Anachronistic dystopias : constructive tensions between digital and analog imaging
No full textThe processes of constructing images that take the intersection as artistic strategy encompass much of the current production in the visual arts. This article discusses the recent productions of Flavya Mutran and Jander Rama, whose practices move between the anachronisms of the processes of analog image production and the dystopian vision related to advances in digital images. The transition of these productions through printmaking, drawing and photography raises questions about the stresses and displacements of the subject in contemporary art, caused by the clash between old and new technologies

Neste artigo são abordadas as produções recentes de Flavya Mutran e Jander Rama, cujas práticas transitam entre o anacronismo dos processos de produção de imagens manuais frente à visão distópica em relação aos avanços das imagens numerizadas. O trânsito destas produções entre a gravura, o desenho ou a fotografia levantam questões sobre as tensões e deslocamentos do sujeito na arte contemporânea, provocadas pelo embate entre novas e velhas tecnologias

Registros da paisagem : fotogravuras sobre offset
No full textEsta pesquisa investiga como fotogravuras podem representar as transformações da paisagem após a enchente de 2024 no Rio Grande do Sul, articulando um percurso que combina prática artística, experimentação técnica e reflexão teórica. A partir de caminhadas realizadas em Porto Alegre e Eldorado do Sul, registram-se ruínas, casas inclinadas e vestígios urbanos que revelam marcas da catástrofe e reposicionam o olhar sobre território, memória e impermanência. O trabalho desenvolve fotogravuras realizadas em chapas reutilizadas de offset, explorando processos alternativos e de baixo impacto ambiental, reunidos sob o termo “algravura”, tendo como principais referenciais teóricos autores como Francesco Careri, Milton Santos, Félix Guattari e Henri-Pierre Jeudy, entre outros. O caminhar é compreendido como prática estética e metodológica, capaz de instaurar um modo de ver e de produzir imagens. A pesquisa dialoga ainda com artistas como Maristela Salvatori, Paula Almozara e Rafael Pagatini, que exploram relações entre arquitetura, percurso e materialidade.This research investigates how photogravures can represent transformations in the landscape after the 2024 flood in Rio Grande do Sul, articulating a trajectory that combines artistic practice, technical experimentation, and theoretical reflection. Based on walks carried out in Porto Alegre and Eldorado do Sul, the work documents ruins, tilted houses, and urban traces that reveal marks of the catastrophe and reposition the gaze toward territory, memory, and impermanence. The project develops photogravures produced on reused offset plates, exploring alternative and low-environmental-impact processes, grouped under the term “algravura,” and draws on theoretical references such as Francesco Careri, Milton Santos, Félix Guattari, and Henri-Pierre Jeudy. Walking is understood as both an aesthetic and methodological practice, capable of establishing a mode of seeing and producing images. The research also dialogues with artists such as Maristela Salvatori, Paula Almozara, and Rafael Pagatini, who explore the relationships between architecture, path, and materiality

No full textO presente trabalho de conclusão de curso busca compilar e analisar as reflexões e atravessamentos presentes no projeto que desenvolvi de 2018 até 2023, intitulado CODEX. Os trabalhos são desenhos sobre papel, e por meio destes, desenvolvi um universo ficcional, abordando os conceitos dos códices, escrita assêmica, concept art, rework, multiversos e construção de narrativas visuais por meio de elementos visuais gráficos, com expografia voltada para a interação entre obra e espectador.The present thesis aims to compile and analyze the reflections and insights present in the project I developed from 2018 to 2023, entitled CODEX. The works consist of drawings on paper, through which I created a fictional universe, addressing the concepts of codices, asemic writing, concept art, rework, multiverses, and the construction of visual narratives through graphic visual elements, with an exhibition focused on the interaction between artwork and spectator
