Health life style is very important to every person especially in this modern era that technologies are a part of human life. Without a healthy life style, we actually will be suffering in this world from every kind of diseases. Without health care in everyday live, the heart might be failure or not function well because of disease such as high blood pressure, etc. To overcome this problem, heart rate measurement are created. This project describes the design of a simple, low-cost microcontroller based heart rate measuring device. The result display at LCD. Heart rate measurement device in this project for measure from finger using IR sensor.IR sensor act as transmitter and photodiode receive signal from transmitter. The photo diode is a receiver. Heart rate device shows direct proportional characteristics with change in blood volume during heart beats can be measured. In this project used two-stage high gain, active low pass filter using operational amplifier(Op-amp) to filter and amplify the signal to appropriate voltage level so that the pulses can be counted by a microcontroller.. This project use PIC16877A as microcontroller to connect to LCD and two stage filter. In project, we set the formulea to count the heart rate by placing fingertip on sensor for 10 second and the result multiplied with 6 for get one minute heart beat

Dari hasil evaluasi tersebut guru dapat mengetahui apakah strategi pembelajaran yang telah digunakan berhasil atau tidak dalam meningkatan prestasi akademik peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPA dan guru dapat memilih strategi pembelajaran yang bisa digunakan dalam pembelajaran selanjutnya. xix ABSTRACT Thesis with the title "Learning Strategies of Natural Sciences (IPA) in Improving Academic Achievement of Students Class 5 (Multi-Case Study In MI Roudlotut Tholibin Banjarejo and MIN Rejotangan)" is written by Muhammad Syaifullah guided by Dr. Muniri, M.Pd dan Dr. Chusnul Chotimah, M.Ag Keywords: Learning Strategies, IPA, Learning Achievement . Learning science which is one of the subjects that are very important and is a subject very close and close to human life, especially the children children in Elementary School/ Islamic Elementary School (SD/MI). Science subjects taught in MI / SD is a subject that contains natural, living things, the solar system, and also includes events that occur on earth. The subject matter is so broad and diverse that not enough is learned by simply lecture, the teacher explains the learners listen. But requires a learning strategies to help students understand the material, through observing, practicing, analyzing and others. But this time not many teachers implement instructional strategies in science explain the material and this becomes the background research by the author. The focus and research questions in this thesis are: ( 1 ) How the strategic planning of learning undertaken in the 5th grade science teacher MI Roudlotut Tholibin and MIN Rejotangan in improving students' academic achievement ?; ( 2 ) How is the implementation of learning strategies that do a science teacher in the 5th grade MI Roudlotut Tholibin and MIN Rejotangan in improving students' academic achievement ?; ( 3 ) How evaluate learning strategies that do a science teacher in the 5th grade MI Roudlotut Tholibin and MIN Rejotangan in improving students' academic achievement?. This research was conducted using multicase study design using qualitative approach where the researcher serves as a key instrument. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation and documentation. Interviews were conducted to the primary data source 5th grade science teachers and learners in grade 5 and also to the headmaster an other teacher as secondary data about the planning, implementation and evaluation of learning strategies 5th grade science teacher observations were made by observing the activities of planning, implementation and evaluation of learning strategies science teacher grade 5. While the documentation is done by taking documents and data such as pictures. xx The results of this study are: (1) planning strategy undertaken in the science teacher grade 5 in MI Roudlotut Tholibin Banjarejo and in MIN Rejotangan includes the preparation of a set of learning in the form of preparation Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), the subject matter both textbooks and books modules personal , election strategies and methods of learning appropriate teaching materials and preparing teaching aids in the form of instructional media either natural or artificial, in both schools to plan systematically; (2) The implementation of learning both the educational institutions make the process of learning science well, in MI Roudlotut Tholibin Banjarejo class atmosphere rather crowded while in MIN Rejotangan classroom atmosphere conducive for teachers to assess the behavior of learners, in MI Roudlotut Tholibin Banjarejo implement the strategy Inquiry while in MIN Rejotangan implement strategies Contextual teaching and learning, in both schools learning process combined with demonstrations, discussions, and presentations.; (3) Evaluation of learning strategy has some similarities, in MI Roudlotut Tholibin Banjarejo and MIN Rejotangan 5th grade science teacher evaluation apply by way of reviewing the methods and strategies used. From the results of the evaluation of teachers can determine whether the learning strategies that have been used successfully or not in improving the academic achievement of students in science subjects and teachers can select learning strategies that can be used in further learning

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods

We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
