Career development can be realized if planned properly, there are opportunities for promotion, motivational support is carried out by the leadership, awards, opportunities for growth and promotion for an employee Career development has an influence relationship with Employee Performance Employee performance can be measured and realized in the target achieved maximally with the support of the ability to complete the work carefully and good cooperation is established in the supervision of the help each other in overcoming various problems and difficulties in an atmosphere family and the support of colleagues in working in implementing determined decisions. Career development has an influence relationship with employee performance at the Buru District Food Security Service. How big is the relationship and The significance of career policy on performance is the aim of this study. The research was carried out at the Food Security Office of Buru Regency. Data sources are primary and secondary data. The analytical tool used is Linear Regression Simple Y= a + bx - e get the equation of function Y = 38.735-239X+...e The hypothesis which states that Career Development has an effect significant effect on employee performance at the Buru District Food  Security Service not accepted. Based on the hypothesis test (Parisial-t-test) t- hitmg>t-tb (0.486 < 1.73406) then the hypothesis is rejected and it is found that Career Development has an effect not significant to the performance of employees at the District Food Security Service Buru

Based on the description of the background above, the authors formulate the problem, namely a) Does the price affect the purchasing decision of the Buru Project Perumnas in the city of Namlea? and b) Does the location affect the purchasing decision of the Buru Project Housing Housing in Namlea City?. The research location in this writing is located in Namlea, the object of this research is the one occupying the Buru Project housing complex. Meanwhile, the research time the writer used to obtain the required data was 2 (two) months long. There are two sources of data, namely primary data and secondary data. The primary data source in this study is data obtained directly from the people living in the Buru National Housing Project. The data collection method, namely the interview method, is a way to obtain data by conducting direct interviews with respondents and leaders in order to obtain valid and reliable data. Furthermore, using the Questionnaire is a list of written questions that have been prepared beforehand. The population is a generalization area consisting of objects/subjects that have certain qualities and characteristics that are applied by researchers to be studied and then drawn conclusions.  &nbsp

SMA Negeri 3 is a favorite school in Waeapo District, Buru Regency, Maluku. There are several ethnic groups in the school environment at SMA Negeri 3, including the indigenous tribes, namely the Buru tribe and immigrant tribes such as Ambon, Southeast Maluku (especially Kei), Ambalau, Islands Sula (especially Sanana), Butonese, Bugis, Makassarese, Javanese, Sundanese. He also uses various languages, including Ambonese Malay dialect, Butonese, Bugis, Makassarese, Javanese, and also Sundanese. The general objectives of this study are: 1) to identify the influence of language attitudes of students at SMA Negeri 3 Waeapo, Buru district on the use of Indonesian in the Millennial Era; 2) revealing the positive and negative effects of the Language Attitudes of Students of SMA Negeri 3 Waeapo, Buru Regency on the Use of Indonesian in the Millennial Era. The type of research used in this research is a descriptive qualitative field research which examines linguistic phenomena. The data and data sources in this study are primary data and secondary data. The location of this research is SMA Negeri 3 Waeapo. The method of data collection was done through non-participating observation. The data collection technique was carried out through the free-of-conversation listening technique, recording technique, and note-taking technique. The data that has been classified is then analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the study are positive factors and there are negative factors from the use of the Ambonese Malay dialect. The positive factor is that students continue to use Ambonese Malay dialect which is a language loyalty and encourages people of a language to maintain their language, this is a language pride that encourages people to develop language and use it as a symbol of identity and community unity, as well as awareness of the existence of language norms that encourage people to use their language carefully and politely, so that students from the Javanese and Sundanese tribes are finally interested in using Ambonese Malay dialect. The negative factor is that the students who come from the Javanese tribe feel offended because they don\u27t know the meaning of the Ambonese Malay dialect which is known to be rough according to the Javanese people who are known to be smooth in speech

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    Get PDF
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the influence of personality type and knowledge on customer's decision to save at PT Bank Maluku branch Namlea.  Identify independent variables associated with the type of personality and knowledge while the dependent variable is the customer's decision, object of this research is PT Bank Maluku branch Namlea with population The research is customers who have savings deposits and current accounts and the number of samples is 175 customers and the analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study found that the three hypotheses were accepted, meaning that partially personality type had a positive effect on customer decisions, a value of 0.116 knowledge has a positive effect on customer decisions with a value of 0.250 and together personality type and knowledge have a statistical effect on customer decisions with a calculated F value of 2.675. Meaning that personality type and knowledge are significant explanations of customer decisions

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    Get PDF
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
