    Umunya orang membuang sampah pada satu wadah, sehingga sampat menjadi tercampur dan sulit untuk didaur ulang. Penelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan mesin pemisah sampah. Kinerja mesin dalam memisahkan limbah terdiri dari dua tahap, yaitu (1) proses penguraian limbah campuran dengan menggunakan tekanan air dalam tabung silinder, (2) pemilahan limbah menggunakan hit air yang terjadi karena tekanan air menyembur melalui nosel ke dalam tabung dan perbedaan massa jenis air dengan limbah. Hasil pengujian mesin menunjukkan bahwa tekanan air yang disemprotkan oleh nozzle dalam tabung silinder secara efektif menggambarkan limbah. Fenomena riak air dan perbedaan dalam kepadatan jenis air dengan sampah membuat kepadatan berat jenis air lebih ringan daripada air mengapung (contoh: plastik, anorganik) disuplai ke kategori ringan dari wadah limbah anorganik. Limbah padat dari jenis yang sama dengan air (contoh: botol air mineral, anorganik) mengambang di tengah tabung silinder yang disalurkan ke wadah limbah anorganik sedang. Sampah yang beratnya lebih berat daripada air (contoh: sisa makanan, daun, organik) dikubur di bawah tabung silinder yang didistribusikan dalam wadah limbah organik. Limbah terpilah ini dapat dimanfaatkan atau didaur ulang untuk yang lain

    Based on research conducted by PISA, the ability to solve problems and think critically of Indonesian students is still below the average score set by PISA. Problem based learning is one of the learning models recommended by the Ministry of Education and Culture to be applied in improving these abilities. However, the lack of problem-based learning that has been applied so far is the lack of use of media that can be used as support in learning activities, resulting in inconsistencies in the impact of problem-based learning in improving student skills. The importance of these skills for students to have in this era of the industrial revolution 4.0, makes educators have to be more creative and innovative in implementing learning. Therefore, this study aims at seeing efforts to improve problem solving skills and critical thinking skills through problem based integrated computer assisted instruction (CAI). This study used a quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test control group design. The population in this study were undergraduate students of Mechanical Engineering Education, Padang State University. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire which is used to see students\u27 problem solving and critical thinking skills. The data analysis technique in this study is in accordance with the research hypothesis, where research hypotheses 1 and 2 use independent sample t-test and research hypothesis 3 uses MANCOVA. The research covered by his study is in line with higher education\u27s continuing search for effective SCL approachesBerdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan oleh PISA, kemampuan memecahkan masalah dan berpikir kritis siswa Indonesia masih dibawah skor rata-rata yang ditetapkan oleh PISA. Problem based learning adalah salah satu model pembelajaran yang direkomendasikan oleh kemendikbud untuk dapat diterapkan dalam peningkatan kemampuan tersebut. Akan tetapi, kekurangan dari problem-based learning yang diterapkan selama ini kurangnya penggunaan media yang dapat dijadikan penunjang dalam kegiatan pembelajaran, sehingga terjadi inkonsistensi terhadap dampak problem-based learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa. Pentingnya keterampilan tersebut untuk dimiliki oleh mahasiswa di era revolusi industry 4.0 ini, membuat pendidik harus bisa lebih kreatif dan inovatif dalam menerapkan pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat upaya peningkatakan problem solving skill dan critical thinking skill melalui computer assisted instruction (CAI) terintegrasi problem based. Penelitian ini menggunakan quasi eksperimen pre-test dan post-test control group desain. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa S1 Pendidikan Teknik Mesin Universitas Negeri Padang.     A Comparison of the Problem-Solving Skills of Students in PJBL Versus CPJBL Model: An Experimental Study

    Each learning model has different pattern and approach that will affect the learning outcomes. Thus, a study is required focused on the effect of implementing the learning model so that it can become a reference for teachers. The study aimed to compare the students’ problem-solving skills using Project Based Learning (PjBL) model and Cooperative-Project Based Learning (CPjBL) model implementation. The study was carried using out a quasi-experiment method. To reveal problem-solving skills, students used the authentic Assessment technique. A t-test was used to analyse data. The results of the study showed that there is a significant difference in students’ problem-solving skills between the PjBL and the CPjBL model, and that these differences are strongly influenced by the syntax or stages of the instructional model. Results show that CPjBL is more effective to improve students’ problem-solving skills. In PjBL model, learning activities are directed to project assignment, while in CPjBL model, learning activities of students began with motivation to achieve the learning outcomes, which were provided by modules through cooperative learning, understanding the concept and work principles through instructional media, prototype, discussion and demonstration. The cooperative learning made students group learning more structured corresponded with learning topic assigned. The students group would continue to carry out project assignment with permanent members and learning topic. The CPjBL model is more superior than PjBL model in accordance with the ability of the students as the syntax of the model is systematically organized based on learning hierarchy. &nbsp

    MEWUJUDKAN TUJUAN PENDIRIAN AKADEMI KOMUNITAS MELALUI PENERAPAN MODEL PROJECT BASED LEARNING

    Akademi komunitas merupakan bentuk Pendidikan vokasional baru yang ada di Indonesia. Basis pendirian dari Akademi komunitas ini adalah keunggulan lokal atau memenuhi kebutuhan khusus, hal ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan potensi yang ada didaerah. Untuk mewujudkan tujuan dari pendirian Akademi Komunitas ini, maka perlunya suatu inovasi pada kegiatan pembelajaran yaitu dengan memilih model pembelajaran yang dapat mewujudkan tujuan dari pendirian Akademi Komunitas tersebut. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan pembelajaran Praktek Las di Akademi Komunitas dengan penerapan model project based learning dalam mewujudkan tujuan pendiriannya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Data penelitian diperoleh dari observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dari penerapan model project based learning pada mata kuliah praktek las yang telah dilakukan mahasiswa mampu mengidentifikasi potensi, tantangan atau masalah yang ada didaerah sekitaran Akademi Komunitas. Hasil indetifikasi dan diskusi tentang potensi daerah yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa adalah pada bidang pertanian dan masalahnya alat pertanian yang dimiliki oleh petani masih konvesional. Berdasarkan hal ini mahasiswa membuat tugas proyek berupa alat pertanian sederhana. Produk hasil tugas proyek mahasiswa ini berpotensi untuk mengembangkan potensi daerah dan memecahkan masalah yang berkembang dimasyarakat.&nbsp

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed.     “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    STUDI PERANCANGAN KAPAL WISATA KATAMARAN UNTUK PENGEMBANGAN WISATA DANAU SUMATERA BARAT

    Kapal wisata dapat menjadi wahana yang menarik wisatawan untuk berkunjung, oleh karena itu perlunya pengembangan kapal wisata untuk danau di Sumatera Barat. Artikel ini membahas tentang kapal wisata katamaran dengan bahan fiber. Metode yang digunakan untuk menguji tahanan yang dialami Kapal dan mengetahui daya yang dibutuhkan menggunakan simulasi komputer dengan software Maxsurf Resistance. Hasil pengujian mengungkapkan bahwa tahanan yang dialami model lambung kapal pada kecepatan dinas (6 Knot) sebesar 389,95 N dan membutuhkan daya untuk melaju sebesar 1,614 Hp. Kapal yang dirancang ini dapat menjadi acuan dalam pengembangan kapal wisata untuk danau Sumatera Barat

    Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

    We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.     Implementation of the PjBL model to enhance problem solving skill and skill competency of community college student

    The research aims at enhance problem solving ability and competency skills of students. The method used was classroom action research in the course of welding practice with a group of 10 students. The research data obtained from the problem solving skills assessment interview techniques, competency skills gained from the project assessment and a written test, and the improvement data were analyzed using average gain (g). PjBL model provides students the opportunity to solve the problems of the real world by creating innovative works through their project work. PjBL model provides opportunities and experiences for students to solve the problem so the next project the students already have experience and ability to make decisions about what effort needs to be done to solve the problem. The power of thinking ability in solving the problem implications for increasing student competency skills, because any problems found can be resolved properly so that the process and the work of students increased for the better. From these results be obtained conclude the implementation of project based learning models can enhance the problem solving ability and competency skills of students
