Tiedot pohjautuvat Erikoiskirjastojen ja tietopalvelujen verkostolle 2017 loka-marraskuun vaihteessa tehtyyn verkkokyselyyn. Kyselyn päätavoitteena oli selvittää kuinka laajasti Melinda-yhteistyö kiinnostaa erikoiskirjastoja ja millaisin resurssein niissä tehdään aineistonkuvailua. Kyselyssä tiedusteltiin muun muassa mitä kirjastojärjestelmiä erikoiskirjastoissa käytetään ja millaisesta aineistosta heidän tietokantansa koostuvat. Kyselystä saadut tiedot luovat edellytykset mukaantulolle Melindaan. Raportin lopussa hahmotellaan miten erikoiskirjastojen mukaantulojen kanssa edetään kartoituksen jälkeen

Before coming to Lynn, Melinda moved to Boston in 1978, where she began performing at Jacques Cabaret. Her interview was conducted in December 2023 at a 47 Central Reunion organized by George Chakoutis in Olde Thyme Italian restaurant. She discusses the challenges of growing up as a poor, gay black boy in segregated Detroit, where one could be arrested for failing to wear three articles of male clothing. No full textThe Melinda Guttmann Collection is principally a research collection, holding papers assembled during the creation of Melinda Guttmann's works on Bertha Pappenheim. Such works include a few short articles on Pappenheim, a one-woman performance piece entitled Anna O.'s Private Theatre, and a book called The Enigma of Anna O.The collection includes documentation by Melinda Guttmann on Bertha Pappenheim as well as a considerable amount of articles on Bertha Pappenheim and related topics that provide a context for looking at her life, such as articles on Jewish and German history, psychoanalysis, feminism, and women's history. In addition, there are also translations of the writings of Bertha Pappenheim. Additional research on Bertha Pappenheim includes video interviews with individuals who knew Bertha Pappenheim.The collection holds only a small amount of material on Melinda Guttmann herself, including a few letters and résumés.For further material on Bertha Pappenheim, see also the Bertha Pappenheim Collection, AR 331. In addition, several biographies of Bertha Pappenheim are available in the LBI Library.Melinda Guttmann was a member of the faculty of the John Jay College of Criminal Justice at CUNY for a number of years, where she taught in the Department of Speech, Theater, and Media Studies. Her performance "Anna O.'s Private Theatre" was shown with lectures internationally, and she has published several articles on Bertha Pappenheim. Melinda Guttmann’s publications include many reviews of performances, as well as a number of articles and performances about nuclear disasters.digitize

Get PDFNew forms of aid, including “philanthrocapitalism” such as The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, are rapidly altering the international aid architecture for health. These organisations have financial power, actively shape agendas and influence policy. The rise of non-traditional donor organisations creates opportunities and has implications for Australia as it scales-up its aid program. AusAID could collaborate, complement, compete with, or copy these organisations. Arguably the biggest strategic implication is that they expand AusAID’s programming choices. This increased flexibility could be used to leverage and accelerate further reforms in the UN and elsewhere. But choice is a two way street. Developing countries may prefer large, grant financing from non-traditional aid organisations and choose to bypass traditional multilateral and bilateral development agencies.Aid, non-traditional donor organisations
