Perspectivas clásicas en el estudio de las prácticas laborales de los sectores populares: el eje en las carencias
No full textPresentaremos las principales corrientes que, desde la década de 1950, han centrado su atención en el estudio de los sectores populares. Sin la intención de ser exhaustivos, dada la amplitud de trabajos y perspectivas existentes, nos referiremos de manera sintética a las corrientes de marginalidad, informalidad y exclusión social, buscando mostrar el hilo de continuidad que existe entre estas tan disímiles perspectivas.A este análisis, debido a la importancia que ha cobrado en los últimos años, añadiremos una reseña sobre los principales trabajos que han abordado la temática de las trayectorias laborales, en un esfuerzo por tratar de conectar y describir distintas situaciones sociales y los diferentes tipos de economías y formas de reproducción que vivencian las personas.Finalmente, retomando la perspectiva del trabajo no clásico, presentaremos algunas discusiones más recientes sobre la potencial productividad política de estos trabajadores y las nuevas formas de organización y acción colectiva. Estos últimos debates cuestionan las miradas más pesimistas en torno a la pérdida del valor del trabajo como eje de organización social y política, buscando reflexionar sobre las vías y posibilidades de acción y organización de estos nuevos trabajadores que no responden al modelo tradicional del obrero industrial. Así, uno de los interrogantes principales que guía a los estudios de la acción colectiva en el mundo del trabajo se centra en la reflexión sobre cómo organizar a los trabajadores sin patrón que, frente a las nuevas dinámicas de modernización, se encuentran en condiciones de fuerte pauperización y precarización laboral.La Confederación de Trabajadores de la Economía Popular (CTEP), caso que aborda la segunda parte de este cuadernillo, se inscribe en estas problemáticas y sitúa, en el seno de su desarrollo, algunos de estos cuestionamientos. Creada con el objetivo de brindar una representación gremial a los trabajadores olvidados y excluidos de los marcos tradicionales de acción y negociación colectiva, propone una modalidad novedosa de representación laboral de este sector.Fil: Ynoub, Emanuel. No full textAnatomic and pathologic reports of histological slides give results indicating the presence of trabeculae, hematopoietic and fat cells. This allows evaluating the grade of some metabolic disorder, comparing normal values with pathological ones. Generally, quantifications are carried out by simple visual inspection presenting big inter-and intra-user differences. This work presents an automatic method for detecting different types of tissues in bone marrow biopsies using Mathematical Morphology in color spaces, in order to determine the marrow cellularity accurately. Get PDFCada 16 de septiembre se nos presenta, a quienes sentimos el deber de conmemorar el trágico hecho de la Noche de los Lápices, una oportunidad para recrear experiencias, evocar imágenes, tejer tramas de la memoria y, sobre todo, proyectar nuevos horizontes. Porque la memoria colectiva no es solo una pugna sobre las interpretaciones del pasado, sino los significados que elaboramos de nuestro presente y, en especial, de nuestros futuros posibles.
Ya hemos visto que el mero hecho de recordar, u olvidar, determinados acontecimientos no nos garantizan su carácter transformador, y es por ello que debemos complejizar los procesos de trasmisión de la memoria.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
Get PDFWe conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases.
