„Preludium rewolty”. Bunt kobiet w poezji Joanny Mueller
No full textThe aim of this article is to answer the question about the causes of oversights, silences and shifts in the critical-literary reception of Joanna Mueller’s poetry. The author analyses discussions of the poet’s successive books and demonstrates the workings of what she calls the ‘double standard’ of the language of criticism; this mechanism has enabled repeated gestures to discredit the importance of this poetry, and has its origins in critics’ specific elaboration of the experience and subject of motherhood, whose poetic thematisation is often met with negative critical commentary. This analysis is juxtaposed with an alternative proposal for reconstructing the main line of Mueller’s poetic story of motherhood, a story in which individual personal experience becomes the basis for building a community of women based on experiencing the oppression they share. Joanna Mueller’s work has certainly been recognised by critics and has been widely (albeit irregularly) commented on and described, so the writer functions in the broad field of literary production and popularisation in Poland.Celem artykułu jest odpowiedź na pytanie o przyczyny przeoczeń, przemilczeń i przesunięć w krytycznoliterackiej recepcji poezji Joanny Mueller. Autorka analizuje omówienia kolejnych książek poetki i pokazuje działanie mechanizmu, który nazywa „podwójnym standardem” języka krytyki; mechanizm ten umożliwiał wielokrotne wykonywanie gestów dyskredytowania wagi tej poezji, a ma źródła w specyficznie opracowywanych przez krytyków i krytyczki doświadczeniu i temacie macierzyństwa, którego poetycka tematyzacja często spotyka się z negatywnym komentarzem krytycznym. Analiza ta jest zestawiona z alternatywną propozycją rekonstrukcji głównej linii poetyckiej opowieści Mueller o macierzyństwie, opowieści, w której jednostkowe osobiste przeżycie staje się bazą budowania wspólnoty kobiet opartej na doświadczaniu takiej samej opresji. Twórczość Joanny Mueller z pewnością została przez krytyków i krytyczki dostrzeżona oraz była wielokrotnie (choć nieregularnie) komentowana i opisana, pisarka funkcjonuje więc w szeroko pojętym polu produkcji i popularyzacji literatury w Polsce

No full textW neolingwistycznej poezji Joanny Mueller istotnym zagadnieniem jest indywidualny wymiar macierzyństwa. Jego liryczne konkretyzacje odznaczają się pogłębioną autorefleksyjnością, poszukiwaniem własnej poetyki, wskazywaniem na przemiany ponowoczesnej estetyki. Poetka, eksplorując możliwości języka, próbując wypowiedzieć doświadczenie maternalne, skupia się nie tylko na tożsamości matki, ale też na podmiotowości dziecka w okresie prenatalnym i niemowlęcym. Charakteryzując jego status, otwierając się na eksperymentowanie z dźwiękową i semantyczną zasobnością języka, w matczynym doświadczeniu wskazuje na radość, troskę, ale też niepewność i lęk. Odsłania potencjalność nowego bytu, znikomość jego istnienia, która wymaga skupienia i przyzwolenia, subtelnych gestów, by załagodzić napięcia towarzyszące wzrastaniu. Mueller, przedstawiając budowanie relacji z dzieckiem, podkreśla współzależność, doznawanie jego bezcenności, odrębności, stopniowe oswajanie się z tym, co nieznane, ukryte, a niezwykle bliskie.A significant theme in the neo-linguistic poetry of Joanna Mueller is the individual dimension of maternity. Its poetic expressions are characterized by deepened self-reflection, search for a personal poetics, and point to transformations of postmodern aesthetics. As the poet explores the possibilities offered by language and attempts to express maternal experience, she focuses not only on the mother’s identity but also on the subjectivity of the unborn child or the infant. Describing its status, opening herself to experimenting with the phonetic and semantic wealth of language, she notes joy and care, but also uncertainty and fear that are a part of maternal experience. She reveals the potentiality of the new being, its infinitesimality, which requires concentration and permission as well as subtle gestures to ease the tensions that accompany growth. In her portrayal of building a relation with the child, Mueller emphasizes co-dependency, experiencing the child’s pricelessness and distinctiveness, gradual familiarization with what is unknown and hidden, yet so very close
