Jaime received her MA and PhD in Social Anthropology from York University in Toronto and her BA in Cultural Anthropology from SFU. Her doctoral dissertation, Working Natures: An Ethnography of Love, Labour and Accumulation on the British Columbian Coast received both the Canadian Studies Network dissertation prize and the York University Barbara Godard dissertation prize in 2013. Jaime is a social and cultural anthropologist specializing in political ecology / environmental anthropology. She is also very interested in anthropocene feminisms, the anthropology of work and performance studies. She has published in the journals TOPIA: Canadian Journal of Cultural Studies and Emotion, Space and Society

Realizó estudios universitarios de música con énfasis en guitarra en la Universidad Nacional de Colombia con Sonia Díaz Salas.

Inventario e identificación del componente arbóreo de la sede del Poblado del Politécnico Jaime Isaza Cadavid
No full textPara realizar el inventario e identificación del componente arbóreo del Politécnico Colombiano Jaime Isaza Cadavid, Institución Universitaria ubicada en el municipio de Medellín-Colombia, se emplearon entre otras herramientas Sistemas de Información Geográfica (SIG), que permitieron identificar la posición global e inventariar los individuos que componen el sistema arbóreo con que cuenta la sede el poblado. Una vez georeferenciados se ubicaron en un plano cartográfico, efectuando un registro fotográfico individual, recolectando e identificando los materiales colectados. El SIG del Politécnico Colombiano Jaime Isaza Cadavid, el número de individuos inventariados y las especies identificadas, se constituyen para la institución en una herramienta e información valiosa que permite al personal encargado de la siembra, reposición de material y manejo de las zonas verdes, tener acceso fácil y ágil de la información consolidada y realizar la programación de las actividades de mantenimiento requeridas, de acuerdo al plan de manejo sugerido ABSTRACT To carry out the inventory and identification of the arboreal component of the Colombian Polytechnic Jaime Isaza Cadavid, a university institution in the municipality of Medellin – Colombia, tools such as Geographic Information Systems (GIS) were used, which facilitated global positioning and an inventory of the trees that make up the arboreal system of “El Poblado” facilities. Once geo-referenced, the trees were plotted on a map and each one was photographed to create an individual photographic register of the materials that were gathered and indentified. The Jaime Isaza Cadavid Colombian Polytechnic’s GIS system, the number of trees in the inventory and the species that were identified constitute a tool and is valuable information for the institution that allows the personnel charged with planting, material replacement and green zone management to have easy and quick access to the consolidated information and to plan the necessary maintenance activities, in accordance with the suggested management plan

No full textEn el presente artículo se presenta la aplicación del modelo KVA (VALOR AGREGADO DEL CONOCIMIENTO) para la medición del capital intelectual en las organizaciones, presentando como caso de estudio la aplicación en una entidad de educación superior como lo es el caso del Politécnico Colombiano Jaime Isaza Cadavid. Este artículo inicia con la presentación del modelo KVA, seguido de la descripción de la aplicación del modelo y finalmente se muestran los resultados obtenidos así como algunos elementos a tratar en trabajos futuros ABSTRACT This article presents the KNOWLEDGE VALUE AGGREGATE METHOD – KVA for the intellectual capital measure in companies, presenting specifically its application to a superior education center as it is the Politécnico Colombiano Jaime Isaza Cadavid. This paper stars with the KVA method description, followed by the application of such method in the commented institution, and finally it is presented the obtained results and some future works.
