Sanitary education, as an integral part of the health care system, is an instrument that includes a set of organizational state, public and medical measures aimed at improving the health of the population through information and training, the formation of practical skills Sanitary education is an indispensable direction and an obligatory part of the activity of each health-care institution, the professional duty of all medical workers.
There are three main prevention strategies that reduce mortality from non-infectious diseases: a population-based prevention strategy; preventive strategy for identifying high-risk individuals and correcting them risk factors; as well as secondary prevention, which includes both therapeutic measures in the period of exacerbation of the disease, and measures for their prevention.
The "Health Centers" are the organizational and methodological centers that organize the work on spreading knowledge about health and healthy lifestyle among the population. The purpose of the service of this service is to create people's behavior in a healthy way of life, to increase the level of sanitary culture of the population, to participate in health improvement measures that promote preservation and strengthening of health, increase of efficiency and active longevity. The main tasks of sanitary education are the dissemination of healthy lifestyles, the prevention of harmful habits, information on contemporary ideas about the causes of various diseases, the system of individual and community measures for their primary and secondary prevention. Awareness of these and other issues is an important prerequisite for the conscious and responsible attitude of all sections of the population towards ecological and hygienic environmental problems, adherence to the requirements of individual and public hygiene in all spheres of human life and work.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. Linear stability of a liquid flow through a poroelastic channel
No full textA liquid flow through a channel is studied based on the Orr-Sommerfeld eigenvalue problem, where the lower wall of the channel is occupied by the saturated poroelastic medium. The linear stability analysis is investigated in detail for arbitrary value of the wavenumber. The eigenvalues are computed numerically by using the Chebyshev spectral collocation method. The effect of physical parameters, for instance, permeability, elasticity as well as their combined effect on the unstable modes are examined
The Potential Economic Impacts of the Proposed Development Corridor in Egypt: An Interregional CGE Approach
No full textEgypt has proposed a new development corridor. A main component is a desert-based expansion of the current highway network. This network is founded on a 1200-kilometer north-south route that starts at a proposed new port near El-Alemein and runs parallel to the Nile Valley to the border of Sudan. It also includes 21 east-west branches that connect the main axis to densely populated cities on the Nile. The paper is a first attempt at an economic assessment of the impact of this proposed corridor. It uses an interregional computable general equilibrium (CGE) model developed and reported in a prior paper. Here, that model is integrated with a more detailed geo-coded transportation network model to help quantify the spatial effects of transportation cost change due specifically to changes in accessibility induced by the corridor. Entrainment of a turbulent patch in a stratified fluid
No full textTurbulent patches are localized events of turbulence, typically characterized by sharp differences between the flow characteristics across their interfaces. These localized events might add to the global mixing, heat exchange and mass transfer, playing a non-negligible role in the total energy balance in lakes or the ocean. This study takes a detailed look at the inner structure of a localized, mechanically forced patch in a linearly stratified ambient using laboratory experiments utilizing synchronized PIV and PLIF. The results point out that the role of the turbulent/non-turbulent interface at the edge of the patch could be significant in determining the growth rate and the maximum size of the patch
