A Norwegian grey zone: Knut Rød, Victor Lind and 'The crucial year, 1942'
No full textThis article uses Primo Levi’s concept of “the grey zone” to explore Knut Rød’s involvement in the transfer of 532 Norwegian Jews from Oslo to Auschwitz in 1942. Rød, the police chief in charge of the operation, was subsequently exonerated of any crime on the grounds that he had simultaneously used his position to help members of Milorg – the Norwegian Resistance. The legal and moral basis of this verdict has been questioned by the artist Victor Lind in a series of artworks, including his “countermonument” The Perpetrator (2005)

Programa de Pós-Graduação em Literatura.A presente tese tem como objetivo abordar as narrativas de Necrológio, obra inaugural de Victor Giudice, publicada em 1972, em sua relação com o período ditatorial brasileiro. Assim como outros artistas do contexto, o escritor se utiliza de estratégias para driblar a censura da ditadura militar. Com Necrológio, Giudice assume o papel de artífice de sua própria época através da carnavalização da temática da morte, uma protagonista da qual seus personagens se tornam simulacros. Através do fantástico e da metamorfose, o autor expõe personagens que são inquilinos de um universo desumanizado.The present thesis aims to approach Necrológio, Victor Giudice's inaugural book published in 1972, in its relations to Brazilian dictatorship. Victor Giudice, as many other artists in that context, uses strategies to trick censorship in the dictatorial period. With Necrológio, Giudice takes the role of artificer of his own time through the carnavalization of the thematic of death, the main protagonist of his book to which his characters function as simulacra. Through the fantastic and the matamorphosis, the author exposes characters that inhabit a deshumanized universe

Author: Patrik Jansson & Victor Holmlund Supervisor: Pär Vilhelmson, Kristina Mickelsson & Elena Ahmadi Date: 2015 - May Aim: The purpose of this study is to increase the understanding of how first line management in public organizations is effected by New Public Management related reforms and how they handle related administrative tasks. Method: The study is based on a deductive and qualitative methodology. We conducted 10 semi-structured interviews with first line managers in Swedish public healthcare organizations. A result is reached by a thematically constructed analysis were citations are presented and analyzed. Result & Conclusions: The study shows through the model that has been used that first line managers are highly affected by administrative tasks that can be linked to New Public Management. The participant managers see these related tasks as important for the organizations and natural in their profession. Contribution of the thesis: The study contributes with an increased understanding of the managing of first line managers and how it is affected by New Public Management related administration through a perspective that is lacking in previous research. The new perspective gives a nuanced view of the manager’s role as administrators and gives rise to suggestions of future research. Metod: Studien bygger på en kvalitativmetod där empiriskt material har insamlats via 10 semi-strukturerade intervjuer. För att skapa ett resultat har vi använt oss av en tematisk analysmetod där transkriberade citat presenteras, analyseras och diskuteras. Resultat & slutsats: Studien visar via den modell som använts att första linjens chefer inom offentlig sektor påverkas i hög grad av administrativa arbetsuppgifter som kan återknytas till New Public Management. Studien visar att de medverkande cheferna överlag ser dessa administrativa uppgifter som viktiga för organisationen och självklara i deras yrkesroll. Uppsatsens bidrag: Studien bidrar med en ökad förståelse för första linjens chefskap i offentlig sektor samt hur cheferna påverkas av New Public Management relaterad administration ur ett perspektiv som saknas i tidigare forskning. Det nya perspektivet ger en nyanserad bild av chefernas roll som administratörer och ger upphov till förslag om framtida forskning. No full textL'autor relaciona el personatge de la novel•la Tirant lo Blanc anomenat rei Escariano amb el gegant negre que, en la tradició popular valenciana, apareix com a guardià de tresors i princeses encantats. Les diverses característiques comunes observades entre l'un i l'altre permeten aventurar la hipòtesi que Joan Martorell, en concebre el seu personatge, s'inspirava directament en la rondalla o la llegenda. Alhora, un detall de toponímia permetria, almenys en part, atribuir les aventures africanes del Tirant més a Joan Martorell que no a Martí Joan de Galba.Based on the Tirant to Blanc novel, the autor puts in relation the character rei Escariano with the black giant of the Valencian popular tradition. This giant is the guardian of enchanted princesses and treasures. Taking into account the common features of both characters, the author hypothesizes that Joan Martorell followed the legend or popular taIes in order lo create his character: At the same lime, the author mentions a place which allows us to associate, to a certain extent, the African Tirant’s adventures to Joan Martorell rather than to Martí Joan de Galba
