A study of unutilized energy in UiTM buildings / Muhammad Helmi Hamidon

The problem of energy wastage in several buildings in MARA University of Technology (UiTM) has reached a level that is very concerning. After reviewing audit reports on all UiTM buildings, the scenario of energy wastage has been identified happening in several buildings. UiTM's Maintenance and Development office has been identified as some of the buildings that are experiencing unutilized energy, or in other words, wastage of energy. A detailed observation on load profiles for both UiTM's Maintenance and Development offices show that there exists energy wastage during the overnight period. Field investigations conducted identified the sources of these unutilized loads and air conditioning units, mainly split units has been identified as the main components consuming energy during the overnight period. Wastage in energy has been sourced to air conditioning units that are not turned off after working hours. Hence, it can be concluded that there are opportunities for improvements in terms of energy consumption in UiTM buildings and implementing a suitable control system to reduce energy wastage in both the Maintenance and Development offices will ensure that operation cost is minimized and energy usage is optimized

Dynamic partitioning and data allocation method on heterogeneous architecture / Muhammad Helmi Rosli

In recent years, processing large data set to produce result in a timely manner poses a lot of challenges to ICT researchers. Currently most organization has an elaborate local network system whose computers are underutilized. These network form cluster of computing resources that simulates supercomputer. Processing images are computationally complex due to its data and task intensive nature. This can be solved by parallelizing the process in cluster environment. Most cluster environment have a variety of computer hardware specification namely heterogeneous environment.Optimizing the resources in heterogeneous environment during parallel processing is not a simple task. These involves partitioning and allocating task to each cluster node. The aim of these research is to investigate various method of partitioning and allocating task in cluster environment and produce a dynamic partitioning and allocating method. Initial stage of the research consist of exploring the heuristic performance of cluster and multi-threading involving five experiments; homogeneous architecture with node partitioning; heterogeneous architecture with node partitioning; heterogeneous architecture with node partitioning including multi-threading; heterogeneous architecture with node and core partitioning; heterogeneous architecture with node and core partitioning including multi-threading.The performances use sequential processing speed as a benchmark. Each experiment highlight the advantages and disadvantages of the experimental architecture. The disadvantages from each experiment prompts the design of dynamic parallel partitioning and allocating framework. The case study use for this experiment is Sobel edge detection algorithm. The test data set focuses on processing images of three different sizes; (IK x IK), (2K x 2K) and (3K x 3K). The performance evaluation is based on the processing speed in second, speedup, and efficiency. In conclusion, it is found that in idle situation heterogeneous architecture with node and core partitioning including multi-threading perform better from other experiment. However, in real working condition where some computer are serving users processes, the dynamic algorithm provides a potential alternative

Coratella is an innovation from the existing fruit plucking equipment. Existing equipments used to pluck are very large. Weighing hundreds of pound and therefore expensive to purchase and maintain. Thus, it is not practical to use them in any large farming or harvesting operation. It cannot be utilised easily due to its size and cannot be manoeuvred in areas of bushes. Moreover, fruits will fall to the ground which caused obvious permanent fruit damage. Our main project is to design innovative and optimise fruit plucking. Coratella is a fruit plucking equipment which can pluck fruits easily and save time. Coratella was designed using simple components. Coratella consists of a metal rod, canvas basket, the plucker and rope. Coratella comes in different sizes to pluck fruits of different sizes and reach different heights. Canvas is used to make the basket into which the fruit will fall upon plucking. Canvas is soft and will not damage the fruit. This device is safe and can be used while standing on the ground thus avoiding the risks of climbing the trees and risk falling. Coratella also saves time and enable more fruits to be plucked safely

Rubato/free style guitar is a style of playing which is important to know in order to play jazz or pop music. It has a broad definition based on crucial functions and elements to jazz music. This research is an investigation of techniques in creating rubato/free style guitar. In order to narrow down the investigation, my research has focused on the genre of traditional pop music where I have specifically chosen a pop tune: Fly Me to the Moon by Bart Howard as a detailed analysis in reference to my research. This study also explains a brief historical background of Jazz and pop music, as it is important to know the history of jazz and pop music before entering a deeper understanding of its context. The purpose of this research is to equally understand the methods and techniques used in creating Rubato/free style guitar, to which I have successfully covered, illustrated and explained important methods and techniques used in creating rubato/free style guitar. In addition, the second purpose of conducting this research is to investigate further the appropriate to play the rubato style guitar which I have supported detailed evidence in reference to the matter in chapter four (4). I have applied the qualitative methodology throughout my research undertaking. Thus, I was able to complete my investigation mostly through extensive analysis of Fly Me to the Moon by Bart Howard. He is one of the greatest icons in jazz and pop music

Pengaruh Arus Kas, Return On Aset (ROA) dan Leverage Terhadap Return Saham Dengan Laba Akuntansi Ssebagai Variabel Moderasi Pada Perusahaan Sektor Food and Beverage (FNB) Yang Terdaftar Di Indeks Saham Syariah Indonesia (ISSI) Periode 2018 - 2023. Skripsi, Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Islam Program Studi S1 Akuntansi Syariah UIN Salatiga. Pembimbing: Anisa Dewi Arismaya, S.E, M.Akt.
