Rad obuhvaća terenska mjerenja na tri pokusne plohe unutar Nacionalnog parka Plitvička jezera, nedaleko od poznate prašume Čorkova uvala. Područje istraživanja čine zajednice Lamio orvale- Fagetum sylvaticae Ht. 1938 (Ilirska brdska bukova šuma s mrtvom koprivom) i Omphalodo-Fagetum Marinček et al. 1992 (Dinarska bukovo-jelova šuma).

Autorski tim predstave činimo redateljica Maja Lučić, profesorica i mentorica Tamara Kučinović, kolegica glumica Lucija Subotić i ja, Matko Duvnjak Jović.Writing this master exam as a student of puppetry I try to get to the bottom of natural material on the stage and the metaphor it can introduce to the theatre performance. I also present my expirience working with water and syimbolism of it on a performace called Stories About Us by young author Jelena Kastaneti. Performace is directed by Maja Lučić, mentored by Tamara Kučinović, and performed by Lucija Subotić, and Matko Duvnjak Jović

This year celebrates hundredth anniversary of birth of Požega’s Matko Peić, art historian, painter and author. This paper will deal with Peić’s work as an author, the piece of work that has been a little neglected and unavailable to broader audience. The subject of interpretation will be poems from unpublished collection of poetry The Boy’s Picture Book written in the time period from 1942. to 1945. Poems were written in Požega and Zagreb. The handwritten collection is a part of Peić’s heritage that is kept in the City Museum of Požega. It’s interesting how Julije Benešić was the first person to whom Peić gave the unpublished collection of poetry The Boy’s Picture Book to read, this is attested by the correspondence also found in Matko Peić’s legacy

Matka Laginje upućen vladi u Beogradu, datiran 24. rujnom1920. god. With an introductory analysis of sociopolitical situation and the position of peasantry during the period 1918-1920, the author presents the integral text of the Croat ban Matko Laginja's raport, which he sent on 24 September 1920 to the government in Belgrade. It is supplied with notes about the literature and the sources as well as significant events and people. This is the first time that this report is being published in its entirety, and it represents the most important source about the great peasant uprising in 1920 in Bjelovar-Križevci , Zagreb , and Varaždin provinces. The insurrection was caused by a forced supplementation of military reserves ( bran ding of animals, especially horses, and registration of carts), but its roots were in a general discontent of Crpat peasants with the centralized and unitarian regime and the Karađorđević' s monarchy. The revolt of several thousands of peasants sawits bloody end. Fifteen peasants were killed, dozens were wounded, and a few hundred were sentenced to long prison sentences

The Theology of the Marian Prayers by Pope Francis

Autor artykułu prezentuje treści dwudziestu kilku modlitw papieża Franciszka zanoszonych do Matki Bożej w różnych miejscach jej kultu. The author of the article presents the content of more than twenty prayers of Pope Francis addressed to Our Lady in various Shrines dedicated to Her. The Holy Father honors Mary in them, using her various, strictly theological titles: (Immaculate Mother, Holy Virgin, Mother of God, Mother of Jesus), or those that he himself has formed: (Mother of silence, beauty, tenderness, Woman of decisions, actions, our Mother). At the same time, he shows who in fact Mary is for him as well as for the faithful. Pope Francis’ zealwith which he pleads with the “Mother of the Afflicted” seems particularly striking. He begs Our Lady so that She would intercede with the merciful God and with her Son, the Redeemer on behalf of individual statuses of the People of God, especially for those suffering in spirit because of sin and in the body, i.e. for the victims of injustice, for the poor, the sick and the persecuted. This means that Pope Francis managed to code in his prayers a profound Mariology that manifests itself in a living Marian devotion

Osijek drawing school – representatives in the works of Matko Peić

Peić također kontekstualizira Hötzendorfovo i Waldingerovo stvaralaštvo na njemu svojstven način, kroz lapidarno navođenje mogućih likovnih i književnih utjecaja, od rukopisnog djela preporoditelja Luke Ilića Oriovčanina i njegovog suradnika, slikara Stjepana Marjanovića, preko nizozemskih majstora pejzaža do panteizma prirodoslovca Alexandera von Humboldta i književnih radova Walta Whitmana i Henryja Davida Thoreaua. Donoseći kratak pregled Hötzendorfovog i Waldingerovog stvaralaštva i njihove dodirne točke u smislu odnosa učitelja i učenika, Peić inzistira i na komparativnim razlikama u njihovom stvaralaštvu, ističući kako je Hötzendorf grafička sanjarija, a Waldinger grafička opservacija.Artists from Požega, his hometown and from the wider area of Eastern Croatia occupy a special place in Matko Peić’s (1923–1999) works, The publication Croatian Painters and Sculptors: Slavonia – Syrmia, published as a special edition by 'Matica Hrvatska' from Osijek in 1969 under the editorship of Ivo Mažuran is dedicated to these artists. The author himself denies this work the intention of anthological consideration of painters and sculptors from Slavonia and Syrmia, i.e., a systematic his torical review of their achievements, but points to several prominent figures who are to be considered when it comes to Croatian fine art on the whole. Among these personalities there are two of prominent names that belong to the Osijek Drawing School: Hugo Hötzendorf and Adolf Waldinger. Peić approaches their oeuvres in an essayistic way that deals with the topic without the critical scientific apparatus common for historical and artistic reviews. Despite this, the texts bring the most important biographical information about the artists and cite a number of researchers of their oeuvres (e.g. Artur Schneider, Ljubo Babić, Ernest Dirnbach). Peić contextualizes Hötzendorf and Waldinger’s work in his way, through lapidary citation of various artistic and literary influences, starting from the manuscript work of the revivalist Luka Ilić Oriovčanin and the works of the painter Stjepan Marjanović, his collborator and then continuing through Dutch masters of landscape to the pantheism of a naturalist Alexander von Humboldt all the way to the literary works of Walt Whitman and Henry David Thoreau. Bringing a brief overview of Hötzendorf and Waldinger’s work and their points of contact in teacher-student relations, Peić also insists on comparative differences in their creativity, pointing out that Hötzendorf’s works are like a graphic fantasy whereas Waldinger’s are a graphic observation

Why do you think you should be the author on this manuscript? Analysis of open-ended responses of authors in a general medical journal

    No full text
Abstract Background To assess how authors would describe their contribution to the submitted manuscript without reference to or requirement to satisfy authorship criteria of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), we analyzed responses of authors to an open-ended question “Why do you think you should be the author on this manuscript?”. Methods Responses of authors (n=1425) who submitted their manuscripts (n=345) to the Croatian Medical Journal, an international general medical journal, from March 2009 until July 2010 were transcribed and matched to ICMJE criteria. Statements that could not be matched were separately categorized. Responses according to the number of authors or their byline position on the manuscript were analyzed using Mann–Whitney U test and Moses test of extreme reactions. Results The number of authors per manuscript ranged from 1 to 26 (median=4, IQR=3-6), with the median of 2 contributions per author (IQR=2-3). Authors’ responses could be matched to the ICMJE criteria in 1116 (87.0%) cases. Among these, only 15.6% clearly declared contributions from all 3 ICMJE criteria; however, if signing of the authorship form was taken as the fulfillment of the third ICMJE criterion, overall fraction of deserving authorship was 54.2%. Non-ICMJE contributions were declared by 98 (7.6%) authors whose other contributions could be matched to ICMJE criteria, and by 116 (13.0%) authors whose contributions could not be matched to ICMJE criteria. The most frequently reported non-ICMJE contribution was literature review. Authors on manuscripts with more than 8 authors declared more contributions than those on manuscript with 8 or fewer authors: median 2, IQR 1–4, vs. median 2, IQR 1–3, respectively (Mann Whitney U test, p=0.001; Moses Test of Extreme Reactions, p Conclusions In cases of multi-author collaborative efforts but not in manuscripts with fewer authors open-ended authorship declaration without instructions on ICMJE criteria elicited responses from authors that were similar to responses when ICMJE criteria were explicitly required. Current authorship criteria and the practice of contribution declaration should be revised in order to capture deserving authorship in biomedical research.</p
