No full textRice is a food source of energy as well as a staple food for most people, although now many people are starting to replace carbohydrates from rice with other staple foods such as potatoes, corn, sago and wheat. The aim of this research is to determine the form of local cultural wisdom "NGAROT" in the Gede Wangi rice farming business and to determine the income of farmers in the Gede Wangi rice farming business. The analytical method used in this research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative descriptive approach. The research results show that the income received by rice farmers is rice that has been milled by the respondent farmers themselves. Ngarot culture is one of the Indonesian traditional cultures, specifically in Sumedang Regency, which is still maintained and is closely related to the Sumedang Palace or the Sumedang Larang Kingdom. Ngarot culture is a community belief that they must bury buffalo heads after harvesting. Burials are carried out in the hope of bringing good things to the area and future harvests. In the midst of the rapid development of the times, local culture Ngarot was able to produce 28,800 kg of rice from 10 respondent farmers with an average cultivated land area of 5,894 m², with a selling price of rice of IDR 5,500.-/ Kg. The revenue (TR/Total Revenue) received from rice farming was IDR 158,400,000. So it can be concluded that the Gede Wangi rice farming activities provide benefits for farmers, so this rice farming is worth developing

No full textIndonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is an anti-graft organization established in 2003 that plays a vital role in preventing and eradicating corrupt practices in Indonesia. Ironically, KPK Chairman 2019–2023, Firli Bahuri, was named a corruption suspect on November 22, 2023. The incident of naming the KPK Chairman as a suspect by the police caused conflict between KPK and the Police Department and attracted the media’s attention. This article aims to discover how DetikCom, Kompas.com, and Tempo.co, produce texts and discourses of resistance by the KPK Chairman against being named a suspect. Researchers also tried to uncover the ideology and interests of the media in the production of corruption discourse in Indonesia based on the external context of media and politics in Indonesia. The author used the text analysis method with Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis to analyze 18 media texts. The researcher found that the resistance discourse packaged by Detikcom online media tends to support the law enforcement narrative by providing more space for the Police Department to convey evidence and processes carried out. Kompas.com emphasizes that Firli has the right to file a pretrial and that the legal process must be respected, giving the impression that the media respects Firli’s legal rights. Tempo.co emphasized the case’s legal aspects and processes, including Firli Bahuri’s pretrial submission. At the sociocultural level, there is a relationship between corruption cases in Indonesia, government policies, and public responses to the conflict discourse over the KPK chairman
The use of representative speech act on JCS - criminal psychology ‘Travis Alexander Murder Case’.

People's everyday lives are heavily reliant on communication. To communicate, people need a tool called language. When it comes to expressing, people do not just say something when they have an idea; they also act on it through their actions. Those expressions are called speech act. Representative speech act is one part of learning speech acts. Where this speech act is an act that commit the speaker to believe about something is true or not. Therefore, the writer feels interested and needs to do research on this topic with a research question: What are the types of representative speech act used on JCS - Criminal Psychology ‘Travis Alexander Murder Case’. Second is how is the representative speech act conveyed by the speaker. This research used descriptive qualitative methods and the theory of John R. Searle (2014) to analyze the data. Based on data analysis, the findings showed that the types of representative speech acts in Travis Alexander Murder Case videos were stating (14 data), reporting (30 data), concluding (7 data), suggesting (5 data), and complaining (8 data). Besides, there were found 55 data which were conveyed directly, and 9 data which were conveyed indirectly. From the findings of data analysis, it is concluded that among the five types of representative speech act, reporting directly is the dominant type used in the ‘Travis Alexander Murder Case’ youtube video. This type is the most dominant, because the video made by author of this video is a video that comments or tells the audience what is happening on the screen and how the narrator responds to the situations or actions that appear on the screen.

Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, masyarakat sangat bergantung pada komunikasi. Untuk berkomunikasi, manusia membutuhkan alat yang disebut bahasa. Dalam hal mengekspresikan, orang tidak hanya mengatakan sesuatu ketika mereka memiliki ide; mereka juga bertindak melalui tindakan mereka. Ekspresi itu disebut tindak tutur. Tindak tutur representatif merupakan salah satu bagian dari pembelajaran tindak tutur. Yang dimana tindak tutur ini adalah tindak tutur yang membuat penutur meyakini sesuatu itu benar atau ridak. Oleh karena itu, penulis merasa tertarik dan perlu melakukan penelitian tentang topik ini dengan pertanyaan penelitian: Apa saja jenis-jenis tindak tutur representatif yang digunakan pada JCS - Criminal Psychology ‘Travis Alexander Murder Case’. Kedua, bagaimana tindak tutur representatif yang disampaikan oleh penutur. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan teori John R. Searle (2014) untuk menganalisis data. Berdasarkan analisis data, temuan menunjukkan bahwa jenis tindak tutur representatif dalam video ‘Travis Alexander Murder Case’ adalah menyatakan (14 data), melaporkan (30 data), menyimpulkan (7 data), menyarankan (5 data), and mengeluh (8 data). Selain itu ditemukan 55 data yang disampaikan secara langsung, dan 9 data yang disampaikan secara tidak langsung. Dari temuan analisis data, disimpulkan bahwa di antara lima jenis tindak tutur representatif, pelaporan secara langsung adalah jenis yang dominan digunakan dalam video youtube ‘Travis Alexander Murder Case’. Jenis ini adalah yang paling dominan, karena video yang dibuat oleh pembuat video ini adalah video yang berkomentar atau memberi tahu penonton tentang apa yang terjadi di layar dan bagaimana narator menanggapi situasi atau tindakan yang muncul di layar tersebut

Logika hukum memegang peranan yang sangat penting dalam proses penegakan hukum yang bertujuan untuk mencapai kebenaran dan keadilan dalam sistem peradilan. Dalam sistem peradilan formal Indonesia, logika hukum digunakan untuk menginterpretasi hukum secara konsisten dan rasional, yang pada gilirannya mempengaruhi keputusan-keputusan yang diambil dalam penyelesaian perkara. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran logika hukum dalam memastikan penerapan hukum yang adil dan rasional, dengan memperhatikan prinsip-prinsip kebenaran dan keadilan. Dalam pembahasan ini, penulis mengeksplorasi bagaimana logika hukum diterapkan dalam sistem peradilan pidana, penerapan teori hukum, serta konsep restorative justice dalam menyelesaikan kasus-kasus hukum.

Abstract

In the formal judicial system of Indonesia, legal logic is used to interpret the law consistently and rationally, which in turn influences the decisions made in the resolution of cases. This article aims to examine the role of legal logic in ensuring the fair and rational application of the law, while considering the principles of truth and justice. In this discussion, the author explores how legal logic is applied in the criminal justice system, the application of legal theories, and the concept of restorative justice in resolving legal cases.

The purpose of the research conducted by the author is to get the results of a study on job satisfaction, get the results of a study on motivation, and get the results of a study on the performance of the lecturers of TEDC Polytechnic Bandung. This study used a descriptive method using the Slovin formula to get the sample. Data processing was performed by multiple regression analysis and hypothesis testing. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of job satisfaction on performance. There is a significant effect of motivation on performance. There is a significant effect simultaneously of job satisfaction and motivation on TEDC Bandung Polytechnic lecturers' performance.Keywords: Job Satisfaction, Motivation, Performanc
