A novel scheme for spectrum prediction in cognitive radio networks / Mehdi Askari and Rezvan Dastanian
An efficient spectrum prediction model is presented to improve the spectrum utilization in cognitive radio network. In this model, a novel improved version of Teaching-Learning-Based-Optimization algorithm, also referred to iTLBO algorithm, is proposed to train a feed forward artificial neural network (ANN). The performance of the proposed iTLBO-ANN model is compared with some hybrid prediction models, including the genetic algorithm with ANN (GA-ANN), the firefly algorithm with ANN (FF-ANN), and the conventional TLBO algorithm with ANN (TLBO- ANN). Performance evaluation via a real-word spectrum data set (GSM-900) confirms that iTLBO-ANN outperforms other spectrum prediction schemes in terms of prediction error and prediction efficiency
A retailer inventory model when the reliability of inspection system affects the percentage of defective items which are delivered to final customers
This paper studies an inventory model system in which the inspection system reliability hinges on the reliability of its components and affects recognition of defective items over the planning horizon. The inventory model is discussed during the useful life of the inspection system and its components will be sold at the end of the useful life at the price of salvage value. The goal is choosing the internal components of the inspection system, determining the order and fixed shortage quantity, number of ordering cycles to maximize the revenue that is gained by the retailer. After that the model is formulated and discussed in details, particle swarm optimization (PSO) and genetic algorithm (GA) are used to solve the proposed model. To demonstrate the application of the proposed methodology and assessing the performances of the solution algorithms, different numerical examples are solved and compared

A novel missense variant in PNLDC1 associated with nonobstructive azoospermia
: The most severe type of male infertility is nonobstructive azoospermia (NOA), where there is no sperm in the ejaculate due to failure of spermatogenesis. The predictable frequency of NOA in the general population is one in 100 men. Genetic studies have recognized dozens of NOA genes. Most NOA aetiologies remain idiopathic. Monogenic mutations can be a reason for a part of idiopathic NOA cases. To address this, we studied the pedigree of a consanguineous family with three NOAs by a family-based exome sequencing. Our goal was to pinpoint the genetic variants responsible for idiopathic NOA to aid future clinical genetic diagnostics and treatment strategies. Bioinformatics analysis followed by Sanger sequencing revealed that NOA patients were homozygous for a rare novel missense variant in PNLDC1(NM_173516:exon9:c.710G>A;p.Gly237Asp). In silico, single-cell RNA sequencing data analysis and protein modelling demonstrated that PNLDC1, Gly237Asp resided in the conserved region of the CAF1 domain which could lead to local instability in the structure and alteration of protein phosphorylation site. We conclude that the novel missense PNLDC1 variant may affect meiosis and spermatogenesis, leading to NOA and the genetic cause of this idiopathic NOA family. Our result helps genetic counselling for idiopathic NOA cases and provides the occasion for more efficient diagnosis in the clinical setting

KAJIAN KITAB DIRA SA T FI AL-HADI TH WA AL-TARI KH: AH A DITH UMMUL MU'MINI N ‘A ISYAH KARYA MURTAD A AL-‘ASKARI
‘Aisyah wa one of the wives of the Prophet Pbuh. who atrracted much attention. Among the Sunni, he received much praises –for one thing- because of the breadth and depth of his knowledge, as well as the narration and mastery of his hadith which were considered to be prominent among of the other wives of the Prophet Pbuh. On the contrary, there was a group of people from Shia who instead denounced and cursed ‘Aisha. Starting from this, the author was interested to explore one of the hadith books that tells how the figure of ‘Aisha based on the narration of hadiths compiled by a Shia scholar , Murtad a al-‘Askari. The writing of al-‘Askari can be counterweight to the “bad image†that has been given by the Shia to ‘Aisha. One interesting view was also conveyed by al-‘Askari is that the history of Islam ( from sending of the Prophet Pbuh. to the pledge of Yazid bin Mu’awiyah) can only be truly understood after examining the hadith narration of ummul mu’mini n, ‘Aisha. This research is a literatur review. The discussion of which uses descriptive-analytical method. This paper generally tries to introduce the hadith book titled Dirasat fi al-Hadi th wa al-Tari kh : Aha dith Ummul Mu’mini n ‘Aisha by looking at some general aspects of the composition of the book, including writing background, content, systematic, method, examples of discussion, and also describes the advantages and disadvantages analyzed from several section of the book. Based on the results of the discussion, the author considers that al- ‘Askari tried to put a description of the figure ‘Aisha objectively based on the historical hadiths that originatedfrom ‘Aisha and also the the other companins (sahabah) about ‘Aisha and the event surrounding herself. In discussing the death of the Prophet Pbuh., al-‘Askari included a variety of narration that seems contradictory about the Prophet’s death moments,â€whether in the lap of ‘Aisha or ‘Ali?!â€. Based on the tarji h method, al- ‘Askari more favored the narration of hadith which said that the Prophet Pbuh had died in the lap of ‘Ali because more were narrated ( four companions /sahabah). Interestingly, the source of the narration referred to byal-‘Askari is almost entirely derived from a number of well-known Sunni scholars. This was done to show how scientific research must be carried out without looking at affiliations of certain religious sects. Keywords : The Narration Hadith of ‘Aisha; Murtad a al-‘Askari;The Hadith Book of Shia; the Hadith of the Death ofthe Prophet Pbuh; The Islamic History
Mehdi MoradiTabar et al. / International Journal on Computer Science and Engineering (IJCSE) Locating ATMs in Urban Areas
Abstract — In recent years, the banks and financial institutions have considerably attempted to provide better and more varied services to the customers. These varied services may satisfy needs of different group of customers. In this regard, the location of these services as well as their level of accessibility (access to these services) is greatly important. The importance of these issues is well recognized by responsible managers of the financial firms. In other words, the managers accept the importance of these services and they know that the quality and location of these services significantly affect their success in the business. Therefore, bank managers sought scientific methods, which may facilitate the locating process for their services. How to select the most effective methods and how to use these methods in this regard depend on following factors: the customers ' demands, local capacities and fair distribution of the services, etc. The effective impact of these factors as well as the interactive relationship between them should also be noted in the application. This study is a descriptive kind of research, which is applicable in various areas. Library and environmental studies were used to conduct the study. Considering the parameters that considerably affect the level of acceptability of ATMs services and analyzing the importance of these parameters according to this criterion, the researchers tried to use multiple attribute decision-making model. a heuristic algorithm was used in the context of this approach. Then, the most appropriate locations around the optimal locations were introduced based on fuzzy concept as well as quantitative and qualitative factors, including the minimum cost and maximum coverage according to the customers ’ demands. The case study was located in the 13th district of Tehran city
Achaemenid "ritual architecture" vs. "religious architecture": Reflections on the elusive archaeological evidence of the religion of the Achaemenids. Appendix by A. Askari Chaverdi, P Callieri: the monumental buidling of Tol-e Ajori (pp. 394-97).
In the frame of the congress dedicated by the Collège de France to the issue of the religion of Iran during the Achaemenid period, the author was asked to present a contribution regarding the archaeological evidence of Achaemenid age regarding religion. In his contribution, the author proposes the innovative distinction between a religious architecture, which for the Achaemenids has practically no archaeological evidence, and a ritual architecture, in which many Achaemenid buildings can be included. Shifting the focus of interpretation from a religious architecture to a ritual architecture allows a new approach to the Achaemenid world which appears much more fit to a correct understanding. In an appendix written with Alireza Askari Chaverdi, the authors also present the newly discovered monument of Tol-e Ajori, for which at the time of the conference a ritual function seemed possible (an interpretation which successive excavations have modified)
