Comparative analysis of university-government enterpriseco-authorship networks in three scientificdomains in the region of Madrid
No full textIntroduction: In an economy geared to innovation and competitiveness in research and development activities, inter-relationships between the university, private enterprise and government are of considerable interest. Networking constitutes a priority strategy to attain this strategic objective and a tool in knowledge-based economies.
Method: Drawing from a full inventory of co-authored scientific articles, collaborating networks are defined and analysed with the social network analysis method, using Pajek software and graphed with the Kamada-Kawai algorithm for visualization.
Analysis: Scientific production involving intraregional collaboration in the Madrid region is analysed across three subject categories. The data used were taken from the Web of Science for the years 1995-2003. The main indicators of social networking obtained were: density average degree, normalized degree and degree centralization, betweenness centralization, closeness centralization and clustering coefficient.
Results: Networking led to a moderate rise in the number of links and participating actors, with more Spanish companies and multi-national subsidiaries in the second period. The largest number of links was recorded for public universities located in the Community of Madrid.
Conclusions: The data resulting from the social network analysis conducted provided insight into the structural characteristics of the networks generated and their evolution. The visualization methodology used proved to be highly informative for identifying not only the main actors, but clusters and components as well. The analysis afforded a useful perspective for understanding the dynamics of collaborating networks

Towards a general quasi-linear approach for the instabilities of bi-Kappa plasmas. Whistler instability
No full textKappa distributions are ubiquitous in space and astrophysical poorly
collisional plasmas, such as the solar wind, suggesting that microscopic and
macroscopic properties of these non-equilibrium plasmas are highly conditioned by the
wave-particle interactions. The present work addresses the evolution of anisotropic
bi-Kappa (or bi-Kappa-)distributions of electrons triggering instabilities of electromagnetic
electron-cyclotron (or whistler) modes. The new quasi-linear approach proposed here
includes time variations of the Kappa parameter during the relaxation of temperature
anisotropy. Numerical results show that Kappa may increase for short interval of times
at the beginning, but then decreases towards a value lower than the initial one, while
the plasma beta and temperature anisotropy indicate a systematic relaxation. Our
results suggest that the electromagnetic turbulence play an important role on the
suprathermalization of the plasma and may even determine the lower values of the
kappa power-index in collisionless plasmas. Even though the variation of Kappa is in general
negative (Delta Kappa < 0) this variation seems to depend of the initial conditions of anisotropic

Literary Diary as an Attempt at Autotherapy of War Trauma (on the Example of Valeria Burlakova’s Novel 'Zhyttia' P.S.)
No full textThe article is a scientific attempt to understand and present to the contemporary recipient the artistic dimension of war and its reflection in the cultural consciousness of the society of the twenty-first century. The author appeals to the literary diary titled Zhyttia P.S. (The Life P.S.), written by a soldier participating in the Russian-Ukrainian war in Donbas. Certain features of the work provide evidence that it is a hybrid war. For Ukrainians, it is a war for real memory. Most attention in the researching of the literary reception of this traumatic event is paid to three fundamental signs. The first one is the gender peculiarity – the story is told by a woman who fought at the front and lost there her beloved person, who was killed by the enemy. The second peculiarity is the feature of writing therapy, when writing the diary opened the possibility of release from the experienced trauma. And the third one is the genre of diary, which is a memoir and at the same time an artistic reflection of the image of war
