    MONEY CREATION IN AN ISLAMIC MONETARY SYSTEM: A COMPARATIVE STUDY, BETWEEN MUHAMMAD UMER CHAPRA AND MABID ALI AL-JARHI

    The creation of money is the most important part of monetary policy, it determines the supply and circulation of money with main goals to main the stability in the value of money. The prevalent money creation system is still regulated on debt basis, and interest rate is the most important instrument of it. This particular system is clearly against the principle of Islamic economics which prohibits the use of riba and interest rate of any kind. The use of interest rate in money creation system would cause inflation and instability value of money. And yet most Muslim majority countries are still implementing such policy that includes Indonesia. Acknowledging the previous background of research, the author tends to conduct its undergraduate thesis on money creation in an Islamic monetary system by comparing the two renown Muslim economists Muhammad Umer Chapra and Mabid Ali Al-Jarhi. The research aims to know and understand the concept and mechanism of money creation according to Muhammad Umer Chapra and Mabid Ali-Jarhi and then to compare the similarities and differences of their thoughts. The research is a qualitative and literature-based research, the author would use descriptive comparative method to analyse and understand the thoughts and ideas of Muhammad Umer Chapra and Mabid Ali Al-Jarhi on money creation in Islamic monetary system. The author would descript their thoughts and ideas and then compare the differences and similarities of both. The research revealed the similarities and differences between Chapra’s and Al-Jahri’s thoughts on the concept and mechanism of money creation. The fundamental difference could be found in the concept of money creation, where Chapra proposed and suggested the use of monetary targeting framework, meanwhile Al-Jahri proposed inflation targeting framework. However, they both in agreement that Islamic banks have the capability to create a significant amount of broad money. Nevertheless, they have different approach of implementation of Islamic monetary policy instruments to control the creation of narrow by central bank and broad money by Islamic banks.     QoS Analysis on Video Streaming Service Traffic using OSPF Protocol

    The demand for video streaming services is constantly increasing, which requires reliable network performance with high Quality of Service (QoS). One of the solutions to improve network performance and guarantee QoS is to implement Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS). This research aims to analyze and compare the performance of non-MPLS and MPLS virtual IP networks on video streaming traffic. The research method is conducted through experiments by implementing two routing scenarios, namely non-MPLS networks that implement the Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) protocol and MPLS networks that implement OSPF with the addition of MPLS mechanisms. Tests were conducted using iPerf3 to measure UDP and TCP traffic (upload and download). In addition, QoS parameter analysis was conducted using Wireshark software on video streaming services with 360p, 480p, and 720p resolutions. The results show that MPLS networks can increase throughput, reduce delay and jitter, and reduce packet loss, especially at higher video resolutions. Video with 720p resolution experienced the most significant improvement, namely the throughput value increased by 40.73%, while delay and jitter decreased by 29.40% and 30.28%, and no packet loss was found. This shows that MPLS performance can provide better data transmission for real-time multimedia services such as video streaming.    Permintaan terhadap layanan video streaming terus meningkat, sehingga diperlukan kinerja jaringan yang andal dengan kualitas layanan Quality of Service (QoS) yang tinggi. Salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan kinerja jaringan dan menjamin QoS adalah dengan menerapkan Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan membandingkan kinerja jaringan IP virtual non-MPLS dan MPLS terhadap trafik video streaming. Metode penelitian dilakukan melalui eksperimen dengan menerapkan dua skenario routing, yaitu jaringan non-MPLS yang menerapkan protokol Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) dan jaringan MPLS yang menerapkan OSPF dengan penambahan mekanisme MPLS. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan iPerf3  untuk mengukur trafik UDP dan TCP (upload dan download). Selain itu dilakukan analisis parameter QoS dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak Wireshark pada layanan video streaming dengan resolusi 360p, 480p, dan 720p. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jaringan MPLS dapat meningkatkan throughput, mengurangi delay dan jitter, serta mengurangi packet loss, terutama pada resolusi video yang lebih tinggi.     Learning is an effort to teach students to understand how students want to learn and gain experience. The effectiveness of the learning model affects student learning outcomes. In small groups, you have the opportunity to exchange ideas, express opinions, and contribute to the development of shared understanding. The case study was conducted at SDS Islam An Nuriyah school using mixed methods. The author hopes to contribute to the development of a more effective learning model for fraction material, especially for elementary school students, and can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics learning. At the pre-cycle stage, the data showed that out of 35 students, only 17 students (48.6%) reached the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) of 70, while 18 students (51.4%) had not reached the KKM. This shows that there are problems in the learning process that need to be improved so that students are more active and learning outcomes improve. It can be concluded that the jigsaw cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes on fraction material in class V of SDS Islam An Nuriyah Jagakarsa in the 2017-2018 school year. &nbsp
