On the spatial and temporal coherence of wireless vehicular short range channels
We consider spatial and temporal coherence of the vehicle–to–vehicle (V2V) wireless communication channel with focus on a suburban residential highway. The dominant reflectors in such an environment are vehicles passing in the adjacent lane and houses
along the road. Instead of treating the reflectors as point targets, the V2V short range propagation environment requires partitioning of the illuminated reflector side into
sufficiently small tiles. The channel transfer function is obtained as a superposition of specular reflections from the tiles, the line–of–sight (LOS) component, and the ground reflection. The tile size is selected to ensure that the ratio of the tile area to the tile–to–receiver distance satisfies the far field conditions. The reflected power is described by the tile radar cross section (RCS). The bistatic physical optics RCS model is adapted to account for the tile’s orientation with respect to the ray geometry. We apply the superposition model to the numerical analysis of two general scenarios
for a 22MHz channel in the 2.4GHz band. The first scenario considers a single vehicle reflector passing in the lane adjacent to the V2V communication pair. Both the vector network analyzer (VNA) experiments and the tiling model analysis illustrate that repositioning of the reflector, the transmitter, or the receiver by a few centimeters results in change of the signal power by several decibels. The second scenario analysis characterizes the channel coherence statistics for the
suburban residential highway. We consider the V2V single lane LOS and non–LOS geometries, where in the latter the receiver is shadowed by a large vehicle. The reflectors are both houses and vehicles passing in the opposite direction. The measure of channel coherence is the normalized spatial covariance calculated by correlating transfer functions corresponding to feasible receiver position pairs and performing spatial smoothing. The area of feasible receiver positions is divided into contiguous squares
whose size ensures wide sense quasi–stationarity within the square. Irrespective of direction the correlation remains high and a typical sedan roof usually does not provide sufficient spacing to obtain average inter–antenna correlation lower than 0.5. The upper bound on coherence time extends over the transmission time of multiple packets for systems in the considered band, and does not allow for usable time diversity.Ph.D.Includes bibliographical referencesIncludes vitaby Haris Krem
Sistem informasi manajemen persuratan mahasiswa berbasis web menggunakan zkoss framework (studi kasus: akademik fakultas psikologi UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta)
Perkembangan teknologi informasi dapat meningkatkan kinerja dan memungkinkan berbagai kegiatan dapat dilaksanakan dengan cepat, tepat, dan akurat, sehingga akhirnya akan meningkatkan produktivitas. Perkembangan teknologi informasi diperlihatkan dengan bermunculannya berbagai jenis kegiatan yang berbasis pada teknologi ini, seperti e-government, e-commerce, e-education, e-medicine, e-laboratory, dan lainnya, yang kesemuanya itu berbasiskan elektronika. Namun tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa masih terdapat juga instansi yang belum memanfaatkan perkembangan teknologi berbasiskan elektronika ini, contohnya pada Akademik Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Islam Negeri Syarif Hidayatullah, yang mana merupakan instansi pemerintah bidang pendidikan yang banyak melayani mahasiswa yang sangat membutuhkan suatu aplikasi sistem informasi. Aplikasi sistem informasi ini sangat dibutuhkan demi menunjang peningkatan kinerja dalam instansi ini. Contoh kasus yang terjadi pada bagian akademik yang khususnya menangani pelayanan mahasiswa berupa pelayanan surat mahasiswa. Sistem yang berjalan saat ini mempunyai beberapa kendala, diantaranya adalah tidak adanya pengecekan aktif kuliah terhadap mahasiswa yang membuat surat keterangan mahasiswa, tidak adanya manajemen data permohonan surat keterangan mahasiswa, kesalahan yang sering kali terjadi dalam penomoran surat, menuliskan secara manual data surat pada buku kendali surat, dan tidak adanya informasi yang sampai kepada mahasiwa. Oleh karena itu, penulis mengusulkan sebuah aplikasi sistem informasi berbasis web dengan menggunakan ZKoss sebagai framework, yang dalam pengembangannya penulis menggunakan metodologi penelitian Rapid Application Development (RAD). إدارة تعليم القواعد النحوية والصرفية باستخدام الكتاب "المفتاح للعلوم" بالمعهد سيداقري السلفي باسوروان جاوى الشرقية

الإدارة التعليمية هي شيء ضروري لتحقيق الأهداف التعليمية لأن فيها عناصر التي ترتبط. والمعاهد هي من المركز لتعليم الدين الإسلامي، التي تستخدم الكتب العربية كمصادر الأولى في اكتشاف العلوم والمعرفة خاصة المعاهد السلفية. ولذا يحاول المعهد سيداقري السلفي باسوروان جاوى الشرقية جودة التعليم بالإدارة الجيدة وأنواع الدورات التدريبية والإضافية، لكن في السنة 2010 م ينتكس التعليم في هذا المعهد خاصة في مهارة القراءة للكتب العربية الذي يتأثر إلى المواد التعليمية الأخرى في هذا المعهد. بهذه المشكلة يشجع الأساتيذ والموظفين في هذا المعهد لبناء المرحلة الجيدة للطلاب الجديدة خاصة وكذلك المواد التعليمية الجديدة، وتسمى "المفتاح للعلوم". بمرور الزمان كان عملية تعليم هذا الكتاب "المفتاح للعلوم" في المرحلة الإعدادية في المعهد هذا المعهد يتطور تطورا جيدا بنظر إلى متخرجين ونتيجة التعليم الجيدة حتى يزيد الطلاب الجديدة في كل السنة حتى كان الموظفون اطلاقا (launching) هذا الكتاب لكل المؤسسات التعليمية في هذا البلاد إندونيسيا. وبذلك كان المدارس أو المعاهد الذين يتبعون لهذا المعهد يستخدمون هذا الكتاب "المفتاح للعلوم"، من ذلك قد كثر المؤسسات التي تستخدم هذا الكتاب لنيل النجاح التعليمي كما في المعهد سيداقري السلفي باسوروان جاوى الشرقية.
يدخل هذا البحث المدخل النوعي الذي يمر بالدراسة الوصفية التحليلية. أما جمع البيانات المستخدم لهذا البحث هو طريقة المقابلة والملاحظة والتوثيق. أما تحليل البيانات المستخدم في هذا البحث هو التحليل عند الشكل التفاعلي ميلس وهبرمان " Miles dan Huberman". وهو على ثلاثة مراحل: تخفيض البيانات، عرض البيانات، واستنتاج. ولتحقيق صحة البيانات كان الباحث استخدم تمديد المشاركة والمناقشة والحوار بجهة أخرى ثم التثليث.
حصل هذا البحث على النتائج التي دلت على أن إدارة تعليم القواعد النحوية والصرفية باستخدام الكتاب "المفتاح للعلوم" بالمعهد سيداقري السلفي باسوروان جاوى الشرقية نقسم إلى أربعة أقسام: 1) التخطيط الذي يتعلق بتعيين أهداف التعليم خاصة أو عامة التي تخطط لعملية هذا التعليم. وتعيين المواد التعليمية الإضافية للكتاب "المفتاح للعلوم" وتعيين طريقة التعليم وتعيين وسائل التعليم وأدواته. 2) التنظيم الذي يتكون من تنظيم الفصل وتعيينه. وابتكار المعلم بالمواضع التعليمية. وابتكار المعلم في استخدام الوسيلة التعليمية. ابتكار المعلم بالطريقة التعليمية وإتقانها. 3) التنفيذ وهو الذي يتعلق بإجراء عملية تعليم الكتاب "المفتاح للعلوم" في الفصل باستخدام الوسائل والطرائق وغيرهما التي تخططهم المعلم. وخطوات التطبيق في عملية تعليم هذا الكتاب. 4) التقويم وهو الذي يتكون بمراقبة التخطيط والتنظيم. ثم تقويم التنفيذ الذي يتعلق بخطوات التقويم وتنفيذ التقويم وأخذ نتائج التقويم الذي يتعلق بالمعايير أو المقاييس لنجاح عملية تعليم الكتاب "المفتاح للعلوم" وعملية التقويم عموما.
ABSTRACT
Management of education or learning is a must to realize a better education because in it there are several interrelated elements. Pesantren is a place of Islamic religious learning by using Arabic language materials in gaining knowledge, especially in Salaf Islamic Boarding Schools. Therefore, the Sidogiri Islamic Boarding School (PPS) tried to improve the quality of education with good management and various kinds of book reading training, but in 2010 there was a decline in the quality of education, especially the quality of reading books which greatly affected the quality of education in general at PPS. From this problem the PPS management formed a new school level which was devoted to new students with new material as well (Al-Miftah Lil-Ulum). The development of this learning is very encouraging to see the addition of new students at PPS every year. So that PPS launches this learning to all educational institutions in Indonesia, from here many institutions use the book with the aim of emulating the success of learning in PPS.
This research is classified as a qualitative research with a descriptive analysis type of study. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation. The analysis technique used is analysis according to Miles and Huberman, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, to check the validity of the data through participant extension, discussion, dialogue, and triangulation.
The results of this study indicate that the management of Arabic learning using the book "Al-Miftah Lil-Ulum" at the Sidogiri Islamic Boarding School is divided into four: 1) Planning related to (a) determining the objectives of the book learning, between general and specific ( b) determine the accompanying material for the book (c) determine the learning method (d) determine the learning media. 2) Organizing which includes several things (a) determining and forming classes. (b) teacher creativity with learning materials (c) teacher creativity using learning media (d) teacher creativity in using learning media. 3) Implementation that is directly related to the book learning activities "Al-Miftah Lil-Ulum" in class, using media, methods and other things that have been planned. Steps in putting the book into practice. 4) Evaluation which includes several things (a) supervision of learning planning and organization. (b) evaluation of the implementation related to the evaluation steps, taking the standard evaluation value of learning the book "Al-Miftah Lil-Ulum" (c) evaluation in general.
ABSTRAK
Manajemen pendidikan atau pembelajaran merupakan sebuah keharusan untuk mewujudkan pendidikan yang lebih baik karena di dalamnya terdapat beberapa unsur yang saling berhubungan. Pesantren merupakan tempat pembelajaran agama Islam dengan menggunakan materi-materi berbahasa Arab dalam memperoleh ilmu pengetahuan terutama di Pesantren salaf. Oleh karena itu Pondok Pesantren Sidogiri (PPS) berusaha memperbaiki kualitas pendidikan dengan manajemen yang baik dan dengan berbagai macam pelatihan baca kitab, tetapi pada tahun 2010 mengalami penurunan kualitas pendidikan khususnya kualitas baca kitab yang sangat berpengaruh terhadap kualitas pendidikan secara umum di PPS. Dari masalah ini pengurus PPS membentuk tingkatan sekolah baru yang dikhususkan untuk santri baru dengan materi yang baru juga (Al-Miftah Lil-Ulum). Perkembangan pembelajaran ini sangat membanggakan sekali dengan melihat bertambahnya santri baru di PPS setiap tahunhya. Sehingga PPS me-launching pembelajaran ini kepada semua lembaga pendidikan yang ada di Indonesia, dari sini banyak lembaga yang menggunakan buku tersebut dengan tujuan ingin mencontoh kesuksesan pembelajaran yang ada di PPS.
Penelitian ini tergolong dalam penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis studi deskriptif analisis. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Adapun teknik analisa yang digunakan adalah analisa menurut Miles dan Huberman, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Sedangkan untuk pengecekan keabsahan data melalui perpanjangan partisipan, diskusi, dialog, dan triangulasi.
Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa manajemen pembelajaran bahasa Arab dengan menggunakan buku “Al-Miftah Lil-Ulum” di Pondok Pesantren Sidogiri dibagi menjadi empat: 1) Perencanaan yang berhubungan dengan (a) menentuankan tujuan dari pembelajaran buku tersebut, antara umum dan khusus (b) menentuankan materi pendamping buku tersebut (c) menentuankan metode pembelajaran (d) menentukan media pembelajaran. 2) Pengorganisasian yang mencakup beberapa hal (a) menentukan dan membentuk kelas. (b) kreatifitas guru dengan materi pembelajaran (c) kreatifitas guru dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran (d) kreatifitas guru dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran. 3) Pelaksanaan yang berhubungan langsung dengan kegiatan pembelajaran buku “Al-Miftah Lil-Ulum” dikelas, dengan menggunakan media, metode dan hal-hal lain yang sudah direncanakan. Langkah-langkah dalam mempraktikkan buku tersebut. 4) Evaluasi yang mencakup beberapa hal (a) pengawasan perencanaan dan pengorganisasian pembelajaran. Explosive indentation study of B4C-TiAlx composites fabricated by the dipping exothermic reaction process
The aim of this study is to fabricate a high volume fraction B4C-reinforced intermetallic matrix composite by the dipping exothermic reaction process and investigate the shock impact damage response of composites by explosive indentation experiment. It has been shown that the final microstructure of the dipping exothermic reaction process-fabricated composite can be tailored by treatment of the constituent powders and post heat treatment. Increasing the Performance of Passive Communication with Ambient Light
Most wireless communication technologies have been using the Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum for decades. Due to the popularity of the Internet of Things (IoT), the RF spectrum has started to become densely populated. Researchers have begun to explore other bands of the electromagnetic spectrum that can be utilized as a communication media. One of the promising choices is the visible light spectrum.Visible Light Communication (VLC) refers to the wireless communication technology that utilizes the visible light spectrum. This spectrum is thousands of times wider than the Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum and is license-free. In VLC, data is transmitted by turning a light source on and off. However, not every light source can be controlled. Passive light sources such as the sun provide an immense amount of light that can be used for wireless communication if we can develop ways to modulate them. One of the researches that use ambient light to create a wireless link is LuxLink. LuxLink uses liquid crystal shutters to control passive light sources and provides low energy, reliable, and flicker-free (safe) communication. This thesis addresses several problems that the current LuxLink system has.We present LuxLink+, an extension of LuxLink that provides two main improvements. Firstly, the data rate of the system is relatively low (80~bps). To increase the data rate, we provide a thorough analysis of the system’s bandwidth. Afterward, we modify the modulation technique, which increases the data rate to 1000~bps at a range of 1.5~m.Secondly, the system has a static data rate, which means that the system cannot adapt its data rate to changes in the environment. We implement a rate adaptation algorithm that can change its data rate accordingly. Performance investigation of an integrated wind energy system for co-generation of power and hydrogen
In this paper, a wind turbine energy system is integrated with a hydrogen fuel cell and proton exchange membrane electrolyzer to provide electricity and heat to a community of households. Different cases for varying wind speeds are taken into consideration. Wind turbines meet the electricity demand when there is sufficient wind speed available. During high wind speeds, the excess electricity generated is supplied to the electrolyzer to produce hydrogen which is stored in a storage tank. It is later utilized in the fuel cell to provide electricity during periods of low wind speeds to overcome the shortage of electricity supply. The fuel cell operates during high demand conditions and provides electricity and heat for the residential application. The overall efficiency of the system is calculated at different wind speeds. The overall energy and exergy efficiencies at a wind speed 5 m/s are then found to be 20.2% and 21.2% respectively

Penerapan marketing public relations saat pandemi COVID-19 merupakan bagian dari element yang sangat vital bagi perusahaan, mengingat berkurangnya permintaan untuk menyelenggarakan berbagai acara, dan harus bersaing dengan kompetitor yang bergerak di bidang yang sama. Berdasarkan fenomena yang ada, perusahaan di tuntut untuk tampil dengan kekuatan atau dengan inovasi pelayanan yang lebih prima, sehingga hal ini akan menjadi keunggulan tersendiri bagi perusahaan terlebih pada perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang jasa, dan dapat berkompetisi dengan perusahaan sejenis dengan perusahaan ini.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi marketing public relations pada Inbox Creative House (Indomitra) melalui konsep Three Ways Strategy yang dipelopori oleh Thomas L. Haris yang terdiri dari pull strategy, push strategy, dan yang terakhir pass strategy. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan paradigma konstruktivistik dengan pendekatan kualitatif secara intepretif. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui teknik observasi partisipasi pasif, serta wawancara mendalam.
Hasil penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwaanya strategi marketing public relations yang diterapkan pada Inbox Creative House (Indomitra) memiliki beberapa tahapan yaitu: 1) Pull Strategy, melakukan kegiatan iklan untuk mencapai promosi, selanjutnya membuat testimoni dan portofolio berbagai kegiatan, yang terahkir compress budgeting, 2) Push Strategy, meningkatkan kredibilitas penyelenggaraan acara, selanjutnya membangun brand loyalty di kalangan para klien, dan yang terakhir melakukan evaluasi terhadap kegiatan yang telah dilakukan, 3) Pass Strategy, mengelompokan segmentasi pasar, selanjutnya menyelenggarakan kegiatan yang bersifat adaptif, dan yang terakhir penyediaan ide konsep yang ekslusif
Multigeneration system exergy analysis and thermal management of an industrial glassmaking process linked with a Cu–Cl cycle for hydrogen production
A multigeneration system for hydrogen production linked with a glassmaking process via thermal management is examined in this study. The exhaust gas is interconnected with a Rankine cycle and the copper-chlorine (Cu–Cl) cycle for hydrogen production. The present system consists of a steam Rankine cycle, Cu–Cl cycle with multistage compression, double-stage organic Rankine cycle, and multi-effect desalination system. A Cu–Cl cycle based on the four-step model is employed with the proposed system. The useful system outputs are electricity, hydrogen, and fresh water. The simulation software packages utilized in the analysis and modeling are Engineering Equation Solver and Aspen Plus. The energy efficiency of the overall system is 36.5% while 38.1% is the exergy efficiency. The parametric studies are conducted to investigate the system performance. In addition, the effects of exhaust gas variables, such as flow rate, temperature, and pressure are examined to investigate the system performance
Leadership strategies for embedding sustainability and resilience in organizations with an emphasis on sustainable energy
Efficient strategies to embedding sustainability in an organization are frequently linked to effective leadership. By design, changes in direction within an organization may lead to alterations in commitment or perceived significance of sustainability in organizations. While some organizational leaders are interested in embedding sustainability within a structure, other leaders believe in leaving the legacy behind and permanently influencing sustainability efforts. To confirm or dispel the underscored notion of the importance of leadership in embedding sustainability in organizations, a qualitative methodology approach to interviews, document analyses, and literature review is utilized. The research inquiry includes in-person interviews with top city staff and elected officials in a large Midwestern city and a review of the internal documents and reports. The end goal of the research is an examination of the role both elected and appointed officials have in embedding sustainability within cities, and whether a change in leadership may have an impact on continuity of sustainability implementation and
long-term viability of such policies. The paper focuses on the application of sustainable energy policies within a local government organizational structure as a mean of constructing a better understanding of leadership on sustainability implementation and embedment. While the further inquiry is needed, the research points out that an active partnership between city managers, administrators, and elected officials must be in place to support integrating sustainability from within and that sustainability thrives where exhaustive leadership support such

Measuring the Sustainability Impact in Local Governments Using the Quadruple Bottom Line
Sustainability is utilized by cities to enable a multifaceted, cross-sectoral approach for the betterment of communities and operational efficiency of organizations. Using a case study of the medium size local government in the Midwest and the city’s application of sustainability planning, this article focuses on a development of an expanded definition of the bottom line and a nascent approach to measuring and tracking sustainability-related efforts. The research provides an overview of measuring sustainability adopted by this particular city, using the target-specific,extended quadruple bottom line approach. The method attempts to address economic vitality, environmental quality, social equity, and governmental accountability through governance. The use of the quadruple bottom line to measure sustainability is linked to its annual budget planning and investments in transformation-related initiatives. While such an approach to measuring sustainability progress is unique in the United States, a number of cities in Australia have also adopted the quadruple bottom line approach to measure sustainability. Lessons in reporting sustainability efforts using the quadruple bottom line, in the context of an efficient and effective service delivery, can be applied to other local governments.Journal ArticleFinal article publishe
