    Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman dengan Mengkontruksi Teks Argumentasi

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan membaca pemahaman dengan mengkontruksi teks argumentasi.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode korelasi.Teknik penarikan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling.Sampel penelitian ini menggunakan siswa kelas X MAN 2 Payakumbuh yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Hasil rata-rata keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa 84,2 dengan kualifikasi baik, dan rata-rata mengkontruksi teks argumentasi siswa rata-rata 87 dengan kualifikasi baik sekali. Setelah dianalisis dengan rumus uji-t ,diperoleh nilai thitung> ttabel 2,70>2,048. Simpulan, terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antaraketerampilan membaca pemahaman dengan mengkontruksi teks argumentas

    Penyimpangan Maksim Kesantunan Jalan Mandaki Bahasa Minangkabau

    Penelitian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis penyimpangan maksim kesantunan jalan mandaki bahasa Minangkabau Jorong Niur Kapalo Koto Kenagarian Sariak Laweh Kecamatan Akabiliru Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan tututuran yang diucapkan yang berupa kata dan kalimat. Informan penelitian adalah masyarakat asli Jorong Niur Kapalo Koto yang berjumlah 6 orang dari 500 orang sedangkan objeknya adalah tuturan yang di ucapkan masyarakat.Instrument penelitian adalah peneliti sendiri yang dilengkapi dengan tabel klasifikasi dan dibantu alat pendukung seperti, pena, buku maupun alatrekam.Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan prosedur analisis data kualitatif berdasarkan model interaktif miles yang secara umum mencakup tiga tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data dan menarik kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ditemukan 190 data tuturan sedangkan tuturan yang mengandung penyimpangan maksim kesantunan sebanyak 40data tuturan. Berikut klasifiksai analisis penyimpangan maksim kesantunan jalan mandakibahasa Minagkabau (1)  penyimpangan maksim kebijaksanaan 11 data,  (2) penyimpangan maksim kedermawanan 6 data tuturan, (3) penyimpangan maksim pujian 7 data tuturan, (4) penyimpangan maksim kerendahan hati 8 data tuturan, (5) penyimpangan kesepakatan 5 data tuturan, dan ( 6) penyimpangan maksim kesimpatian 3 data tuturan. Simpulan, penyimpangan maksim kesantunan yang banyak terjadi adalah pelanggaran makism kebijaksanan karena dalam percakapan seringkali penutur mengucapkan tuturan dengan tujuan merugikan orang lain tanpa memikirkan akibat yang timbul dari apa yang diucapkan.   Kata Kunci: Bahasa Minangkabau, Jalan Mandaki, Maksim Kesantunan &nbsp

    Korelasi Kebiasaan Membaca dengan Membaca Pemahaman

    This study aims to determine the relationship between reading habits and students\u27 reading comprehension. The method used is quantitative research through a correlation approach. Sampling was carried out using the theory of Non-Probability Sampling with the Sampling technique. The research instrument used questionnaires and multiple-type objective tests. The study results show that the students\u27 reading habits are categorized as special, with an average score of 80, at the mastery level of 76-85%. Students\u27 reading comprehension results are classified as good, with an average count of 73, which is on a scale of 66-75%. The tcount obtained is 2.36 and ttable 2.056. In conclusion, there is a relationship between reading habits and reading comprehension of students of the Indonesian Language Education study program who take the Reading Skills course at Bung Hatta University.     Lingkungan Sosial Keluarga terhadap Hasil Belajar

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hubungan yang signifikan antara lingkungan sosial keluarga dengan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa Kelas VIII SMPN 2 kecamatan Guguak. Jenis penelitian ini kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian berjumlah 80 siswa dengan jumlah sampel 80 orang (total sampling). Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket dan hasil belajar bahasa Indonesia siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata lingkungan sosial keluarga yaitu 77 dengan kaulifikasi baik dan rata-rata nilai hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia yaitu 79 dengan kualifikasi baik. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian dengan menggunakan rumus product moment diperoleh rhitung 0,6379 diperoleh thitung 2,4570 dengan derajat kebebasan N-2 (80-2 = 78), dan taraf signifikan 0,05. Hipotesis diterima jika thitung > ttabel. Dengan demikian H1 diterima karena hasil pengjian membuktikan bahwa thitung lebih besar dari ttabel yaitu 2,4570 > 2,000. Simpulan, terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara lingkungan sosial keluarga dengan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas VIII SMPN 2 Kecamatan Guguak Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota.  Lingkungan sosial keluarga berkontribusi terhadap hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas VIII SPMN 2 Kecamatan Guguak Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota sebesar 40,69%.   Kata kunci: Hasil Belajar, Lingkungan Sosial Keluarg

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed.     Variations on the Author

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
