The article deals with the concept of lifelong teaching education according to O.G. Moroz Examines the relation between the effectiveness of first-year student adaptation and motivation for learning and self-improvement; between novice teacher’s professional adaptation and the desire for lifelong learning and self-development

Transient modeling principles of transformer taking into account topology and properties of the core

    No full text
A method of describing processes in cold-rolled electrical steel is proposed, which reproduces the dynamic hysteresis loops in core legs and yokes. A method of accounting for magnetic fluxes in nonmagnetic medium which makes the transfomer model reversible is described. The model developed is illustrated by calculating inrush current produced by subsequent energizations of three-phase bank consisting of four-limb transformers

Principles of modeling transformer transients taking into account topology and magnetic core features

A method describing processes in cold-rolled steel and reproducing dynamic hysteresis loops in certain core components (legs and yokes) is proposed. A method that takes into account magnetic fluxes in a nonmagnetic medium that makes the transformer model reversible is described. Transients initiated by sub-sequent energizing of a three-phase group of four-limb transformers in a 500-kV network are simulated

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

    No full text
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
