Mohammad Azmi Nudin, 2024. Analysis of Drainage System Planning as an effort to overcome flood disasters in Limbangan Kulon, Brebes District, Brebes Regency. Civil Engineering thesis report, Faculty of Engineering, Pancasakti University, Tegal, 2024. Flooding is a condition in which an area is inundated by large amounts of water. Floods are caused by high rainfall, causing flooding. Poor drainage capacity can lead to flooding. In densely populated urban areas, wastewater cannot be treated separately and drainage is inadequate. Because of this, the sewers are clogged with garbage and soil debris. The method used in this study is the descriptive method. The data needed are rainfall data, land use data and population data. The rainfall data used is a comparison of monthly maximum rainfall data from Limbangan Kulon station and other stations. After analyzing rainfall data using the Log Pearson III and Gumbel methods, the Chi-Squared Test was performed to select an acceptable statistical distribution. It then applies rainfall data to rainfall intensity using the mononobe method. Rain intensity is useful for calculating peak runoff using rational methods. Based on the analysis, an evaluation will be carried out in the form of an analysis of the drainage volume of each drainage channel in Limbangan Kulon District. Such as Jalan Mangun Sakoro I, Jalan Mangun Sarkoro II, Jalan Mangun Sarkoro III, Jalan Mangun Sarkoro IV and Jalan Mangun Sarkoro V. Keywords: precipitation, rational method, flooding, evaluation, plannin

The primary objectives of this study are to investigate the relationship between consumer innovativeness and customers’ intention to adopt Islamic banking (2) to investigate the role of consumer innovativeness in relationship between attitudes, social influence, perceived behavioural control and intention to adopt Islamic banking in Nigeria. The methodology that will be adopted in order to achieve the stated objectives of the research will therefore be a positivist methodology namely: the development of hypothesis to address research questions; use of questionnaire to obtain quantitative data from a reliable sample; and statistical analysis to test the hypothesis. This proposed research framework would compliment efforts of previous researchers by investigating the factors influencing customer’s intention to adopt Islamic banking in Nigeria. It focuses on the relationship between consumer innovativeness, attitude, social influence, perceived behavioral control and intention to adopt the new mode of financing. In addition, it is expected that the relative influence of these independent variables will vary when consumer innovativeness was set to moderate the relationship

Discussion: prediction of long-term urban stormwater loads at single sites

    No full text
Contribution by Fahimeh Sarmadi, Mohammad Azmi and Mana Gharun May and Sivakumar (2013) have predicted the long-term urban stormwater loads at single sites, using five different measures of central tendency. They have stated that their motivation in using measures of central tendency is one in which, in contrast to regression and process-based methods, there is no need for correlating urban stormwater loads with other variables (e.g. discharge), as well as less complexity. Overall, the flow-weighted mean concentration has produced the most accurate predictions of long-term loads

Proposed new interior design of Lambretta Mazza Centro for Selangor Lambretta Club at 176, Jalan Raja Abdullah, 50300 Kuala Lumpur / Fairuz Aimi Mohammad Azmi

The final project for the student of Diploma in Interior Architecture is a manifestation towards the student’s knowledge about the whole aspect on interior design that had been learnt from basic to the final presentation on the proposed design. The project that had been chosen for the final project is to propose new design of Lambretta Mazza Centro. This proposed club centre is to provide the customers the best services. The target customer are mostly from Lambretta lovers all around Malaysia. Concept and image that had been chosen not only must be suitable with the clients as both of it would reflect the client itself, but at the same time it would give a positive impact and to increase the business. Besides, the concept and images itself should be also related with the theme of the Lambretta. Some of the gained information of the study is through interviews, printed media, internet, observation, and through the result from the case study either locally or internationally

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis

Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more sophisticated methods
