The choices of Sheikh Mustafa Al-Zarqa in physical warships
No full textThis thesis is entitled: "The choices of Sheikh Mustafa Al-Zarqa in physical warships".
Due to Sheikh Mustafa al-Zarqa's scholarly position and as he is considered a diligent scholar and contemporary jurist, this study dealt with the jurisprudential choices of Sheikh Mustafa al-Zarqa, and the opinions and preferences that he issued in the section on physical acts of worship, in comparison with the four jurisprudential schools. He rose through his choices, his approach of renewal in Fatwa (ruling or interpretation in Islam), considering the ease and tolerance of Islamic Sharia (low), and his distance from sectarian fanaticism was clearly demonstrated, with the great reverence for previous jurists.
The study consisted of five chapters. The first chapter came with a comprehensive translation on Sheikh Mustafa Al-Zarqa, and a statement of his method in the fatwa. Then came the second chapter to discuss Sheikh Al-Zarqa's choices in the chapter on tahara (purification), and it contains two issues: purification and its effect on abolishing ablution, and the blood that women see after menopause. The third chapter talks about the choices of Sheikh Mustafa Al-Zarqa in prayer section, and it contains four issues: the times of prayer and fasting in the areas near the pole, Friday prayers in a factory outside the city, Muslims praying in a language other than Arabic, and covering the head of the Khatib (preacher). As for the fourth chapter, it talked about the choices of Sheikh Mustafa Al-Zarqa in the section of fasting, and it includes two issues: establishing seeing the crescent by astronomical calculation, and the difference of the sightings and its effect on establishing seeing the crescent of Ramadan. The fifth chapter ended with an examination of Sheikh Mustafa al-Zarqa's choices in the section of Hajj, and it contains five issues: the timing of Ihram for the one coming by plane, the time for stoning Jamarat al-Aqaba, the times for stoning Jamarat during the days of al-Tashreeq, and the arrangement between the actions of the Day of Sacrifice, and the smaller
decomposition, and on what it depends. Each of the issues was singled out by a single request that included the choice of Al-Sheikh Al-Zarqa, with mention of the evidence on which he relied on his judgement.
The thesis ended with the most important results, including: highlighting the clear scientific method of Sheikh Mustafa Al-Zarqa in his fatwas and jurisprudential research, where the Sheikh's lack of intolerance to his Hanafi school of thought was evident, and this was evident in his disagreements with many of the opinions of the Hanafi school, so his choices were based on rooting and subtraction, taking into account the shari text, and the purposes of the sharia and the interests of the people.
The researcher recommends students of shari science to pursue the study of the jurisprudential choices of Sheikh Mustafa al-Zarqa in the various sections of jurisprudence, and to direct scholars who who seek knowledge to pay attention to the opinions of scholars and their choices, and to show them to people, as this is the least duty we do towards the heirs of the prophets

A thesis submitted in conformity with the requirements for the degree of Master's in Health Sciences Graduate Department of Institute of Medical Sciences, University of Toronto 2008. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and psoriatic arthritis (PsA) are immune diseases that are influenced genetically and environmentally. We used geographic information systems (GIS), to map SLE and PsA in Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Using the cumulative number of observed cases of SLE or PSA diagnosed between January 1st 1965 to June 30th 2007 and excluding patients younger than 10 years and older than 69 years, and dividing by the general population age-sex match group; we calculated age-sex-GTA region observed incidence rates. These rates were then used to compute expected incidence rates for each census tract of the general population in the GTA and maps were produced. This is the first study to use GIS to map SLE and PsA in a defined geographic area. We developed a methodology to compute expected age-sex incidence maps of SLE and PsA in a defined geographic area.M.H.S

No full textThe article discusses the novel 2025. An-Nida al-Akhir [2025. The Last Call] written by a young Egyptian journalist and writer born in 1982 - Mustafa al-Husayni. The novel was published in early 2011, between the fall of Zayn al-Abidin Ibn Ali in Tunisia and of Husni Mubarak in Egypt. It describes a revolution against the regime of Jamal al-Mubarak, son of Husni, spurred by a group of young Egyptians. The story takes place in 2025 and anticipates the development of the political situation in Egypt and the Middle East between 2011 and 2025 in a utopian/dystopian manner. Alongside Utopia by Ahmad Khalid Tawfik and the poetry of Usama al-Abnubi and Abd ar-Rahman al-Abnudi, al-Husayni’s book is considered to be a forecast of the Arab Spring in Egypt

No full textتناولت هذه الرسالة "اختيارات الشيخ مصطفى الزرقا في الزكاة"، فبينت مكانة الشيخ العلمية، وآرائه واختياراته الفقهية ودراستها في باب الزكاة، مقارنة مع المذاهب الفقهية الأربعة، فبرز من خلال اختياراته الفقهية مراعاته يسر وسماحة الشريعة الإسلامية، ومنهجه في التجديد في الفتوى.
وقد اشتمل الفصل الأول على نبذة عن حياة الشيخ مصطفى الزرقا، ببيان اسمه ونسبه، ومذهبه، وولادته، ونشأته، ومسيرته العلمية، وأعماله ووظائفه، ومن ثم إظهار آثاره الأدبية والعلمية، وإبراز أهم شيوخه وتلاميذه، وخُتم ببيان منهجه الاجتهادي في الفتاوى الفقهية، ووفاته.
أما الفصل الثاني فقد احتوى على اختيارات الشيخ الزرقا في زكاة الأسهم والمستغلات وعروض التجارة، وفيه ثلاثة مباحث: تحدثت في المبحث الأول عن حكم زكاة الأسهم، أما المبحث الثاني عن حكم زكاة العمارات وآلات المصانع (المستغلات)، والمبحث الثالث منه تحدثت فيه عن حكم زكاة عروض التجارة الكاسدة، و احتوى الفصل الثالث على اختيارات الشيخ الزرقا في زكاة الديون، وقسمته إلى مبحثين: الأول حكم زكاة الديون، وأما الثاني فكان عن حكم إسقاط الدّين عن مدين معسر واعتباره من الزكاة، بينما اشتمل الفصل الرابع والأخير على اختيارات الشيخ الزرقا في زكاة الفطر بالقيمة وزكاة الرواتب الشهرية، وقسمته إلى مبحثين: الأول حكم إخراج زكاة الفطر بالقيمة، والثاني حكم زكاة الرواتب الشهرية للموظفين.
وختمت الرسالة ببيان أهم النتائج، ومنها: إبراز المنهج العلمي للشيخ الزرقا، والذي امتاز بالتيسير والوضوح، مبتعدًا عن التعصب المذهبي، فعلى الرغم من كون الشيخ من فقهاء المذهب الحنفي، إلا أنه خالفهم في العديد من المسائل، حيث وافق الشيخ مذهبه في ثلاثة مسائل وخالفهم في أربع مسائل من المسائل الواردة فيها.
وتوصي الباحثة طلاب العلم الشرعي بمتابعة دراسة الاختيارات الفقهية للشيخ مصطفى الزرقاء في أبواب الفقه الإسلامي المتبقية؛ لتكون موسوعة فقهية يستفيد منها طلبة العلم الشرعي.
This thesis through the book Fatwa Al-Zarqa a comparative jurisprudential study, showed the Sheikh’s scientific status, his jurisprudential opinions, and choices and studying them in the chapter on zakat, compared with the four schools of jurisprudence, He emerged through his jurisprudential choices, taking into account the ease and tolerance of Islamic Sharia, and his approach to renewal in the fatwa.
The first chapter included an overview of Sheikh Mustafa Al-Zarqa life, his name, lineage, sect, birth, upbringing, career, his literary and scientific effects, highlighting his most important elders and students, and concluded with a statement of his jurisprudential approach in jurisprudential fatwas, and his death.
The second chapter contained Sheikh Al-Zarqa’s choices regarding zakat on shares, expropriated goods and trade offers, and in it there are three sections: I spoke in the first section about the rule of zakat on shares, while the second topic deals with the rule of zakat on buildings and factory machinery (assets), and the third topic of it I talked about the rule of zakat Offers of stagnant trade, and the third chapter contained Sheikh Al-Zarqa’s choices regarding zakat on debts, and divided it into two sections: the first was the ruling on zakat on debts, and the second was about the ruling on dropping debt from an insolvent debtor and considering it as zakat, while the fourth and final chapter included Sheikh Al-Zarqa’s choices in zakat Al-Fitr by value and zakat on monthly salaries, and divided it into two sections: the first is the ruling on paying zakat al-Fitr in value, and the second is the ruling on zakat on monthly salaries for employees.
The thesis concluded the most important results, including: highlighting the scientific method of Sheikh Al-Zarqa, which was characterized by facilitation and clarity, moving away from sectarian fanaticism. Although the sheikh is one of the jurists of the Hanafi doctrine, he disagreed with them on four issues, as the sheikh agreed with his doctrine on two issues.
The researcher recommends that students of Islamic jurisprudence continue studying the jurisprudential choices of Sheikh Mustafa Al-Zarqa in the remaining chapters of Islamic jurisprudence. To be an encyclopedia of jurisprudence that students of Islamic sciences benefit from
