By the time the Knights came to Malta in 1530, they had evolved into a highly efficient naval force. In this article the author describes the training provided to the surgical students of the Order of St. John. Peralatan membaca untuk golongan kurang penglihatan / Jasmin Nisya Mohd Rodi
Selaras dengan perkembangan teknologi pada masa kini, pelbagai peisian telah wujud untuk menolong golongan yang mempunyai masalah penglihatan. Tetapi perisian yang membantu golongan ini untuk: membaca dalam teks Bahasa Malaysia belum wujud.Disebabkan itulah, mendorong saya untuk menerima tajuk ini sebagai tajuk Latihan Ilmiah I saya. Perisian ini akan dibangunkan oleh saya dan rakan saya iaitu, Nor Diyaana Muhammad Ramli. Kami bersama-sama menjalankan kajian mengenai masalah serta kekangan yang dihadapi oleh golongan ini. Projek ini dijalankan adalah untuk memenuhi keperluan projek Latihan Ilmiah I dan II. Perisian Peralatan Membaca bagi Golongan Kurang Penglihatan dalam Teks Bahasa Malaysia ini merupakan sebuah perisian yang dibangunkan untuk menolong golongan yang penglihatan terhad dapat menggunakan komputer semaksima yang mungkin untuk membaca. Secara amnya. pakej ini dibangunkan berdasarkan jadual pembangunan projek yang dirancangn. Perisian ini terdiri daripada beberapa modul, contohnya modul Fail, modul Sunting dan modul Bantuan. Perisian ini akan dibangunkan dengan menggunakan Microsoft Visual Basic 6.0 serta beberapa perisian terkini yang lain. Elemen yang perlu ada dalam perisian ini adalah sistem bunyi. Kami telah memilih perisian penyunting audio Sound Forge. Dalam menghasilkan projek ini kami telah memilih metodologi RAD (Rapid Application Development). Pengunaan metodologi ini amat sesuai kerana ia menyokong prototaip. Prototaip amat penting kerana ia mudah untuk dibetulkan jika terdapat sebarang ketidakpuasahatian pengguna. Sepanjang menjalani projek ini saya amat berbesar hati kerana dapat menimba pengalaman yang sungguh bermakna. Pengembangan Buku Petunjuk Praktikum Kimia Anorganik 1 di Program Studi Pendididikan Kimia Jurusan Pendidikan MIPA Fakultas keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Sriwiwjaya.
Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Development Research) yang ditujukan untuk mengembangkan Buku Petunjuk Praktikum Kimia Anorganik 1 yang valid, praktis dan memiliki efektivitas untuk pembelajaran Praktikum Kimia Anorganik 1 pada mahasiswa Program studi Pendidikan Kimia Jurusan Pendidikan MIPA FKIP Unsri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian pengembangan produk ADDIE yang dimodifikasi dengan Tessmer. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar validasi, lembar angket, dan data nilai pre dan post test. subjek expert review terdiri dari ahli content, desain dan pedagogik, sedangkan subjek ujicoba kepraktisan adalah maha siswa yang mengambil mata kulian Kimia naorgani 1 di p;rodi pendidikan kimia kelas Palembang. validasi draft menghasilkan prototype 1 dikategorikan sangat valid dengan skor validasi content 3,60 (sangat valid), validasi pedagogik 3,5 (sangat valid) dan validasi desain 3,50 (Sangat valid). Pada ujicoba One to one diperoleh nilai kepraktisan sebesar 3,27(sangat praktis) untuk prototype 1 yang kemudian menjadi prototype 2, yang selanjutnya diujicoba small group diperoleh nilai 3,31 (sangat praktis). prototype 3 pada uji field test diperoleh nilai keefektifan sebesar 0,53 (sedang). Hasil peneltian di dapatkan buku petunjuk praktikum kimia anorganik 1 untuk pembelajaran mahasiswa program studi pendidikan kimia jurusan pendidikan MIPA FKIP Unsri adalah valid, praktis dengan tingkat efektivitas kategori sedang

The statue base, found in Rhodes and belonging to the second/first century BC, preserves verses 454-9 of Aristophanes’ Frogs headed by the name of the author in the genitive: it is the only known epigraphic example of a classical text introduced by its author’s name. The inscribed text is also significant for the textual tradition of the Frogs, since it confirms the reading of some ancient medieval manuscripts. The inscription was found near the ancient gymnasium, where a library has recently been identified: it suggests that the text belonged to an educational context. At the same time, the religious aspect is evident both in the inscribed verses and in the comparison with a dedication from the Rhodian Peraea made by gymnasiarchs to Helios. Hence, the inscription contributes to our knowledge of the cultural, educational and religious environment of the late Hellenistic age Rhodes
Bahasa Melayu dan konsep kebenaran ilmu berdasarkan pandangan Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas
The Malay language has been a medium of Islamic discourse for several hundred years, functioning among others, as the language of translation and interpretation of the Qur'an and Hadith, as well as the language of Islamic epistemology, ontology and legal edicts. However, the colonisation of the Malay world by western powers has been responsible in secularising the Malay mind and language. As a result, secular knowledge is now given importance whilst Islamic revealed knowledge is considered as religious knowledge only. This article begins with a discussion on the Islamisation of the Malays and Malay language based on Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas' theory which underlines two elements (1) the infusion of the elements of rational and sound reasoning, and (2) the transformation of the Malay language into an Islamic language, enriched with Islamic vocabulary, which functions as a discourse on Islamic knowledge in various literary genres. The article argues that, from the Islamic perspective, western secular knowledge has caused confusion in defining facts, data, knowledge and others in the Malay language
The Residual Strength Failure Sequence in Fibre Metal Laminates
The concept of damage tolerance is a key aspect in ensuring and maintaining safety of an airframe structure over its design life. Developments in materials and structural design have both contributed to improvements in the damage tolerance of modern aircraft structures. Indeed, new developments in metal alloys, composite materials, and hybrid materials such as the Fibre Metal Laminates (FMLs) have all resulted in structures less sensitive to damage and capable to withstand more severe loading conditions. Among other materials, FMLs represent a clear example of damage tolerant hybrid materials, made by bonding thin metal sheets together with fibres embedded in epoxy. Exploiting the damage tolerance capability of FMLs is strictly related to the ability to firstly understand the occurring failure mechanisms, and secondly to be able to accurately describe those mechanisms. In this light, the present dissertation describes the investigation on the residual strength failure sequence in FMLs, and presents the development of an accurate analytical prediction method. The failure sequence is studied in particular for standard Glare laminates, which are relevant laminates for applications in aircraft pressurized fuselages. The developed analytical method has been implemented into two numerical models, considering both through-the-thickness crack and fatigue crack configurations. The developed models are validated against a large number of experimental data, which are also presented in this thesis. The main concept in this dissertation is that the crack growth process in the metallic layers of an FML can be described with the Crack Tip Opening Angle concept (CTOA). This approach includes the contribution of the fibre layers (e.g. fibre failure and fibre bridging) and the associated quasi-static delamination growth. An introduction to FMLs and to all various Glare grades, lay-ups, and manufacturing processes is provided in chapter 2. Some current and future applications for aircraft structures are also discussed in that chapter. A qualitative description of the principal failure mechanisms occurring during the residual strength failure sequence is presented in chapter 3. Based on experimental observations, the metal crack growth mechanisms, permanent plastic deformation, fibre failure and static delamination growth are discussed. All these mechanisms are related to each other, and all contribute to the residual strength of the laminate. The development of the prediction models aimed to be a step forward with respect to previous relevant prediction models available in literature. Therefore, both empirical and analytical prediction models available in literature are presented and discussed in chapter 4. A critical evaluation of those models has pointed out their limitations in applicability and versatility towards a “generic FML” concept. From this chapter, some guidelines have been defined to address the subsequent model development. Two types of experimental activities were carried out. The first type consisted in experiments to gain understanding of the deformation behaviour of both metallic and fibre layers. Extensive use of Digital Image Correlation technique enabled to observe and measure the deformation field of both metal and fibre layers, and their interaction. Further insight into the fibre bridging mechanism and into the metal-fibre interaction was obtained. These experimental activities are discussed in chapter 5. The second type of experimental activities aimed to generate input data for the prediction model, and to validate the CTOA approach. These are discussed in chapter 6. A large amount of experimental CTOA tests were conducted on several FML grades to evaluate the CTOA as failure criterion for FML. This included the investigation of the effect of metal sheet thickness, crack length-to-panel width ratio and the effect of bridging fibres. Static delamination growth tests were conducted to obtain the critical Strain Energy Release Rate. This parameter was subsequently used as input in the prediction model to define the critical condition for the delamination growth. Furthermore, in the same chapter, it is also discussed the complex interaction between static delamination growth and plastic deformation of the metallic layers. The core aspect of the present thesis concerns the modelling of the residual strength failure sequence, which is presented in chapter 7. Two models are described: one for the through-the-thickness crack and one for the fatigue crack. Both models are based on the same method, which uses the CTOA as crack growth driving parameter. The method is based on the idea that crack extension in the metallic layers occurs when the calculated CTOA reaches the critical value obtained from CTOA experiments on metal laminates containing the same metal layers used in the FML. The calculated CTOA is a function of the contribution due to the far-field stress in the aluminium layers, and the contribution of the fibres. The fibre can contribute either in terms of crack opening contribution (broken fibres) or crack closing contribution (bridging fibres present in the fatigue crack configuration). Plastic deformation ahead and behind the metal crack tip is accounted and implemented into the calculation. In addition, in the case of fatigue crack configurations, the bridging stress is calculated by solving the deformation compatibility equation, accounting for the plastic zone ahead of the crack tip and fibre failure in the bridging area. The bridging stress is subsequently used to calculate the quasi-static delamination growth occurring at the fibre-metal interface using the Strain Energy Release Rate approach. The model for through-the-thickness crack showed a very good agreement with the experimental data, while the model for fatigue crack configuration showed sufficient agreement with experimental data. The modelling of the fatigue crack configuration presents higher degree of complexity, which required a number of simplifications and assumptions, making the model less robust than the one for through-the-thickness crack. Chapter 8 summarises the conclusions of the investigations. It can be concluded that with the proposed models, the mechanisms related to the residual strength failure sequence are fully described and characterized. The model for through-the-thickness crack is robust and validated, and can be extended to other material and geometrical configurations. VISUALISASI KESALEHAN KOMUNITAS DAN KOMODIFIKASI AGAMA DALAM INSTAGRAM HIJRAH FEST
Konsep hijrah di Indonesia mengalami pergeseran makna, dari yang semula dipahami sebagai perjalanan spiritual menuju transformasi diri, kini berkembang menjadi tren gaya hidup yang populer di kalangan komunitas Muslim urban. Salah satu contohnya adalah Hijrah Fest, sebuah acara keagamaan yang dikemas dalam bentuk festival dan secara aktif memanfaatkan Instagram untuk menyebarkan pesan-pesan dakwah. Melalui konten visual yang menampilkan figur publik dan ustaz milenial, Hijrah Fest membentuk citra kesalehan yang erat kaitannya dengan pilihan gaya hidup dan praktik komodifikasi simbol-simbol keagamaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana Hijrah Fest merepresentasikan kesalehan dan mengkomodifikasi agama melalui konten-konten Instagram-nya. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori religious commodification dari Pattana Kitiarsa yang memandang agama dalam kerangka budaya populer dan logika pasar. Secara metodologis, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode netnografi, melalui tiga tahapan pengumpulan data: investigasi, interaksi, dan emersi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya dua bentuk utama representasi kesalehan: kesalehan normatif dan kesalehan sebagai gerakan sosial. Representasi ini dimediasi oleh figur publik dan ustaz milenial untuk membangun keterlibatan emosional dan menarik partisipasi massa. Selain itu, kesalehan juga dikomodifikasi melalui simbol-simbol seperti busana halal dan produk gaya hidup. Figur publik berperan sebagai influencer keagamaan yang membentuk identitas Muslim kontemporer dalam konteks digital yang berorientasi pasar.

Hijrah Fest merupakan salah satu komunitas hijrah yang muncul dengan memberikan sebuah pengajian yang dikonsep dalam sebuah festival hijrah. Komunitas Hijrah Fest seringkali memanfaatkan media sosial Instagram dalam penyebaran dakwahnya, baik dari konten-konten yang berisi video atau kutipan dari beberapa ustaz milenial yang mewarnai dalam postingan media sosial mereka. Citra kesalehan yang ditampilkan dalam media sosial Instagram mereka sering kali memanfaatkan public figure sebagai model konten visual mereka, disisi lain konten tersebut terdapat makna tersirat yaitu komodifikasi keagamaan yang diproyeksikan dalam sebuah role model dari life style hingga produk makanan halal. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Komodifikasi Agama prespektif Pattana Kitiarsa yang melihat agama lebih mewarnai dalam konteks budaya populer khususnya dalam logika pasar. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan studi netnografi. Teknik pengumpalan data dilakukan dalam tiga tahapan, yaitu investigasi, interaksi dan imersi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwasanya terdapat beberapa temuan sebagai berikut. Pertama, citra kesalehan visual yang ditampilkan ada dua bentuk yaitu, kesalehan normatif dan kesalehan sebagai gerakan. Kesalehan tersebut kemudian dibangun dalam sebuah festival dengan memanfaatkan hadirnya public figure dan ustaz milenial untuk mendapatkan atensi masyarakat dalam proses pengumpulan masa. Kedua, kesalehan dikomodifikasi oleh para public figure untuk diproyeksikan terhadap kepentingan ekonomi mereka. Seorang muslim yang taat kepada ajaran agama digambarkan dengan berbagai rule model pakaian dan gaya hidup halal. Keterlibatan public figure dan ustaz milenial dalam komunitas Hijrah Fest secara tidak langsung menjadi wajah publik ataupun influencer dalam membentuk kesalehan masyarakat yang diwujudkan dalam sebuah gaya pakaian dan macam lainnya.

As for the business, we are providing a bar and gaming stations to the customer. We prepare the room for prayer. As with these facilities that we are providing it can attract young adult and stress workers to have a chill at our place for them to release their tension. The bar will provide more to snack foods, so that the customer will get sugar rush for them to spend a day in our place. We are starting out our business with the total capital of RM 52,900 by the partners that contribute RM 13,225 each person.
