No full textThe article refers to Anna Wierzbicka’s diagnosis about the existence of culture’s key words, and in particular – her opinion that the word душа ‘soul’ is the key of the Russian culture which explains the specificity of the Russian ethnopsychological model of the human being. Through a semantic and pragmatic analysis of contemporary and former Polish and Ruthenian lexis, idioms, and forms of the linguistic etiquette, the author discusses the possibility of treating the Polish word dusza ‘soul’ or the Polish word serce ‘heart’ as the key to understanding the Polish culture and ethnopsychological model of man. Former contacts with Ruthenian languages and cultures probably strengthened the signifi-cance of the concept of DUSZA in the Polish culture, which remains important even today. However, it is the concept of heart (SERCE) that can be successfully used to explain the vision of man and the Polish hierarchy of values
Czy dusza ludzka jest płciowa?
No full textThis article is one of the first attempts to answer the question about the ontological basis of human sexuality. Is sexuality an indispensable element of being human? Or is it just an element of our cultural diversity? In the discussion on this problem, the medieval form of the “discussed issue” was used, in which the objections can be included in the structure, and then a solution of the problem can be proposed and the responds to the allegations.
In the part containing the explanations, the author refers to the method of metaphysical explanation, in which are pointed out the objective factors that legitimately explain the examined fact. These explanations are complemented by theological explanations, which have a large philosophical character, as well as those taken from neurological sciences. The whole of the analysis is aimed at proving that “the human soul is inherently sexual”, and therefore being a man or a woman is an inalienable way of the existence of a human person.W artykule podjęto jedną z pierwszych prób odpowiedzi na pytanie o podstawy bytowe determinacji płciowej człowieka. Czy płciowość stanowi niezbywalny element bycia człowiekiem? Czy tylko jest elementem naszego kulturowego zróżnicowania?
W dyskusji nad tym problemem wykorzystano średniowieczną formę „kwestii dyskutowany”, w której strukturze można zawrzeć obiekcje (zarzuty), a następnie zaproponować rozwiązanie problemu oraz przedstawić odpowiedzi na zarzuty.
Autor w części dotyczącej wyjaśnień odwołuje się do metody uzasadnień metafizycznych, w których dąży się do wskazania obiektywnych (przedmiotowych) czynników zasadnie wyjaśniających badany fakt. Wyjaśnienia te są dopełnione wyjaśnieniami teologicznymi, mającymi jednak duży ładunek filozoficzny, a także z wziętymi z nauk neurologicznych. Całość analiz na celu dowieść, że „dusza ludzka ze swej natury jest płciowa”, a zatem bycie mężczyzną lub kobietą jest niezbywalnym sposobem istnienia osoby ludzkiej

No full textThe article investigates the concept of soul (душа) as part of the Belarusian linguistic worldview based on the data extracted from the dictionaries of the literary language, as well as from dialectal dictionaries. The study aims to discover differences and similarities between how the soul is viewed in contemporary Belarusian society and its perception in folk worldview, which is characterized by extreme ambivalence in this regard. The paper addresses the following questions: (i) What is the soul? and (ii) Who gave the soul to humans? Having arrived at the conclusion that in the Belarusian folk consciousness the soul is viewed within an essentially pagan framework, the author seeks to establish whether this understanding underwent any changes in contemporary society, whose members went through the propagation of atheism in the 20th century, but also experience present-day Neo-Christian ideas.Autorka bada pojęcie duszy w językowym obrazie świata Białorusinów. Analiza, której podstawą materiałową są dane wyekscerpowane ze słowników gwarowych i języka ogólnego, ma na celu odkrycie podobieństw i różnic między sposobem wyobrażenia duszy w świadomości współczesnego człowieka a jej skrajnie ambiwalentnym postrzeganiem w kulturze ludowej. Autorka odpowiada na pytania: jakim zjawiskiem jest dusza i kto ją daje człowiekowi. Tekst nawiązuje do prowadzonej na łamach pisma polemiki o roli i zadaniach publiczności teatralnej, w tym między innymi do artykułów Stanisława Koźmiana Nasza publiczność oraz Edwarda Lubowskiego Jeszcze o „Naszej publiczności”. Przesłanie utworu mówi o nieistnieniu idealnych odbiorców sztuki, dokonujących deszyfracji ukrytych w dziele sensów i znaczeń symbolicznych. By je sformułować, autor odwołuje się do komedii Aleksandra Fredry Odludki i poeta oraz powieści Tomasza Teodora Jeża Siostrzane dusze.Published in the fourth issue of “The Music and Theatre Echoes” [„Echa Muzyczne i Teatralne”] (1886) text entitled Soulmate. Of the playwrighter’s memories by Władysław Sabowski concerns artistic themes. The text refers to the polemics held in the magazine about the role and tasks of the theatre audience i.a. articles Our audience by Stanisław Koźmian or Yet about “Our audience” by Edward Lubowski. The work’s message speaks of the nonexistence of ideal recipients of art, deciphering the senses and symbolic meanings hidden in the work. To formulate them the author evokes Aleksander Fredro’s comedy Recluses and a poet [Odludki i poeta] and the story by Tomasz Teodor Jeż Soulmates [Siostrzane dusze]

At the begging, there are presented monistic and dualistic anthropologies – ancient, medieval and contemporary. Then, they are contrasted with triadic anthropology, which suits better to achievements of contemporary psychology. At the end, the author puts forward an opinion about practical implications of triadic anthropology.This article considers triadic view of human, based on Hebraic anthropology. The study of track gauge influence on lateral stability of 4-axle rail vehicle model
No full textAnalysis of lateral stability of rail vehicle model is the subject of present paper. The method used by the author is based on bifurcation diagrams creation and analysis. The continued study of stability of vehicle model in straight track and curved track and form of the results presentation are original features of the method. Results for the straight track and wide range of radii of the curved track are presented jointly on the combined bifurcation diagrams in this paper. Multibody dynamics software VI-Rail was used for numerical analysis. Passenger vehicle model and track models were created. Analysis of track gauge influence on vehicle model stability is main aim of this paper. But analysis of possibility to adopt the method worked out earlier to the newly used numerical code and model of 4-axle vehicle is the aim either

No full textIn the following article the author tries to show the artistic model presented by MarekGrechuta (1945-2006) on his last music album Niezwykłemiejsca (Wondrous places), as well as various consequences of this model`s realisation. It is stressed that they were determined by singer`s psychomotor form and emotional health. Focusing on peculiar Grechuta`s case the author engages in the much wider project of anthropology of reception. It ought to explain how ambitious code of culture has collocated with pop culture over the years in Poland.
