No full text
The concept of ‘Good and evil’ has remained solvable notion since inception of human intellect. The every individual uses terms i.e. good and evil, deeds and misdeeds and virtue and vice etc. in daily life. Firstly, philosophy of west is based on wisdom and fabric of society. Secondly, as for as Muslim philosophers are concerned they view good as a virtue for human being in all times especially past and present. The evil is termed to prove as the curse respectively. According to the Muslim philosophers sometimes wisdom may deceive human being but divine perception neither deceives nor utters any argument which is contrary to wisdom. Therefore, Muslim philosophers view the Islamic Law as the pivotal source along with the perception of wisdom to know good and evil. Islam advocates the comforts, ease and peace for humanity as a whole rather than only individual. It has always kept wisdom dependent upon revelation because all the times wisdom may not access to the reality

THE CONCEPT OF GOOD AND EVIL IN REVEALED AND NON-REVEALED RELIGIONS

Get PDF
In any religion or philosophy, good and evil keep central position. Human wants good and dislikes the evil by nature. In all religions of world everything which cause heart rending for human, it is evil and every work for world on which basis we get happiness, bliss and spiritual comfort that is “Good”. Islam advocates the comforts, ease and peace for humanity as a whole rather than only individual. It has always kept wisdom dependent upon revelation because all the times wisdom may not access to the reality. Islam has not changed its viewpoint with passage of time like other religions and followers of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism and Zoroastrianism respectively. Islam is the complete religion; Allah almighty has taken the responsibility of its protection therefore, it has been neither changed, amended nor it will be. The Muslim always only follows obligations those Allah has ordered them to obey

Nowadays electricity is a primary need for almost the entire human race. Electrical energy is very instrumental in our capability to carry out various economic activities. Electric energy can be produced from a variety of sources. Energy can be categorized into two kinds: energy that can be renewable and energy that cannot be renewed. Source of energy that cannot be renewed among others are derived from fossil and nuclear systems. Energy that can still be renewed among others derived from geothermal (solar energy), ocean waves, waterfalls, wind, etc. Source of energy that cannot be renewed; notably energy derived from fossil, are gradually becoming unsustainable because oil price are getting more expensive and the amount of energy are extracted from sources that are already depleted. Energy from the sun can be used for heating (solar thermal) or generate electricity (photovoltaic). Utilization of solar energy from solar photovoltaic plants as a source of electrical energy produces no pollution to the environment. The basic ingredient of photovoltaic system is solar cell. Installation of solar cells on a vessel can be used as energy source to be utilized in a variety of electrical equipments on the ship. Relatively abundance of sun energy that will never run out must be harvested because the sunshine exposure on the territory of Indonesia is around 10 to 12 hours daily. In this case, solar cells are used to meet the needs of the mechanical cooling equipments on board of the ferry that sails around the region of Indonesia. Expected usage from this solar energy source can reduce the usage of fossil fuels and resulted in considerable saving on the overall ferry operational costs

Addressing global issues like climate change requires transformative solutions, and the shipping industry is no exception. Moving towards emission-free ship design has become a critical need, offering a chance to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions from maritime transport. In 2018, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) adopted a bold strategy to cut these emissions by at least 50% by 2050. Embracing renewable energy sources like batteries, wind, solar, and hydrogen fuel cells is key to achieving this ambitious goal. While electric ships powered by batteries are pioneering the way, meeting the IMO's target will necessitate radical changes in future ship design. Here, Indonesia holds a unique advantage, the legacy of the Sriwijaya Empire renowned for its mastery of wind-powered ships, resonates with this emerging era of green shipping. Abundant sunshine, strong wind potential, and growing expertise in maritime engineering position Indonesia to become a leader in the development and deployment of sustainable ship designs. Harnessing these historical and contemporary strengths, Indonesia can play a pivotal role in revolutionizing the shipping industry. By fostering collaboration between policy makers, researchers, and shipbuilders, Indonesia can spearhead the transition to a future where cargo ships navigate the oceans propelled by the clean power of renewable energy, leaving behind a legacy of environmental stewardship and economic prosperity. This paper estimates the energy consumption and power needs of Container ships on short inter-island routes in Indonesia, with a particular focus on the potential application of batteries in such scenarios. The initial design utilizes similar vessel data collected from various locations around the world. Our findings indicate that a container ship operating on the Jakarta-Semarang route would require batteries with a capacity of 15.25 MWh, Semarang to Surabaya route would require 12.20 MWh batteries, from Surabaya-Tanjung Benoa Bali route required 15.25 MWh, from Tanjung Benoa Bali to Ujung Pandang route require 21.35 MWh batteries, all with a capacity of 1.5 MWh each and from Ujung pandang – Ibu Kota Nusantara require 18.3 MWh. These calculations assume normal sea and weather conditions and a design speed of 10 knots. Implementing battery-powered Containers on these routes reduces the CO2 emission into the air as long as the ship route operates
