Dziennikarstwa Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego. Continuous-discrete smoothing of diffusions
Suppose X is a multivariate diffusion process that is observed discretely in time. At each observation time, a transformation of the state of the process is observed with noise. The smoothing problem consists of recovering the path of the process, consistent with the observations. We derive a novel Markov Chain Monte Carlo algorithm to sample from the exact smoothing distribution. The resulting algorithm is called the Backward Filtering Forward Guiding (BFFG) algorithm. We extend the algorithm to include parameter estimation. The proposed method relies on guided proposals introduced in Schauer et al. (2017). We illustrate its efficiency in a number of challenging problems.Revised article with additional author Marcin Mider. Article contains an animated figur
Bogoliubov correction to the mean-field dynamics of interacting bosons
We consider the dynamics of a large quantum system of N identical bosons in 3D interacting via a two-body potential of the form N3β-1w(Nβ(x - y)). For fixed 0 = β < 1/3 and large N, we obtain a norm approximation to the many-body evolution in the Nparticle Hilbert space. The leading order behaviour of the dynamics is determined by Hartree theory while the second order is given by Bogoliubov theory
A Methodology to Develop Agent-Based Models for Policy Design in Socio-Technical Systems Based on Qualitative Inquiry
Agent-based models (ABM) for policy design need to be grounded in empirical data. While many ABMs rely on quantitative data such as surveys, much empirical research in the social sciences is based on qualitative research methods such as interviews or observations that are hard to translate into a set of quantitative rules, leading to a gap in the phenomena that ABM can explain. As such, there is a lack of a clear methodology to systematically develop ABMs for policy design on the basis of qualitative empirical research. In this paper, a two-stage methodology is proposed that takes an exploratory approach to the development of ABMs in socio-technical systems based on qualitative data. First, a conceptual framework centered on a particular policy design problem is developed based on empirical insights from one or more case studies. Second, the framework is used to guide the development of an ABM. This step is sensitive to the purpose of the model, which can be theoretical or empirical. The proposed methodology is illustrated by an application for disaster information management in Jakarta, resulting in an empirical descriptive ABM.Green Open Access added to TU Delft Institutional Repository ‘You share, we take care!’ – Taverne project https://www.openaccess.nl/en/you-share-we-take-care Otherwise as indicated in the copyright section: the publisher is the copyright holder of this work and the author uses the Dutch legislation to make this work public.System EngineeringTransport and Logistic
