Laporan Penelitian Unggulan Perguruan Tinggi : Pemanfaatan Rain Harvesting sebagai Energi Listrik
Energi minyak bumi di Indonesia mengalami penurunan cadangan energi sebesar
1,2% dari tahun sebelumnya. Penurunan ini disebabkan oleh banyaknya masyarakat yang
menggunakan energi minyak bumi dibanding energi yang lain. Cadangan minyak Indonesia
diperkirakan tinggal 3,7 miliar barel pada tahun 2015 dan akan habis dalam waktu kurang
dari 20 tahun lagi. Bila dibagi dengan rata-rata produksi minyak Indonesia yang sekarang 300
juta barel per tahun, cadangan minyak itu habis dalam 12 tahun.
Rain Harvesting atau pemanenan air hujan adalah kegiatan menampung air hujan
secara lokal dan menyimpannya melalui berbagai teknologi, untuk penggunaan masa depan
untuk masa depan dalam memenuhi tuntutan konsumsi atau kegiatan manusia.
Teknologi Rain Harvesting ini dapat menyimpan air hujan dalam jumlah banyak dan
mengubahnya menjadi energi listrik. Dengan adanya teknologi Rain Harvesting diharapkan
dapat membantu kegiatan manusia dalam bidang energi dan memperpanjang waktu habis
energi minyak bumi.
Air hujan yang telah ditampung di dalam tandon dialirkan sehingga membentuk
suatu aliran air. Aliran air inilah yang dimanfaatkan untuk menggerakkan turbin karena air
akan menggerakkan sudu-sudu kincir air sehingga membuat kincir air menjadi berputar.
Kincir air ini terhubung secara langsung dengan generator, sehingga bila kincir air bergerak,
maka secara otomatis generator juga akan ikut bergerak. Selama bergerak berputar, generator
ini akan menghasilkan energi listrik

This research responds to the industry's need for environmentally friendly brake linings as an alternative to asbestos brake linings. The main focus is combining palm oil shell powder with epoxy resin as the matrix. This experiment involves varying the volume fraction and pyrolysis temperature to optimize the hardness of the pyrolysis brake lining which shows the shrinkage of palm shell powder at temperatures of 400oC, 450oC and 500oC, giving results for manufacture of brake linings. Hardness testing with a durometer showed that a mixed formulation of 50% palm shell powder + 50% epoxy resin at a temperature of 400 oC gave the highest hardness (72 HD) but experienced a decrease in temperature of 500 oC (53.3 HD). Hardness test analysis according to SNI standards shows that the formulation of 50% + 50% palm shell powder and epoxy resin at a temperature of 400 oC meets SNI standards (72 HD). However, this research highlights further development to achieve optimal development in brake lining hardness, this research contributes to the development of environmentally friendly alternative brake linings with positive results in hardness tests.Penelitian ini menjawab kebutuhan industri akan kampas rem ramah lingkungan sebagai alternatif pengganti kampas rem asbes. Fokus utamanya adalah menggabungkan bubuk cangkang kelapa sawit dengan resin epoksi sebagai matriksnya. Percobaan ini dilakukan dengan memvariasikan fraksi volume dan temperatur pirolisis untuk mengoptimalkan kekerasan kampas rem pirolisis yang menunjukkan penyusutan serbuk cangkang sawit pada temperatur 400oC, 450oC dan 500oC sehingga memberikan hasil untuk pembuatan kampas rem. Uji kekerasan dengan durometer menunjukkan bahwa formulasi campuran 50% serbuk cangkang sawit + 50% resin epoksi pada suhu 400 oC memberikan kekerasan tertinggi (72 HD) namun mengalami penurunan pada suhu 500 oC (53,3 HD). Analisis uji kekerasan sesuai standar SNI menunjukkan bahwa formulasi 50% + 50% serbuk cangkang sawit dan resin epoksi pada suhu 400 oC memenuhi standar SNI (72 HD). Namun penelitian ini menyoroti pengembangan lebih lanjut untuk mencapai pengembangan kekerasan kampas rem yang optimal, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan kampas rem alternatif ramah lingkungan dengan hasil positif dalam uji kekerasan
ANALISIS PRESTASI KERJA MOTOR 4 TAK DENGAN PENGGUNAAN TURBO CYCLONE
AbstractTechnological developments in the automotive field, especially in the motor fuel continued to experience improvements in order to provide comfort without neglecting the safety factor and the ability to produce large power. One attempt to do to generate greater power is to increase the efficiency of the motor fuel to improve combustion processes that occur in the combustion chamber. This is also done by Sei Y Kim through his invention called the Turbo Cyclone. There are four experiments conducted namely intake manifold that does not use turbo cyclone (standard), and use the turbo cyclone with angle variety of 55°, 65°, and 75°. The motors are in use is the motor 4 stroke 100cc. Fuel used is LPG. Based on the results of the study showed that in use with turbo cyclone with an angle of 65°on intake manifolds improve engine performance that is equal to 4.89 Nm to 0.15 Nm increase or an increase of 3.16% compared with the standard views of torque while the maximum power generated on the variation of fin 65°amounted to 4.529 Hp rose 5.829% or 0.252 hp compared with the standard.Keywords:4 stroke 100cc engine, turbo cyclone, intake manifol
Uji Kinerja Teknologi Mesin Vacuum Frying Pada Proses Penggorengan Keripik Kulit Mangga
The frying temperature in the frying process using a vacuum frying machine can be designed according to needs. Usually used for frying at low temperatures so that damage to the aroma and taste can be avoided. The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of frying temperature and time in a vacuum frying machine on improving the quality of mango skin chips so that a product can be obtained that meets consumer desires. The temperatures used for frying are 50, 55, and 60oC with varying times of 40, 50, and 60 minutes. This aims to avoid changes in color and taste so that optimal quality of mango skin chips is obtained. The water content of fried mango skin is 90% - 95.5%. The maximum capacity of the frying tube is 2 kg with a cooking oil requirement of 12 liters. The main processed ingredient used in this research was the peel of the Manalagi variety mango. The mango skin chips produced have a delicious, sweet taste, quite crunchy texture, and are yellow in color. The higher the temperature and the longer the frying time, the water content tends to decrease. This is caused by higher heat which causes greater evaporation of water from within the material. The results of fried ingredients are crispier due to evaporation at a low boiling point allowing more water content to evaporate
Model Kewirausahaan Green Entepreneur Berbasis Konsep Zero Waste pada Siswa/Siswi Islamic School SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Panji Situbondo
Sesuai dengan data yang ada di Dinas Kelautan Perikanan, komoditas unggulan perikanan tangkap di Kabupaten Situbondo adalah ikan tongkol. Selama ini, masyarakat menjual ikan tongkol dalam kondisi segar tanpa diolah. Saat panen raya, sebagian ikan digunakan sebagai pakan ternak atau dibuang karena membusuk. Ikan tongkol termasuk makanan yang mudah rusak karena kandungan lemaknya yang tinggi, yang cepat teroksidasi. Kerusakan ini disebabkan oleh metode penanganan tradisional yang tidak sesuai dengan prinsip penanganan yang baik, sehingga mutu ikan rendah. Namun, ikan tongkol merupakan pilihan bahan makanan bergizi yang baik untuk kesehatan berkat kandungan nutrisinya. Abon, produk olahan yang umum dikenal, biasanya dibuat dari daging sapi. Berdasarkan analisis situasi, abon ikan tongkol adalah produk yang akan dipelajari di unit produksi SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Panji. Produk abon yang akan dikaji memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda dari produk abon yang telah beredar di masyarakat. Usaha ini tidak hanya terbuat dari tongkol segar yang telah diproses secara higienis, tetapi juga menjadi media pembelajaran bagi siswa, terutama terkait bidang kewirausahaan.
Technology Innovation of Ginger Spring Machine as a Traditional Jamu for Coronavirus Prevention: Inovasi Teknologi Mesin Otomatis Pemeras Jahe Sebagai Jamu Tradisional Untuk Pencegahan Virus Corona
The COVID-19 disease, including its prevention and treatment, is becoming a lively conversation in the community. There are many ways to protect yourself from the coronavirus. Apart from doing social distancing, consuming traditional drinks can also be a great way to increase endurance. Jamu has been a part of traditional Indonesian medicine for a long time. Herbal medicine is believed to provide a number of health benefits as well as to treat various diseases. Traditional spices are quite effective in maintaining endurance and are one of the solutions against the increasingly aggressive coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak. Ginger drink is one of the traditional drinks that is easy to make and has the power to increase endurance to avoid the coronavirus (Covid-19). Ginger contains the bioactive compound gingerol which can fight the respiratory syncytial virus that causes respiratory infections. To make the ginger drink, it is necessary to squeeze ginger from the dregs. So far, the processing is done manually by using a grate and squeezing it by hand. People who grate get tired, especially if they have to grate large amounts of ginger. Based on this, appropriate technological innovations need to be applied to increase production yield and quality of squeezed ginger, namely by making the design of "Automatic Ginger Squeezing Machine" which is quite practical and can be used on a household scale with a capacity of 35 kg/hour and a power of 750 Watts. Ginger that is processed in this machine will be immediately separated from the pulp. The production process will be shorter and more efficient because the ginger juice and pulp are separated automatically with a larger capacity. This machine uses stainless steel to ensure the quality of the processed product and maintain the health of the process. This machine works automatically from the beginning to the end of the ginger pressing process
Kualitas Bahan Bakar Biogas Limbah Cair Tahu Dengan Penggunaan Variasi Komposisi Starter: Quality Of Fuel Liquid Waste Biogas Tofu Using Starter Composition Variation
Fossil fuels are a primary energy source. Fossil fuels that are widely used are in the form of fuel oil, gas fuel, and coal. Along with technological developments, the need for fossil fuels is increasing, which is followed by the depletion of supplies. Therefore, renewable energy is needed which is cheap and easy to use on a household scale such as biogas. The materials used as biogas are tofu liquid waste with a yeast starter, EM-4, and horse manure. Tests on the quality of tofu liquid waste biogas conducted in this study include; Gas volume, temperature, degree of acidity (pH), C/N ratio, and gas content, namely methane (CH4), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), carbon monoxide (CO), and oxygen (O2). In the test results, it was found that the increase in the quality of tofu liquid waste biogas by using horse dung starter was producing a volume of 513.6 ml, a temperature of 31.7oC, a C/N ratio of 5.336, a CH4 content of 69%, and H2S content of 5 ppm, a CO content of 9 ppm and an O2 content of 16.3%
Inovasi Teknologi Otomasi Hemat Air Wudhu (Media Wudhu Smart) Berbasis Microcontroller Penunjang Sustainable And Development Goals Clean Water And Sanitation
Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6 emphasizes the importance of access to clean water and sanitation. Water-saving practices, especially in ablution activities, are important for maintaining the sustainability of water resources. This research aims to analyze the potential water savings in the use of ablution in the campus environment of Universitas Muhammadiyah Jember by using smart ablution media technology based on microcontroller. The research was conducted as a pilot project at Al-Qolam Mosque, with data collection on the volume of ablution water before and after the implementation of the automatic system. The system uses infrared sensors and the Arduino Nano microcontroller to control the water flow. The test results show that the use of an automatic ablution faucet reduces average water consumption by 0.7 liters or 20.6% compared to a regular faucet. The infrared sensor functions effectively in detecting the presence of objects and water level. This research shows that the application of smart ablution media technology can raise awareness of water conservation and contribute to efforts to achieve SDG 6. The use of this automatic system is expected to be more widely implemented to reduce water waste in various environments
