    In Indonesia, Hadith studies are a rare discipline, if not a very rare one. This raises a lot of concerns within the Muslim community about the frequent use of false (maudhû '), semi-fake (matrûk), and weak (dha'īf) Hadiths, or claiming things that are not as part of Prophetic traditions. This article attempts to review the scholarly background, the ideas, and the scientific contribution of Prof. Dr. Kiai Ali Mustafa Yaqub, MA to the development of the study of hadith in the archipelago. This paper considers that it is not easy to find people who may be called as a muhaddith (expert of Hadith) within the meaning of its terminology. In fact, the Hadith is the second source of authority (secondary resources) in Islam after the Qur'an. Learning from the figure of Kiai Ali Mustafa Yaqub, every Muslim should know and understand at the same hadith interpret the Hadith, therefore, as it is essential in understanding the contents of the Qur'an. &#x0D; Keyword: Prominent Muslim, Hadith studies, Orientalism, Darus Sunnah, Essay Ulama, Indonesia&#x0D; &#x0D; Studi hadis di Indonesia terlihat masih jarang, kalau tidak dikatakan sangat langka. Hal ini menimbulkan banyak sekali persoalan di tengah-tengah masyarakat Muslim tentang penggunaan hadis-hadis palsu (maudhû’), semi palsu (matrûk), dan lemah (dha’īf), atau mengklaim halhal yang bukan hadis sebagai hadis Nabi. Artikel ini mencoba mengulas latar belakang keilmuan, sumber gagasan pemikiran, dan kontribusi ilmiah Prof. Dr. Kiai Ali Mustafa Yaqub, MA terhadap perkembangan kajian hadis di Nusantara. Tulisan ini beranggapan bahwatidak mudah menemukan orang yang dapat disebut sebagai seorang muhaddis (ahli hadis) dalam arti terminologis. Padahal, hadis adalah sumber otoritas kedua (secondary resources) dalam agama Islam setelah Al-Qur’an.     “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

    Berbicara tentang kajian Hadis di Indonesia, yang mana di dalamnya berkaitan dengan pemikiran Ali Mustafa Ya’qub dalam mencari kebeneran untuk dijadikan hadis sebagai dalil yang memperkuat keyakinan dalam kehidupan, ternyata sampai hari ini masih relevan untuk dibahas dan diteliti. Kajian tersebut tidak terpisahkan dengan proses kajian yang ada di Timur Tengah. Kegiatan mengkaji Hadis di Indonesia belum banyak terlihat ditengah masyarakat dengan minimnya minat dalam bidang tersebut. Kajian Hadis yang telah ada di Indonesia dalam taraf perkembangannya yang semakin membuahkan hasil sejak awal abad ke 19, dilihat dari beberapa karya yang dihasilkan oleh beberapa akademisi dalam bidang Hadis sebagai bukti keberhasilan tersebut. Ali Mustafa Ya’qub adalah salah satu tokoh yang sampai sekarang masih memiliki pengaruh besar kepada masyarakat Islam Indonesia dalam kebergamannya, terutama dalam kajian Hadis. Beliau terkenal tegas dan kritis dalam menghadapi perkara yang melenceng dari kebenaran. Skripsi ini membahas tentang Kajian Hadis Di Indonesia yang mana terfokus kepada (Studi Pemikiran Prof. Dr. Ali Mustafa Ya’qub). Kajian ini berbentuk penelitian kepustakaan (library research), adapun sumber utama (Primary Resources) penelitian berasal dari buku-buku yang ditulis Ali Mustafa. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif, data-data yang telah dikumpulkan dari beberapa sumber, diseleksi dan dirangkaikan kedalam hubungan-hubungan yang sesuai dengan kenyataan. Sehingga membentuk pemahaman-pemahaman yang kemudian disatukan dalam bentuk penulisan deskriptif. Dalam menganalisa data menggunakan metode deskriptif historis. Adapun metode dalam mengambil kesimpulan menggunakan metode deduktif. Ali Mustafa Ya’qub dalam menghadapi hadis-hadis yang tersebar di tengah-tengah masyarakat yang mana Ali Mustafa menerapkan aspek tekstual dan aspek kontekstual, karena kedua hal ini dianggap berkaitan dalam hal proses kajian Hadis. Menurutnya, apabila sebuah Hadis tidak dapat dipahami dengan cara tekstual, maka harus dipahami dengan cara kontekstual, yaitu dengan melihat aspek-aspek di luar lafaz (teks) itu sendiri. Namun beliau lebih cendrung menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual dalam kajian Hadis di luar hal yang memiliki kaitan dengan perkala ghaib (al-Umur al-Ghaibiyyah) dan ibadah murni (al-‘Ibadah al-Mahdhah)

Ara t rman n verileri yüzde, frekans, tek faktörlü Anova ve Khi-kare testleri ile analiz edilmi tir. Ara t rman n sonucunda ö retmenlerin bilgisayar tutum puanlar ile tablet bilgisayarlar destekleme durumlar aras nda anlaml bir fark görülmü tür. Benzer ekilde ö retmenlerin tablet pc'yi destekleme durumlar mezuniyet bran na göre de anlaml farkl l k göstermektedir. Ö retmenler tablet bilgisayarlar n en önemli dezavantajlar n ise "a) Ö renciler tablet bilgisayarlar çok çabuk bozabilir ve b) Tablet bilgisayarlar n yayd radyasyon göz vs. sa l a zarar verebilir" eklinde ifade etmi tirThis study was conducted to investigate views of science and technology teachers about tablet computer project of Ministry of National Education in terms of different variables.Descriptive survey method was used in the research. The sample of this study consisted of 120 science and technology teachers who worked in Erzurum city center in 20011 2012 academic year. The data were obtained by using Tablet Pc questionnaire form which was developed by Uzo lu & Bozdo an (2012) and Computer Attitude Scale which was developed by Bindak and Çelik (2006). The data were analyzed via SPSS by utilizing frequency, percentages, arithmetic mean, ANOVA and Chi-Square test. The result of the study was showed that between science and technology teachers PC Attitude score with support the using of tablet PC in schools was a significant difference statistically.Similarly, the status of support tablet PC of teachers also showed significant differences according to branch of graduation. In addition, according to preservice science teachers, the most important advantages of tablet PCs using in science and technology courses a) science and technology courses can more fun with visuals and animations and b) students interest can increase in science and technology courses were expressed. They were also expressed the most disadvantages of tablet PCs using in science and technology courses a) social interaction can reduce among the students and b) The radiation of tablet PC spread may give harm to health such as eyes etc

    Exploring Emptiness: An Investigation of MA and MU in My Sonic Composition Practice

    The commentary investigates Japanese aesthetics of space, silence and emptiness - ma and mu - that informed my compositional practice during the research period 2012 - 2015. The portfolio comprises text compositions and sound installations in which forms of micro events and sustained events are employed. Throughout, the emphasis is on my personal engagement with, and manifestation of emptiness that concerns a particular model of listening and perception. Chapter 1 discusses six primary research areas: ma and mu, material, text, form, listening and perception. Firstly, I introduce ma and mu by examining noh culture and Zeami's teaching of senu hima (where there is no-action) in the context of my personal approaches to music. The following subjects are then used to contextualise my PhD practice by means of examples from various composers and visual artists. Here, these particular and enigmatic concepts are explored through Japanese art as well as Western contemporary works by Alvin Lucier, Eliane Radigue and those of the Wandelweiser collective. Part 2 provides contextual commentaries on selected compositions from the portfolio that mostly articulate my aesthetics in relation to the topics covered in Chapter 1. koso koso addresses my methodologies to investigate the essence of senu hima, followed by treow that discusses my approach to materials and the importance of space. I move on to grade two and grade two extended in order to examine text scores, and then, look into Espèces d'espaces 03 and 04 as examples of musical forms that I employ. Finally, listening and perception are investigated through the compositions gnome and con.de.structuring. Throughout, I describe how my works explore emptiness as a result of my particular emphasis on listening over composing

    The construction of Karen Karnak: The multi-author-function

    This thesis is situated within the comparatively recent developments of Web 2.0 and the emergence of interactive WikiMedia, and explores the mode of authorship within a Read/Write culture compared to that of a Read/Only tradition. The hypothesis of this study is that the role of the audience has become merged with the author, and as such, represents new functions and attributes, distinct from a more conventional concept of authorship, in which the roles of audience and author are more separate. Read/Write and participatory culture, as defined by this study, is focused on collaboration, and includes the influences of D.I.Y. culture, Open-Source practices and the production of text by multiple authors. Multi-authorship presents a re-thinking of several concepts which support the notion of the individual author, since the focus of multi-authorship is not on attribution and ownership of a finished text, but on the continued malleability of a text. Modes of multi-authorship, demonstrated in the use of the pseudonyms Alan Smithee and Karen Eliot, represent declarative authors whose names signify multiple origins, whilst concurrently indicating a distinct body of work. The function of these names form an important context to this study, since primary research involves the construction of an experimental mode of multi-authorship utilising WikiMedia technology and the interaction of thirty nine participants, who are invited to create a body of work under the collective pseudonym Karen Karnak. The data generated by this experiment is analysed using aspects of Michel Foucault's author-function to identify and determine power structures inherent in the WikiMedia context. The interplay of power structures, including concepts such as identity, ownership and the body of work, affect the resulting mode of authorship and contribute to the construction of Karen Karnak, suggesting further areas of research into the emerging multi-author
