Tupiperla guariru n. sp. is a small to medium size species of the genus. Holotype, male: forewing length, 7.9 mm; antenna length, 6.0 mm; number of cercomeres, 12; paratypes, males (n= 7): forewing length, 6.2–8.1 mm; antenna length, 6.1–7.2 mm; number of cercomeres, 11–12; females (n= 5): forewing length, 8.0– 8.7 mm; antenna length, 7.8–9.2 mm; number of cercomeres, 11–13. General color dark brown. Head dark brown with lighter triangular area in front of the coronal bifurcation and lighter spots laterally to the paired ocelli; in some specimens, anterior part of frons lighter; clypeus and labrum light brown; three ocelli and compound eyes black; in lighter individuals, lateral part of the head, behind compound eyes, with a distinct dark brown band; maxillary palpi 5 -segmented, brown, with the last segment darker; labial palpi brown and 3 -segmented; antennae brown. Thorax dark brown; pronotum with rugosities and narrower than the head; legs brown, tibia and tarsi darker; in prothoracic legs, ventral femoral spine small (most females) or absent (most males), in meso- and metathoracic legs, femoral spine present; forewing light brown with many crossveins, pterostigmatic cell without crossvein. Male. Abdominal terga of the segments I–III mainly white, remaining segments mainly brown; tergum X with triangular white patch in the base and with small extension (figure 1); abdominal sterna brown with white patches, which vary in size with the segment; subgenital plate dark brown (Fig. 3); paraprocts dark brown, in lateral view, they expanded progressively towards the apex, which is rounded with a small pointed tooth on posterodorsal portion (Fig. 2). Female. Abdominal segments I–VII membranous; sternum VII with two strong spots; subgenital plate sclerotized and robust, surpassing segment IX apex and reaching segment X (Figs. 4–5); segments IX and X sclerotized and dark brown. Remarks. Tupiperla guariru has a tergum X extension similar to that of T. modesta; however, the paraprocts of both species are different. In T. guariru, the paraprocts expand progressively towards a rounded apex, with a small pointed tooth on the posterodorsal portion, whereas in T. modesta, the paraprocts are similar width throughout their length, ending in a rounded apex. Additionally, males of T. guariru have a rounded posterior subgenital plate margin, but in T. modesta this structure is pointed. Females of T. guariru lack lateral extensions of the subgenital plate, which are present in T. modesta. Etymology. “Serra do Guariru ”, an indigenous name for the mountain range “Serra da Jibóia”, Bahia State, the region where the specimens were collected. The word “ Guariru ” means water reservoir in the Tupi language. The name is used as a noun in apposition.Published as part of Duarte, Tácio, Bispo, Pitágoras C. & Calor, Adolfo R., 2014, A new species of Tupiperla Froehlich, 1969 (Plecoptera: Gripopterygidae) from Serra da Jibóia, Bahia, Brazil, pp. 140-144 in Zootaxa 3835 (1) on page 141, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.3835.1.9, http://zenodo.org/record/23037

Abstract : This dissertation is about the intellectual contacts made by Paulo Duarte during his two exiles. The Brazilian president, Getúlio Vargas, exhiled Duarte for two times: in 1934 and, after a period back in Brazil, again, between 1938 and 1945, during the dictatorial government called Estado Novo. The text uses the image of the river, essential in Duarte's writings, to make a movement brushing the history against the grain, that is, against the stream, searching for the relations and contacts which have not been explored in the creation of the writer's "institutional" image. After an excursus in which the river's image is presented, as well as questions about autobiography and the theories about memory and history that guides the doctoral dissertation, we discuss three problems in which Duarte's position allows reading different modernity theories in Latin America. First come the idea of heritage and the debate in which he takes part during his passage through Argentina, in its proximity with Walter Benjamin and the Annales' reflections about History. Second, the search for History and culture's foundings takes Duarte's reflections to the problem of the mankind's origin, that is rooted in the language, according to Duarte. At last, the dissertation approaches the emergency of the problem of image, which, converging with the discussion about origin and language, takes, in the reading of and the contact between Duarte and Luis Buñuel, Anton Giulio Bragaglia and Samuel Beckett, to the swirl of rooting the origin in the void

The interdisciplinary relationship between literature and anthropology has flourished in contemporary writing. Some authors build their characters based on long ethnographic research. The anonymous voices come alive when they are translated by the authoritative voices of the modern writers. Thus, the fiction becomes a way of saying what we see in different cultures. Seeing, interpreting, translating the world: the experience became the literary inspiration for many modern authors, and consequently, the discussion involving literature and anthropology has grown productively and is opening ways for new studies involving the two camps. A good example is the writing of an Angolan Ruy Duarte de Carvalho, mixing elements ethnographic in his literary work. Thus, the aim of this work is to show how to set up this relationship in the works of English papers (2007) and I'm going to visit pastors (2000). In both the narrator-author from the beginning shows unusual bibliographic traces. I cite as an example the constant referencial resumption of those characters that accompanied him on his "ethnographic wanderings "Vou lá visitar pastores". In this book the narrator /author tells his own anthropological experience and observe the experiences of the others to explain it with his own manners. We note that Ruy Duarte de Carvalho's look is turned to the peoples and cultures of Africa, so that even in "Os papéis do inglês", the history of this distinguished representative of the western civilization acquires secondary value throughout the work. Duarte produces narratives permeated by issues of identity, memory and authority in alternating roles assumed sometimes by "himself", other times by the "other". Therefore, in addition to reading the works cited, we will consider concepts like tradition and modernity and post-colonialism from the studies of Laura Padilla, and discuss the assumptions of James Clifford (2011) and Clifford Geertz (2009) on the proximities of anthropology and literature
Vou lá visitar pastores : space and narrative in Ruy Duarte de Carvalho
In this paper we analyze the work Vou Lá Visitar Pastores (2000), by Ruy Duarte de Carvalho, necause in this narrative the author reveals the particular universe of Kuvale folk, a subgroup of the Herero ethnic group. To enter this world of ethnic identifications Ruy Duarte went to live with them himself in the Namib Desert, for about six months a year. The result of this work is presented to us in this interesting work involving anthropology, literature and history, as we can check this article
Study of Women's memories of the Movement for Amnesty (MFPA) in Ceará, with emphasis on narratives of ex-members, between the years 1976 and 1979. The work seeks to understand the issues of gender in how women recover their political actions and paths of life, focusing on development of subjectivity from collective experience. The Women's Movement was established by Amnesty in 1975, at the national level, with the objective of fighting for amnesty for persecuted by the military dictatorship in 1964. Its board meeting, according to the statutory rules, only women with nuclei the country and thousands of participants. Though formed in large part by relatives of political prisoners and exiles, the MFPA adds women eager to resume political militancy discontinued or performed only in a clandestine, in addition to meeting people moved by the solidarity. The coexistence between different motivations militants with political action generates a sui generis, in constant exploitation of the genre, with the dispute between reconstructed memories of this and making more complex the activity of the Movement that, although based on traditional values linked to the figure of the woman as defender of family and peaceful society, beyond such experiences. There polarization, especially concentrated among those who identify themselves as relatives of political prisoners and those that are claimed as "more politicized." The reasons for the dispute are analyzed over the work. Neither the memories of MFPA are produced only by women's group formed for this research. Is present in speeches in ceremonies and events of the movement of pardon in the state, the media and the documentation of the safety of the dictatorial regime. The speeches are constantly compared and confronted with documents of this oral history research in analysis that expands the ways to understand the fight for amnesty in Brazil, recovering the action of women as key characters
