The novel Putera Gunung Tahan by Ishak Haji Muhammad: a post-colonial reading
This article seeks to highlight a counter discourse to the dominant colonial discourse that posits European colonizers as superior to the colonised. Applying a post-colonial framework to Ishak Hj
Muhammad\u27s novel Putera Gunung Tahan, the analysis shows how Ishak manipulates his story to debunk firstly the colonial discourse of "going native" that renders as deranged colonisers who befriend "natives" or become intimate with them. The novel instead makes clear that Robert\u27s insanity is caused by the simple and straightforward application of a magic potion. Secondly, the article highlights Ishak\u27s contestation of the colonial discourse that represents "natives" as weak, wild, sexually rapacious and abnormal. Ishak portrays his protagonist, the colonised Ratu Bongsu, as clever, strong, normal and civilied, who successfully outsmarts William, rescues Mrs. William and marries her

Pemikiran Muhammad Abid Al-Jabiri Tentang Kedudukan Agama Dalam Negara
This study discusses the thoughts of Muhammad Abid Al-Jabiri about the position of
religion in the State which is a research on the thoughts of the figures. The method used
in this paper is a library research method using two sources, namely primary sources of
the main books of scientific works of figures and secondary sources of books related to
the title as supporters in the scientific work. In this study, three formulations of the
problem are presented so that they become a reference for the author, namely: First, how
is the relationship between religion and the state in historical times? Second, how is the
relationship between religion in the state according to Muhammad Abid Al-Jabiri's view?
Third, what are the weaknesses and strengths of Muhammad Abid Al-Jabiri's view? With
the three main issues above, it can be the formulation of the fundamental problem in this
research, so that it is found that the relationship between religion and the State in
historical times, from the time of the Prophet to Khulafaurrasydin, many policies are
taken that have a mutually beneficial relationship between religion and the State, will but
in the post-Khulafaurasyidin era, Islam experienced a setback like during the Umayyad
and Bani Abbas. Furthermore, during the Ottoman period European influences began to
enter and Mustafa Kemal began to throw away all those labeled as religion and develop a
Western way of life. He was the first to carry out massive Secularization. While the
relationship between religion and the State according to Muhammad Abid Al-Jabiri in
Islam religion is an individual matter so that the relationship between the individual and
God is a direct relationship without intermediaries. Separating religion from politics in
the sense of avoiding the functionalization of religion and political goals and the
consideration that religion is absolutely permanent while politics is relativ and changing.
Politics is driven by individual and group interests while religion must be cleaned of
political matters because of the Prophet Muhammad. since the early period of his da'wah
he had no desire to establish a state and there is no evidence to base this problem on,
either in the Hadith or in the narrations of the companions. Then about the weaknesses
and strengths of Muhammad Abid Al- Jabiri's thinking, not politicizing religion to gain
power, according to him, there are also Islamic values in democracy as well as criticism
of Arab practice politics which offers a useful concept to give direction to the ArabIslamic region in particular. and Muslims in general. Weaknesses in Al-Jabiri's opinion
are ahistorical practices in which statements are not clear and the references are inaccurate and he places the issue of religion as an individual matter. It is feared that
religion as an individual affair will deviate from the boundaries and moral values in
accordance with human nature regulated by religion., while humans make rules only by
their will
Digital multi angle illuminator: article / Muhammad Afiq Asyraf Ishak
Illuminance can be measured by Lux meter. It can measure light intensity for an area example for working area. Light intensity is important since it must be measured correctly to know is it enough for a person to work. The scope of study is to discover light spread from other angles from the ambient light and the value will be appearing on the LCD screen. A hexagon shape can be used to measure illuminance from 60°, 90°, 120° and 180°. The sensors that are used are photoresistor PGM1200 series. This sensor will transfer the light luminance to current signals by using a voltage divider circuit connected to an Arduino. Arduino is used to convert from an analogue signal to digital signal then will be displayed the value on the LCD as it has been programmed. The multi angle Lux meter is calibrated using HIOKI Lux hi tester 3421 as a reference. As a result, the Multi angle lux meter can measured up to 600 Lux and at side angle of the lux meter have different of Lux

Development of sugar palm-based products: a community project
The project described in Chapter 12 is concerned with the development of products from the sugar palm (Arenga pinnata) tree (locally known as Enau) under the UCTC-NBOS community grant funded by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia. This community project was carried out in collaboration with the Jawatan Kuasa Kemajuan dan Keselamatan Kampung (JKKK), Kampung Kuala Jempol, Bahau, Negeri Sembilan. Twelve products including sugar palm syrup, sugar palm sugar blocks, sugar palm granular sugars, sugar palm fruits, sugar palm vinegar, sugar palm starch and other sugar palm fibre-based products like brooms, general cleaning brushes, bottle cleaning brushes, ropes, raw fibres, and roofs have been developed. The main objective of this project was to help the community to develop and commercialize sugar palm products, which in turn will improve their socio-economic level. Knowledge transfers of various methods and technologies have been conducted through a series of demonstrations. Two of these products have been registered under trademarks and commercialization efforts have commenced. The community members were very excited with this project, as 'wastes' that are present around them have been converted into 'wealth'
