Dilapidation survey on property and infrastructure at Manjoi, Perak / Muhammad Fakhruddin Zulkefli
First of all, this practical training report is about building Dilapidation Survey. Dilapidation inspections are defined as an inspection and report on the condition of a property at a given point in time. It records any existing damage and the state of any particular aspects of the property that are likely to be affected by construction work, excavation or demolition.
This report contain 5 chapter that will discuss about the dilapidation survey. For Chapter 1, I introduce the profile of the company that I had intern which is Jasa Sendi (M) Sdn. Bhd that located at 15A, Jalan SG 3/16, Pusat Bandar Sri Gombak, Batu Caves, Selangor. Besides that, I also include the organization chart and any other information that is related to the company in chapter 1.
For Chapter 2, I will explain about building dilapidation survey in literature review. The building Dilapidation Survey is an inspection that need to be carry out on buildings or houses that are located adjacent or nearby to the construction site. Any proposal construction that have been approved must receive full building dilapidation report from building consultant before they can proceed the construction work.
For Chapter 3, I will discuss about the project that I had involved since I was in Jasa Sendi (M) Sdn. Bhd. The project that I had choose for my practical report is Building Dilapidation Survey at Manjoi, Perak. Beside that, I also explain how the building dilapidation survey works by following the procedure that Jasa Sendi (M) Sdn. Bhd. used.
For Chapter 4, I will discuss about problem and recommendation that I had faced during my internship and during my involvement in the building dilapidation survey at Manjoi, Perak. There are several problem that I and the staff faced during the inspection and we all managed it well until we all completed the dilapidation report

The spray application of agrochemical is effective but inefficient. Generally, the performance of the pesticides will be effective in consistence with the decrease of droplets sizes. The field study was carried out to compare pesticide equipment which are the conventional knapsack sprayer (CKS) and motorised mistblower. It was also carried out to discover the interaction of seedlings with systemic pesticide and non-systemic pesticide. This theory, as tested at the field experiment, was done with oil palm seedlings at the age of 5 months before the first culling process occurs. The pesticides application was performed once per month to eradicate pests and diseases in the oil palm nursery. The conventional knapsack sprayer was recorded to produce medium sized droplets (≥150 μm). Meanwhile, motorised mistblower was seen to produce fine sized droplets (≤150μm). A significant difference was identified when using the conventional knapsack sprayer and the motorised mistblower. However, there were no variances discovered between the use of systemic and non-systemic pesticide. The effectiveness of spraying application factors in the droplets size in order to find the correct choices and the best use of different pesticide equipment. The result of this study measures the number of oil palm seedlings that have been culled as indicators to make the comparison between conventional knapsack sprayer and motorised mistblower. The estimation of total loss and total cost per hectare were calculated to find the highest loss of oil palm seedling. Each seedling was recorded at a price of RM12.00

Wildcat merupakan salah satu komponen utama pada windlass
yang berfungsi untuk mengangkat atau menjatuhkan rantai yang terhubung
dengan jangkar. Ketika penulis melakukan praktik laut di Kapal MT.
Merbau P.37, ditemukan adanya masalah atau kendala pada bagian
wildcat, dimana wildcat mengalami keausan, sehingga windlass tidak
dapat beroperasi dengan maksimal pada saat proses heave up jangkar.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab
terjadinya keausan pada wildcat, mengetahui dampak yang ditimbulkan
dari keausan wildcat, dan untuk mengetahui upaya yang dapat dilakukan
ketika wildcat mengalami keausan.
Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode
deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui
observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka.
Berdasarkan hasil analisis, ditemukan bahwa faktor-faktor yang
mempengaruhi keausan wildcat meliputi perawatan yang tidak sesuai
Standard Operasional Procedure (SOP), penggunaan jangkar bagian kiri
secara terus menerus, bentuk wildcat, dan lingkungan. Adapun dampak
yang ditimbulkan dari ausnya wildcat adalah terhambatnya rantai jangkar
pada wildcat saat proses heave up, keterlambatan saat proses sandar di
dermaga, dan terbatasnya olah gerak kapal saat keadaan darurat. Upaya
yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi keausan wildcat pada windlass antara lain
dengan mengurangi tegangan pada rantai pada saat heave up jangkar dan
penambahan stripper bar.
Guna meminimalisir keausan wildcat pada windlass di kapal MT.
Merbau P.37, penulis menyarankan agar dilakukan perawatan rutin dan
berkala sesuai dengan instruction manual book, pelaksanaan evaluasi oleh
crew yang menangani langsung perawatan wildcat pada mesin bantu
windlass. Selain itu, perlu adanya pelaksanaan re-build atau pengelasan
untuk penambahan pelat besi pada bagian wildcat yang mengalami
keausan

Wildcat as one of important components on the windlass engine
functions to lift and drop the chain anchors. During sea project on MT.
Merbau P.37, the author found a problem on the wildcat, in which the
wildcat was worn-out, so that the windlass cannot operate maximally
during the anchor heave-up process.
This research aims to find out the causal factors of the wildcat
wear, the impacts, and the efforts taken to solve the wildcat wear. This
research makes use of descriptive qualitative methods. Data on this
research is obtained by observation, interview, and study literature.
The analysis shows that the causal factor of wildcat wear are
inappropriate wildcat maintenance, in which it did not fully in accordance
with Standard Operasional Procedure (SOP); continuous use the left
anchor only; the shape of wildcat it self; and the environment. The impacts
of the wildcat wear are the chain anchors stuck on the wildcat during
anchor heave-up process, delays during berthing process on the quay, and
limited maneuver during emergency situation. The efforts done to
overcome the wildcat wear are reducing the chain anchor tension anchor
heave-up process and adding stripper bar.
To wildcat wear of the windlass engine on MT. Merbau P.37, the
authors advises to do routine and periodic maintenance according to
instruction manual book and conduct evaluation on crew ships who
perform the maintenance. Moreover, it is necessary for MT. Merbau P.37
to re-build or welding to add iron plates on the wildcat
Kesan teknologi moden terhadap perubahan hukum : analisis terhadap penggunaan short message service (SMS) / Muhammad Fakhruddin bin Ishak
Disertasi ini mengkaji kesan teknologi moden terhadap perubahan hukum. Lebih khusus lagi dalam bidang telekomunikasi iaitu penggunaan Short Message Service (SMS). Isu yang dikaji ialah sejauhmana pembinaan hukum dapat dilakukan dengan mengambil kira faktor teknologi yang membentuk satu budaya dalam kehidupan masyarakat.
Objektifnya ialah untuk menonjolkan pengaruh teknologi dalam perubahan hukum fiqh. Selain itu, ianya bertujuan menjelaskan teori-teori syarak yang berkaitan dengan
perubahan hukum fiqh semasa dan juga menjelaskan hukum berkaitan penggunaan SMS berasaskan teori-teori terbabit. Kajian ini telah mengunakan metode kajian perpustakaan.
Bagi mengukuhkan lagi data yang diperolehi, metode temubual juga turut diadakan. Datanya diterangkan dalam lima bab untuk menjelaskan kerangka teori dan latar belakang bagi menjawab keperluan permasalahan kajian. Bab satu menerangkan tentang pendahuluan dengan mengemukakan penyataan masalah kajian, objektif, skop kajian,
metodologi penyelidikan, definisi tajuk dan kajian lepas. Bab dua membincangkan mengenai metodologi pembinaan hukum syarak serta perubahannya melalui kaedah Usul al-Fiqh, Maqasid al-Syari’ah dan Qawa’id al-Fiqhiyyah. Bab tiga pula
menerangkan mengenai teknologi moden, teknologi SMS, sejarahnya, konsepnya dan aplikasi penggunaannya. Bab empat mengkaji tentang masalah penggunaan SMS dalam isu-isu terpilih berkaitan ibadat, munakahat dan muamalat. Justeru itu pada bab akhir pengkaji mengemukakan beberapa saranan dan cadangan bagi menjelaskan lagi proses pembinaan hukum yang berkaitan dengan penggunaan SMS. Dapatan dan hasil kajian menunjukan bahawa penggunaan SMS sememangnya memberi impak yang besar dalam kehidupan masyarakat dan sekalipun bukan sebagai faktor pengubah hukum yang utama, namun penggunaannya diambilkira dalam membina hukum fiqh. Hal ini dapat dilihat hal ibadat (derma dan zakat), munakahat (nikah dan cerai) dan muamalat (undian rancangan realiti hiburan dan perbankan SMS). Design and development of friction less automotive transmission: performance analysis of input and output torque / Abdul Khalik Muhammad Fakhruddin
Infinitely Variable Transmission (IVT) is currently being the matter of interest in automotive industry due to its capability to improve fuel economy and performance of the vehicle. This project will introduce a new design of frictionless transmission with infinitely variable speed ratio. This transmission is design to eliminate friction process by clutch disk and allowing engine to operate at its most optimum condition. High torque generated by rotating mass is the main concept in developing this transmission. This work will describe the operating principle of the friction less transmission referring to its design drawing. Several simple physic approaches are used to initially analyze the torque performance theoretically. The model of the transmission has been design and developed. Variable speed motor will be acted as input torque. Analysis on output torque generated by the transmission is done by using Spring Scale to measure force exerted at the output shaft. From this, the performance of the friction less transmission can be analyzed

Change detection with visual inspection and image subtraction for detecting land use & land cover in Bandar Bachok, Kelantan / Muhammad Fakhruddin Abdul Rahman
Land use change is a process where human activity changes the landscape. The impact of direct land use changes can affect wildlife habitats and therefore impact local and global biodiversity by changing natural vegetation to any other uses that result in loss of habitat, degradation and fragmentation. The main problem are rapid of land use & cover taking place in the study area has led to environmental problems as well, soil erosion, and water pollution due to deforestation and discharge of municipal garbage and industrial waste. Using satellite imagery from Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM), and Landsat 8 OLI images acquired in 2009 and 2016 respectively to map the land use ad cover change in Bandar Bachok, Kelantan. Each image is separately classified into five classes of use and land cover Built-up, Bare land, forest, agriculture, and water bodies using the most uncontrollable data categorization data with the help of data collected in the field gathered in Padang. By using Normalized Burn Ratio (NBR) was intended to feature consumed zones and gauge fire seriousness. The recipe is like NDVI, then again, actually it utilizes near-infrared (NIR) and shortwave-infrared (SWIR) wavelengths. NBR method will used this transformation to the images for each date, then compare the differences in these images. For detecting building or built-up area Normalized built-up index (NDBI) has been use. Land clearing information collected in the field in 2009 and 2016, and includes a visualized equipped uniqueness that is visually understood to be used to assess the accuracy of the classification decision. The overall accuracy of soil classification for each image is: Built-up (92%), Agriculture (86%), Water Bodies (86.9%), Bare Land (79.5%) and Forest (83.3%). Post-classification change tracking techniques used to generate change images for 2009 to 2016, have been found to have major changes in land / cover usage over a 7-year period. Accordingly, it accounted for about 71% of the total area followed by built-up (15%), Forest (9.3%), Bare Land (2.7%) and Water Bodies occupied the smallest area that are (2.0%). During the 7-year time frame, in 2016 agriculture also in major type of land use and cover but decrease to 64%. Another, type of land cover also shows the decreasing in 2016 that are built-up decrease to 7% and forest decrease to 1%. Another type of land cover show increasing that are Bare Land increase to 24% and water bodies’ increase to 4%. Based on this change the differences from year 2009-2016 are for Built-up 17.1% for 2254.61 hectare, agriculture 15.7% for 2067.22 hectare, water bodies 6.0% for 792.14 hectare, bare land 43.9% for 5772.43 hectare and for forest 17.3% for 2690.21 hectare. As a result, this study also demonstrates the importance of Remote Sensing (RS) technology and the Geographical Information System (GIS) to estimate the exact change in land use and cover, and assess their causes to design ecological-based management plans for Bachok Area

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dimana berlakunya perceraian bagi wanita yang
berkarir di Mahkamah Rendah Syariah Kota Bharu Kelantan. Adapun yang
menjadi rumusan masalah penelitian yakni bagaimana perceraian wanita karir
di Mahkamah Rendah Syariah Kota Bharu Kelantan, apakah faktor dan
dampak dari perceraian wanita karir di Mahkamah Rendah Syariah Kota Bharu
Kelantan, serta pandangan hukum islam tentang wanita karir. Metode
penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian lapangan (Field Research).
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode
pengumpulan data, observasi lapangan, wawancara. Sedangkan untuk
analisisnya, penulis menggunakan analisis deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk
menjelaskan aspek releven dengan fenomena yang diamati.
Hasil dari pembahasan ini adapun yang menjadi faktor perceraian wanita
karir di Mahkamah Rendah Syariah Kota Bharu Kelantan adalah karena
beberapa faktor yaitu Pertama: Kekerasan dalam rumah tangga, Kedua:
Berlakunya perselingkuhan dalam pasangan, ketiga: Kemandulan, keempat :
Tidak setaraf, kelima : Istri nusyuz, dan keenam : Suami tidak
bertanggungjawab. Yang menjadi faktor utama di sini adalah tidak adanya
kesefahaman antara suami dan istri, dimana apabila selalu terjadi ketidak
fahaman antara suami dan istri maka terjadilah perceraian dikarnakan faktorfaktor yang disebut di atas. Di dalam hukum islam, tidak ada larangan untuk
wanita berkarir asalkan wanita tersebut memenuhi syarat-syarat untuk berkarir
atau buat sesuatu perkara di luar rumah, adapun syarat-syarat wanita untuk
berkarir antaranya meminta izin terlebih dahulu daripada suami atau wali,
menutup aurat, menjaga ikhtilat antara yang bukan muhrim, pekerjaan tersebut
memerlukan kemahiran daripada wanita dan perkerjaan yang di buat tidak
menggugurkan kewajiban sebagai istri rumah tangga

Visual Communication is an exposure to human beings since time immemorial by a multicultural society. Orang Asli have been exposed to visual communication in the production of traditional crafts throughout their ancestors. It is developed informally among them especially in the production of decorations for events such as weddings. The objective of this study is to explore the process of visual documentation of dais decoration Orang Asli community that can be analysed to reveal whose identity has an influence on today’s society. This study aims to explain the development of Orang Asli exposure through identity visualization using the art of decorative production and being recognized by outsiders. The research area was located at Kampung Orang Asli Batu 12, Gombak, Selangor to get visual data collection. Several research methods have been implemented such as focus group interviews with selected Orang Asli traditional craft operators, literature review and observations in the field documented using written notes, photographs, audio interviews.
