Culture Influence in Political Communication
This study discusses "The Influence of Culture in Political Communication".The aim of this research is to understand the influence of the concept of culture on political communication and to strengthen our understanding of the causality involved in creating effective communication in creating a positive political culture. This research or library research, this research explores and understands the influence of Political Communication Culture. Library research is a series of activities related to methods of collecting library data, reading, and recording and managing library collection materials. The results showed that the influence of political communication culturetends to shift. Currently, by prioritizing democratization, the culture of political communication tends to be open, transparent, rational and can be conveyed through open ways. Keywords: Culture Influence; Political Communication

The Impact of Globalization on the Development of Political Communication in Indonesia
The purpose of this study the impact of globalization on the development of political communication in Indonesia as one of the countries affected by the use of social media. This study uses a literature review design, which is a research method used to systematically and explicitly synthesize a concept from previous research articles. The source of data in this research is by searching articles in several databases such as Garuda, EBSCO, IISTE , Social Sciences and Google Scholar. The results of the research show that Indonesia, which is currently a political issue, has become a political movement and communication has become a tool capable of channeling political messages (demands and support) to power for processing. Through the influence of digital media, the space for communication and political participation is increasingly open by increasing the possibility of interaction between important elements in it, namely parties and state institutions which are referred to as elites and citizens or non-elite, which means that currently the government is faced with a society that can gather strength together by fight for their interests. Through the formation of social networks that allow them to coordinate, open space for political debate , build interactive public spaces, mobilize and coordinate collective action. In addition, through the development of internet media, two-way communication has opened up which allows the delivery of aspirations to the government directly

The purpose of this study was to obtain an objective picture of the effect of communication in order to improve the performance of the employees of the Bone Regency Manpower Office. This study uses field research methods (field research), namely the method used by conducting research on the object under study with the method of interviewing, observation and documentation. The data source in this study were employees of the Bone Regency Manpower Office. The data that has been collected from the research results were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results showed that, 1). The conditions of the implementation of organizational communication in supporting the smooth implementation of tasks within the Bone Regency Manpower Office, 2). the effectiveness of the communication carried out, and what factors underlie its implementation. 3). the relationship between the implementation of communication with the smooth completion of organizational tasks
Jokowi in Political Contestation Towards 2024 Presidential Election
This research aims to analyze the political attitudes and strategies of Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in political contestation towards the 2024 Presidential Election through a semiotic approach to communication. This research examines further what the caricature of Koran Tempo version of Sokongan Bapak dan Partai Tetangga means. How the leadership and policies implemented by Jokowi affect the image and support of people who are backgrounded as active presidents. This research method uses the semiotic meaning analysis of Charles Sanders Pierce. The basis of this research is the political phenomena facing Jokowi, including the dynamics of political party competition, controversial issues, and public expectations of future leadership. The analysis also explores the potential global and regional impacts on domestic politics, as well as the role of social media in shaping public opinion related to Jokowi. The research is expected to contribute to a further understanding of political dynamics in Indonesia ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election, as well as providing an in-depth view of the political strategy that can be implemented by Jokowi to gain community support and face increasingly tight political competition
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
