This research aims to analyze and find out the reality of the enforcement of illegal fishing law in Indonesia as well as the enforcement of illegal fisheries law in indonesia after the introduction of the Ciptaker Act. The type of research used is normative research, i.e. research with legislative approaches and supporting literature as research source material. The results of the study indicate that (1) the enforcement of the law of illegal fishing in Indonesia as well as enforcing the law on illegal fisheries in Indonesia after the creation of the Ciptaker Act, is basically aimed at protecting fishing resources, ining the sustainability of the marine environment, and ensuring that seafood can be sustainably utilized by future generations. (2) The enforcement of illegal fishing laws in Indonesia after the introduction of the Ciptaker Act, there are some changes in regulations that affect the enforcing of illegal fisheries law in Indonesia

Neglected double-J stent presenting as giant bladder and ureteral stone: A case report

Implementing double-J (DJ) stents in urological practice helps to alleviate kidney and ureteral obstruction. The primary causes of neglecting a DJ stent typically involve inadequate counseling and poor patient compliance. Encrustations of neglected DJ stents present a significant challenge. This study aims to report on a neglected DJ stent that persisted for 3 years, presenting as giant bladder and ureteral stones. We report on a 35-year-old male with chief complaints of discomfort in the suprapubic and left flank, along with concurrent micturition leakage. He had a DJ stent implanted to treat his ureteral stone 3 years ago. Advanced imaging showed a left distal ureteral stone (0.7×0.8×1.9 cm), extensive hydronephrosis and hydroureter, and a bladder stone (4.7×3.9×3.2 cm). A left ureterorenoscopy (URS) was done to remove a stone from the end of the ureter, half of a DJ stent and a bladder calculus using cystolitholapaxy. However, the patient underwent a second surgery owing to a residual bladder stone. The patient was discharged from the hospital without any symptoms. A foreign object in the urinary tract, like a DJ stent, may create secondary calculi. Endoscopic treatment could improve the efficacy of treating large bladder stones simultaneously with ureteral stones. As a measure to prevent DJ stent-related complications, it is also essential for healthcare professionals to provide information and follow-up care to patients regarding the use of DJ stents

Effectivity of Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy versus Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery on Kidney Stone: A Single-center Experience

Introduction: Urinary tract stones are one of the most prevalent urological diseases worldwide. Percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) and retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) are two primary treatment modalities for the said disease. This study analyzes and compares the clinical characteristics and outcomes of kidney stone patients undergoing PCNL and RIRS in Indonesia. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed patients with urinary tract stones who underwent PCNL and RIRS in a single hospital. Patient characteristics were retrieved from medical records between January 2022 and December 2023. We compared the age, gender, number, size of stones, as well as preoperative imaging, comorbid diseases, and stone-free rate (SFR) of the patients. Results: From January 2022 to December 2023, 116 cases of kidney stones were found in Universitas Airlangga Hospital. Sixteen patients underwent the RIRS procedure, and 100 patients underwent the PCNL procedure. Conclusions: Patients who underwent PCNL procedures for kidney stones are generally men over 40 years old with kidney stones larger than 2 cm and < 2 cm for RIRS procedures. The PCNL procedure has an overall higher SFR than the RIRS procedure, especially for large and complex stones. However, RIRS has a higher success rate for stones under 2 cm. The SFR of both modalities decreases as the Guy’s stone score increases

Effects of Telmisartan and Moderated-Intensity Aerobic Exercise on Collagen Type I Expression in a Diabetes Melitus Model

Introduction: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is an escalating global health issue that can lead to complications across various organs, including the urinary system. Diabetic Bladder Dysfunction (DBD) is a common urological complication of DM, characterized by increased collagen deposition in bladder tissue. Diabetes-induced bladder fibrosis results in loss of compliance and impaired contractility. Objectives: This study aims to evaluate the effects of telmisartan administration and moderate-intensity aerobic exercise on collagen type I expression in a DM rat model. Methods: To create a DM model, the Wistar rats were induced with 35 mg/kgBW of streptozotocin (STZ). The rats were divided into five groups: a control group, groups receiving telmisartan treatment, aerobic exercise groups, a combination of both treatments and an untreated DM group. Collagen type I expression was measured using immunohistochemistry. SPSS version 20 was performed for statistical analysis. Results: Male Rattus norvegicus were divided into five groups: K0 (control), K1 (untreated DM), K2 (DM + telmisartan), K3 (DM + exercise), and K4 (DM + telmisartan and exercise). Body weight increased consistently with age, and all diabetic groups maintained fasting blood glucose levels above 150 mg/dL post-STZ injection. Type I collagen expression in the detrusor significantly differed among groups (p < 0.05). Similar results were observed in the lamina propria, where Group K4 significantly differed from all other groups (p < 0.05). Detrusor thickness also differed significantly between groups (p < 0.05), with Group K4 showing a significant reduction compared to K1 (p < 0.05). For lamina propria thickness, Welch ANOVA revealed significant intergroup differences (p < 0.05), with Group K4 significantly differing from K1 (p = 0.001).Conclusions: Telmisartan and moderate-intensity aerobic exercise synergistically reduce DM-induced bladder fibrosis by lowering Collagen type I expression. These findings highlight the potential of combination therapy in preventing urological complications in DM patients

This research is motivated by the importance of supervising the use of village fund budgets, considering that there are many legal problems related to village funds involving village officials and village heads in Indonesia. Through the stages of supervision, namely monitoring, examination and evaluation and using qualitative descriptive research methods, it intends to describe the supervisory process carried out by the community in participating in supervising village funds. The result of this study is that the role of the community in participating in village fund supervision has not been optimal both from the dimensions of monitoring, examination and evaluation so it is suggested that there is a need for education or advocacy of community participation in supervising the process of using the budget and monitoring the results of village performance using village funds

The level of responsibility in planning and managing village finances. The method used in this research is qualitative, with data collection carried out through interviews, observation and document analysis. The research results show that the Sekarwangi village office has implemented special actions to increase the accountability of village financial planning, such as implementing a village financial information system and attracting active community participation in the planning process. However, this study also identified a number of obstacles faced by village level offices in achieving harmonious accountability, such as limited human resources and limited technology. Therefore, this research provides suggestions for increasing the accountability of village-level financial planning, including human resource training and improving technological infrastructure. This study provides valuable insight into the efforts of the Sekarwangi Village Office in realizing harmonization of accountability in village financial planning, which can be a basis for further improvements in village financial management, not only in Sekarwangi Village but also in all villages
