The purpose of this research is to know the aspect of intertextuality and
education value study in novel Ayat-Ayat Cinta by Habiburrahman El Shirazy and
novel Kasidah-Kasidah Cinta by Muhammad Muhyidin.
The writer employs descriptive-qualitative by content analysis method. As
the subject are novel Ayat-Ayat Cinta by Habiburrahman El Shirazy and novel
Kasidah-Kasidah Cinta by Muhammad Muhyidin. The data sources are the
documents, there are novel Ayat-ayat Cinta and Kasidah-kasidah Cinta,
interview’s outcome with the informant. The techniques of data collection are the
depth interview with the informant and document analysis. The data validity uses
theory triangulation and data triangulation. The data analysis technique uses the
interactive analysis, that consist of three components; 1) data reduction, 2) data
presentation, and 3) conclusion.
That Result of research indicate that: (1) there is an interintrinsic element
relationship in novel Ayat-ayat Cinta and Kasidah-kasidah Cinta they are the
similarities of theme, plot, and message and the differences of characterization,
point of view, setting of place and time. (2) novel Ayat-Ayat Cinta by
Habiburrahman El Shirazy is the hypogram of novel Kasidah-Kasidah Cinta by
Muhammad Muhyidin. In the other word, Kasidah-kasidah Cinta is the
transformational text of Ayat-ayat Cinta. (3) The positiveness of Ayat-ayat Cinta
is having love theme and love scene, but delivered prettily, syar’i, and far from
vulgar impression, then the negativeness, Noura slanders Fahri by violating
accusation that can cause the major character get the capital punishment. The
positiveness of Kasidah-kasidah Cinta: in this novel, the writer success build the
plot and dreadful conflict, but the negativeness, Central Java used as story setting
in this novel, but cultural element of Java don’t too shown in this novel. (4) The
education value reflected in the novels are; religious value that there is prohibition
between man and woman together without muhrim; moral value, do not instigate
other person; social value, keep the harmony; esthetics value; the gorgeousness of
physic, metaphor, and diction choice.
Based on the result of this research can be concluded that a novel Ayat-
Ayat Cinta by Habiburrahman El Shirazy is the hypogram of novel Kasidah-
Kasidah Cinta by Muhammad Muhyidin. In the other word, Kasidah-kasidah
Cinta is the transformational text of Ayat-ayat Cinta.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aspek intertekstual dan
nilai pendidikan yang ada dalam novel Ayat-ayat Cinta karya Habiburrahman El
Shirazy dan novel Kasidah-kasidah Cinta karya Muhammad Muhyidin.
Penelitian ini berbentuk deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode content
analysis. Subjek penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah novel
yang berjudul Ayat-ayat Cinta karya Habiburrahman El Shirazy dan Kasidah-
kasidah Cinta karya Muhammad Muhyidin. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah
dokumen, yaitu novel yang berjudul Ayat-ayat Cinta dan Kasidah-kasidah Cinta,
serta hasil wawancara terhadap beberapa informan. Teknik pengumpulan data
yang digunakan interaktif dan noninteraktif. Uji validitas data menggunakan
teknik triangulasi teori dan triangulasi sumber data. Teknik analisis yang
digunakan adalah model analisis interaktif, yang dibagi menjadi 3, yaitu 1)
reduksi data; 2) penyajian data; dan 3) penarikan simpulan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat keterjalinan antarunsur
intrinsik dalam novel Ayat-ayat Cinta dan Kasidah-kasidah Cinta yang berupa
persamaan yang meliputi tema, alur, dan amanat serta perbedaan yang meliputi
penokohan, sudut pandang, latar tempat, latar sosial, dan latar waktu. (2) novel
Ayat-ayat Cinta karya Habiburrahman El Shirazy merupakan hipogram dan novel
Kasidah-kasidah Cinta merupakan teks transformasi dari novel Ayat-ayat Cinta.
(3) Kelebihan dari novel Ayat-ayat Cinta, yaitu novel ini bertemakan cinta dan
terdapat adegan asmara, tetapi disampaikan secara indah, syar’i, dan jauh dari
vulgar, sedangkan kekurangan dari novel Ayat-ayat Cinta, yaitu Fahri hampir
dihukum mati karena dituduh memperkosa Noura, hal tersebut sangat fatal bila
kebenaran tidak terungkap, sehingga tokoh utama bisa meninggal karena tuduhan
tersebut. Kelebihan dari novel Kasidah-kasidah Cinta, yaitu dalam novel ini
penulis berhasil membangun alur dan konflik yang mencekam, sedangkan
kekurangan dari novel Kasidah-kasidah Cinta, yaitu Jawa Tengah digunakan
sebagai setting cerita, tetapi unsur budaya Jawa tidak terlalu ditunjukkan dalam
novel ini. (4) Nilai pendidikan yang terdapat dalam novel Ayat-ayat Cinta dan
Kasidah-kasidah Cinta meliputi nilai religi, yaitu laki-laki dan perempuan
dilarang berdua tanpa adanya muhrim; nilai moral, yaitu janganlah suka
menghasut orang lain; nilai sosial budaya, yaitu menjaga kerukunan; nilai estetik,
yaitu keindahan fisik, majas, dan pilihan diksi.
Simpulan penelitian ini adalah novel Ayat-ayat Cinta karya
Habiburrahman El Shirazy merupakan hipogram dan novel Kasidah-kasidah
Cinta merupakan teks transformasi dari novel Ayat-ayat Cinta.

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan intertekstual dan nilai pendidikan dalam novel Ayat-ayat Cinta karya Habiburrahman El Shirazy dan Kasidah-kasidah cinta karya Muhammad Muhyidin. Penelitian ini berbentuk deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi. Sumber data menggunakan dokumen, yaitu kedua novel dan wawancara. Uji validitas menggunakan triangulasi data. Teknik analisis menggunakan model analisis mengalir, yaitu 1) reduksi data; 2) penyajian data; dan 3) simpulan. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa: (1) ada keterjalinan antarunsur intrinsik novel Ayat-ayat Cinta dan Kasidah-kasidah Cinta, yaitu persamaan yang meliputi tema, alur, dan amanat serta perbedaan, yaitu penokohan, sudut pandang, latar tempat, sosial, dan waktu. (2) novel Kasidahkasidah Cinta merupakan teks transformasi dari Ayat-ayat Cinta. (3) kedua novel memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases.
