A conceptual framework of transformational leadership as an influential tool in the team performance

Purpose of this paper is to identify the relationship between the transformational leadership approach and team performance, to analyze the existing literature that expresses the role of transformational leadership on team performance and to create a guideline for the leaders to increase their performance. Design/ Method/ Approach - To achieve the purpose of the study 86 articles and books were analyzed in terms of transformational leadership, team performance, and the relationship between these two concepts. Findings - Leadership is one of the essential words in today's organizational direction. Despite that, transformational leadership has excellent attention on leadership theory. A few numbers of researches are done on analyzing the relationship between transformational leadership and team performance. The findings show that transformational leadership remains the most crucial leadership style in improving team performance. Theoretical implications - This study's theoretical significance increases opinion and change of judgment for performance appraisal on the working life quality. Practical implications - The practical benefit of this study is that it provides a guideline for managers use the leadership style correctly to increase the performance of a team, and as a result their organization. Originality/ Value - The originality of the study is that no one researcher before has analyzed the relationship between transformational leadership and team performance, like this study, which includes analyzing the existing literature over 50 years of research made on this topic by numerous researchers. Research limitations/ Future research - The projections for further research are to analyze the relationship between the transformational leadership approach and team performance, add other dimensions, and measure their common effects on such relationship. Paper type - theoretical

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND DIGITAL LEADERSHIP: MAPPING RESEARCH TRENDS AND THEMATIC PATTERNS

    No full text
Digital transformation has accelerated the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into organizational processes, reshaping leadership practices across industries. Therefore, this study utilizes bibliometric analysis to examine the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence in leadership research. This study conducts a bibliometric analysis of 60 articles retrieved from the Dimensions.ai database (2019–2025*), utilizing the Bibliometrix package in RStudio. The study provides essential insights by examining publishing trends, prominent authors and sources, thematic developments, and collaboration networks, and trending topics within AI and leadership. The findings illustrate that the publishing trends revealed a significant and rapid growth in research output over the years. Moreover, the analysis of prominent authors and sources highlights the most influential works that have had a substantial impact on the field. Thematic mapping identifies six significant research clusters, with “AI, leadership, and digital transformation” serving as a motor theme. Collaboration networks uncover limited but growing international collaboration, with the United States and China exhibiting the most robust partnerships. Furthermore, trending keywords such as “artificial intelligence,” “leadership,” and “digital transformation” indicate ongoing research interest and signal directions for future research. This study not only maps the existing knowledge structure but also offers valuable insights that can inspire future research directions regarding the evolving role of leadership in the age of artificial intelligence

Do training and development, internal communication and information sharing, and job design boost the innovation of SMEs?

    No full text
How can we increase the level of innovation in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs)? Can improving internal organizational culture through Human Resource Management (HRM) methods boost the innovativeness of SMEs? These are some of the questions that currently preoccupy us. The aim of this paper is to measure the effect of three HRM strategies such as, training and development (T&D), internal communication and information sharing (C&I), and job design (JD) on SMEs innovation. To realize this study, a quantitative approach was employed, utilizing self-administered questionnaires. The data collected from 153 manufacturing SMEs that operate in Kosovo underwent hierarchical linear regression analysis to test, examine, and refine the relationship between T&D, C&I, JD, and SME innovation. The findings reveal a clear and direct relationship between each of these three practices and innovation in SMEs. The findings highlight the significance of fostering creative employees through specific HRM strategies. This study makes a substantial contribution to the current knowledge by providing insights into the intricate relationship between T&D, C&I, and JD (considered from both bundle and single perspectives) and innovation within SMEs

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods

    koamabayili/VECTRON-author-checklist: VECTRON author checklist

We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
