L’obiettivo è di cogliere e analizzare i fattori che possono agevolare una nuova offerta turistica locale, coerentemente con uno sviluppo turistico equilibrato e integrato della città.In Italy, in recent decades, there has been a significant increase in cultural events that respond to social questions and needs. Catania is preparing to host the Bellini Festival on the model of Bergamo, Parma and Pesaro. This work proposes the results of an analysis to measure the interest of the community and the various stakeholders involved in the enhancement and promotion of Bellini’s places. The goal is to grasp and analyze the factors that can facilitate a new local tourist offer, consistently with a perspective of a balanced and integrated tourism development of the city
Competitiveness and sustainability: an AGeI research on the territorial dimension of Lisbon/Gothenburg processes applying STeM approach at the Italian scale NUTs2 and 3
No full textIn Italy we have observed in the last ten years strong forces moving towards a new approach to territorial and economic development.
New guidance and new procedures (governance) in the international and European researches have singled out in NUTs 2 and 3 levels the best geographical scale for programming the economic development; this means that provinces must have, at least in Italy, broaden competences useful to give ‘European’ solution to the problems of organization and management of territory, economy, society, environment.
In this sense, the application of new geographical criteria to the analysis of Italian province competitiveness could give a measure of the progressive ‘federalisation’ of the Italian system.
In this paper we presents the main results, and the most important following line of project, of the Research worked out by the AGeI (Association of the Italian Geographers) national Group in the last two years. The Research Group have applied the STeM approach (Sustainable Territorial Economic/Environmental Management Approach) at the geographical scale NUTs2 and 3 in Italy. Through the application of a broad range (116) of indicators to all 20 regions and 109 Italian provinces, we observe how the territorial diversity could be considered like a relational good, something that could add value to the opportunity of economic and territorial development in the European integration process

No full textL'odeporica costituisce un genere particolarmente fecondo per la prospettiva geografica: la costruzione di spazialità e immaginari passa per specifiche forme di testualizzazione che riconducono a complesse (ri)produzioni culturali. A partire dall'analisi geoculturale di alcuni brani significativi de Patagonia Express di Luis Sepúlveda, questo contributo intende mostrare alcune modalità attraverso le quali l'autore cileno ricostruisce, nel suo racconto di viaggio in forma di appunti, spazialità, paesaggi e interazioni visitando luoghi particolarmente ostili del continente Sudamericano, come la Patagonia e il deserto di Atacama. L'analisi di tali brani si concentra sulla narrazione dell'esperienza autobiografica dell'autore che attinge a un vasto immaginario personale e collettivo, allo stesso tempo riproducendolo.Travel narrative is a fruitful genre for the geographical perspective. The construction of spatiality and imaginaries takes place through specific forms of textualization that lead back to complex cultural (re)productions. Starting from a geocultural analysis of some significant texts of Patagonia Express by Luis Sepulveda, this study aims to show some ways in which the Chilean author reconstructs, in his trave! story written as notes, spatiality, landscapes and interactions by visiting particularly hostile places on the South American continent, such as Patagonia and the Atacama Desert. The analysis of these passages focuses on the narration of the author's autobiographical experience that draws on a wide persona! and collective imaginary, reproducing it at the same time
