    Stewardship e sostenibilità sono la stessa cosa? L’una è un’evoluzione dell’altra? Il volume indaga il concetto di stewardship in relazione con la sostenibilità, al fine di esplicitarne punti di contatto e differenze, partendo dall’assunto che nessun approccio è migliore dell’altro o totalmente esaustivo rispetto alle esigenze dei tempi moderni, ma, ciascuno a suo modo, contribuisce attivamente a una più responsabile ed etica gestione delle risorse.     Reaching the SDGs by 2030: at what point is Italy? Evidence from firms at the regional clusters’ level

    Framing of the research. The implementation of the SDGs, one of the most urgent and current challenges, requires adaptation to sub-national contexts and the involvement of many actors, including firms. Purpose of the paper. The paper examines the Italian situation regarding the achievement of the SDGs through the lens of the adoption of the 2030 Agenda by firms from different Italian regions. Methodology. The research involved 30 Italian listed companies from Northern and Central-Southern Italy, selected from the CONSOB’s list of firms providing a non-financial declaration. An integral reading of the documents with subsequent interpretation was performed. Results. Regional localization does not affect the overall contribution to the SDGs, which is limited for all firms. Instead, the geographic localization of firms at the regional scale differentiates the prioritized SDGs: Northern firms are more oriented towards social and economic SDGs, while Central-Southern firms focus more on environmental ones. Research limitations. The paper represents a preliminary exploration of Italian firms’ advancements towards the SDGs over a regional space. Future research developments could focus on sample enlargement and the exploration of sub-national specificities in other countries around the world. Managerial implications. Italian firms should enhance their commitment to the 2030 Agenda in all its ambitions by incorporating the sustainable goals within their corporate culture and strategic posture. Originality of the paper. The study responds to the need to consider sub-national specificities in the literature on sustainable development by capturing the connections between firms, their territory of operation, and the SDGs

    Framing of the research. The implementation of the SDGs, one of the biggest challenges to be urgently addressed for the future of planet and humanity, varies by geographic area. Purpose of the paper. The paper aims to examine the Italian situation as to the achievement of the SDGs to highlight differences or homogeneity through the lens of the adoption of the 2030 Agenda by the firms from different Italian regions.     Online content responsiveness strategies in the hospitality context: exploratory insights and a research agenda

    Purpose - The article investigates different types of strategies for managing user-generated content (UGC) and provides some insights into their implications. Design/methodology/approach - A unique sample of Italian hotels with current and prospective customers in the digital environment is investigated. A taxonomy of user-provider interactions mediated by UGC is developed. A mixed approach was designed to meet the study aims. Firstly, an exploratory factor analysis was performed in order to illuminate different strategies of UGC and electronic word-of-mouth (E-WOM) management. Secondly, a cluster analysis was implemented in order to explain hoteliers' behavior toward users' contents. Findings - The study results suggested the existence of three clusters, which reflected three different types of interactions between hotels and customers in the digital domain. Interestingly, most of Italian hotels were found to adopt a reductionist approach to UGC and E-WOM management, turning out to be ineffective to exploit them for the purpose of quality improvement and hospitality service excellence. Research limitations/implications - Hotels were found to be largely unaware of the importance of UGC and web-based communication with customers to improve their digital business strategy. Tailored management approaches are needed to realize the full potential of hotels' online content responsiveness for the purpose of value co-creation and service co-production. Originality/value - This is one of the first studies investigating the strategic and management perspectives embraced by hotels to handle their interactions with customers in the digital arena

    A Bibliometric performance analysis of Publication Productivity in Corporate Social Responsibility Field: Outcomes of SciVal analytics

    Corporate social responsibility (CSR) research in academia has been increasing over time, especially in recent years. Thus, the evaluation of relative research productivity is becoming increasingly relevant due to the current importance of this topic. The paper aims to investigate research productivity in the CSR field by performing a bibliometric analysis. An iterative search strategy was used to firstly identify productive CSR authors and then examine their productivity over a 5-year period (2015–2020) using the SciVal tool by Elsevier. Drawing on the results from different bibliometric analyses, the study investigates quantitative and qualitative publication performance at the country (macro), institutional (meso) and individual (micro) levels. This study is the first bibliometric analysis on CSR that is not related to a specific journal and has a multi-level nature by providing the groundwork in determining the knowledge structure of CSR

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    “Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
