Focus on Banking & Finance piece by Robert Mitchell, president of the Maine Co
Focus on Banking & Finance piece by Robert Mitchell, president of the Maine Council on Economic Education and Maine Jumpstart Coalition; and Jon Paradise, governmental and public affairs manager of the Maine Credit Union League. A recent survey by the National Economic Council on Economic Education showed a serious lack of financial education in the schools, a lack that is especially critical in an entrepreneurial state like Maine. Several Maine businesses are working with the Maine Council on Economic Education to improve the financial literacy of Maine students. Maine\u27s credit unions have organized fairs and partnered with individual schools, but more needs to be done
